Deceptive processesPurchase a day subscriptionAutomatically renews for a a $day
I purchased a 5-day access to RoomsterThere was no notification about the automatic renewal after the day period ends at the moment I made the paymentLater, I realized that my account was charged automatically for a 30-day periodI contacted the support, but they keep replying me with automatic messages, which is not helpfulThis is the response they gave me all the time:
"All Roomster subscription charges were authorized by you at the time of purchase via PayPal and a receipt was sent to you with instructions how and when to cancel to avoid any additional charges."
Apparently this doesn't solve the problem for me, since my account is already charged without my consent, and the support is not willing to resolve that problem for me
I tried to sign up for roomster because a lot of people are using it when listing their apartmentIt requires you to have *** , which I did not so I signed up for an account to be able to use roomsterIt deleted my account bc I didn't have enough friends No customer service contact
I canceled my Roomster subscription in July when they started charging me every weekI have emails and verifications showing that my subscription was canceledBUT I was randomly charged in OctoberI contacted the customer service and was told that it was because my subscription wasn’t canceled BUT I have PHYSICAL PROOF and pictures saying that it was canceledThey completed brushed it off and act as if I still had the subscription and I asked them for proof of my "subscription" and their "proof" was an email I have never seen OR ageed toI asked them how could I have an account with them when I am UNABLE TO LOG IN DUE TO NOT HAVING AN ACCOUNT.I tried asking for my money back but the customer service wasn’t helpful at allI decided it’s only I’ll let it go but I never want to deal with this godforsaken scam site ever againCustomer service even verified that I will NEVER be charged againBut on November 6, I was charged ONCE again What can I do to get my money back and why am I being charged for no reason?
Roomster is a platform application intended to create a marketplace for renters and sellers communicate for housing accommodationsTheir roommate referrals are fictitious, outdated, or scamsConsumers are screaming fraud in many product/service reviews, but Roomster is still taking money from the innocent
I am requesting a refund for this 30-day subscriptionReasons-
My email account is filled with spam from people offering accommodationsWhen I paid to look at the messages, half of them where deleted, and the rest where from other users spamming
Users post fake photos and have spam accounts on FacebookI paid for days worth of serviceI requested a cancellation of this service within 24-hours of its purchase
I asked them directly for my refund, and they responded:
"Warning: You are responsible for paying for this service chargeIf you dispute these authorized charges, Roomster will provide your bank with proof of authorization, turn your account over to a
I signed up for Roomster looking for a roommate in Los Angeles, specifying a roommate age 25-39, budget of at least $1000, and a move date of April All I got were 60+ men threatening me if I "screwed" them and year olds looking for a bedroom to share with their boyfriends right now this second with a budget of $After days of this I cancelled my monthly subscription and asked for a refund of my original $paymentI was rudely told original subscription payments were non refundableThey also disabled my account to the point where I cant log back in and use the additional days I paid forCool
The website is completely bogus In one month, I received over 'offers' of a room, however they were all worded exactly the same I responded to a few of them and never heard back from anyone I trusted the website would be legitimate as I found out about them from a seemingly serious online article on room mate websites
Roomster is an internet scam in the truest senseI was using Craigslist to search for rooms to rent and contacted a handfulThe majority of them directed me via text to sign up for a Roomster account (they provided a link that was not clearly a link to Roomster but directed me there when I clicked on it) - then, and only then, would they contact me to set up a time to see the propertiesSo I signed up for a free account and searched Roomster for the listings, which were nowhere to be foundI waited several days and texted to follow upStill no responseThen Roomster informed me that I needed to subscribe to their service (for a fee) in order to be able to receive messagesSo I did that, and still no response from any of the rentals that promised to contact me for a showingOnce I paid the trial subscription fee and completed my profile, I started getting messages about available roomsI emailed these offers back, and when I asked to see the rooms, they gave some excuse like being on a short business trip, and asked me to make a hefty security deposit before seeing the propertyWhen I responded that I would prefer to see the room first and could wait until they returned from their trip, radio silenceSo I started looking into Roomster and found loads of negative reviews and scam reports onlineI am sad that I wasted my hard-earned money and valuable time on a useless serviceBut I am even sadder that such a fraudulent company is allowed to continue to exist and to continue to steal people's money
Complete SCAM! They keep bombarding my email with FAKE People looking for a room just so I log into their app only to charge to see a response that NEVER EXISTED
I subscribed Roomster for day and paid for itHowever, they continued charging me for the next two monthsIf I want to continue with them why would I subscribe for days? I want to register for two months I would register for two months but they continue charging meI noticed the charges on my bank statement and immediately cancelled my accountI used another roommate site I did not have any problems with their billing systemRoomster is a scam to take advantage of customersI contacted them to refund me partiallyThey rejected my requestI am upset feeling trappedThey kept charging my card for the time I did not ask for
I signed up for the $trial subscription and never authorized for my account to be charged $for a full subscription accountI only signed up for the $because I had to to be able to read the messages in the inboxThere was no disclosure stating that my account would auto renew for $after the days was upI have already contacted their customer supportI want someone to contact me about my refund immediately!
