I am rejecting this response because: the Sacramento Bee Finance department has not yet contacted me, and it was their decision in this matter that caused this complaint to be filed I will let you know if they have changed their mind to issue a full refund as they initially promised, but in the meantime I have filed a complaint with the State Attorney General’s Office, and also intend to file a complaint with the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office as well as claim in Sacramento County Small Claims CourtBest regards [redacted] ***

The SacBee resolved this issue when they said on 3/they were issuing a full refund of $ As of today, we have not been issued a refund, either electronically or a hard check How long does it usually take? I am rejecting this response because:March 22, 2016Thank you for your March 18, communicationFurther