HorribleThis makes me realize I need to me WAY more distrusting of internet sitesNot only were all the listings scams, but ROOMSTER themselves are scammersThey make you pay a small fee for a 5-day trialWhich I quickly saw that the site was full of scams and never logged back inOnly months later to log into my PayPal and see they've been charging me $per month for some on-going subscription I never consciously signed up forNow I went ot heir site to try and stop it and it runs slow and is giving no confirmation that my subscription has been canceledWOWZERO STARS
Paid for a 5-day Roomster account, KNOWING that if I didn't cancel it on the fifth day, they would charge my credit cardI DID cancel on the 5th day and they charged my credit card $anyway! WHAT A SCAM!! And all of the 'contacts' I received were for different cities/states that I had no intention of moving to, or they were much more expensive than my price for an aptTotal scam and a waste of timeDon't bother with anything besides Craigslist because all the others are money-grubbing s

This company is super shady I posted an ad (on a free site-Craigs) looking for a tenant for my spare bedroomI received several emails and text messages from people I thought were legitimate potential tenantsTurns out they were all from roomster trying to get me to sign up to their website They initially pretended to be interested in renting the room These tactics are what make the internet such an annoying place to do business
Rokmsters has somehow tied into SEVERAL *** add for rentals and rooms
I have responded to at least *** adds for San Francisco, yet I get a text to:Apartment still available if interested please sign up here *** The last are always a different code
You go the the link and have to sign in with *** user account
You have to pay, there is a e day trial for 3.95, yet they don'the tell you it automatically does a monthly renewal of
Only found that out afterwards from my PayPal account
There are several complaints online When I ask Rokmsters, they said they do not have links to *** adds Seems to be z blatant lie
I purchased a day trial service for That was my sole intent Of course in the fine print this organization slips in a disclosure that upon expiration of trial they automatically renew it for months at a month The fact that it says trial service is misleading to their intent of forcing you to subscribe to months Was told I shoukd have read contract completely and that I am completely out of luck I asked if I coukd call them directly to discuss issues and that only email contact thru their site was the only way But you can only talk to them if you keep your account active.hence suckering you into staying thru days hooking you in to the that you as a guest never truly intended when you brought the "trial" subscription It's a cruel cycle and an extremely poor business decision to conduct as they do My guess is most people would drop them or not buy them at all beyond that initial day trial It's this that I have issue with and feel I deserve my
Roomster required a membership to use the message boxWithout paying a membership, it states that you can send messages and view, etcBut there is no way to read messages from the tenant unless you payIf you pay, then you are subjected to a stipulation: if you don't cancel on time then you will be charged $How absurd!
I was hours late to cancel my subscription and when I contacted them, they had nothing to sayThere's also only email to contact so they refrain from being personable
roomster keep taking money out but paypal account without my authorization
Roomster is a waste of time and moneyALL scams, took day trial & WOW.-REALLY BADOne email sent me addresses with different pics of girls were same pictures of the roomContacts my email.,Okay lets see this place?
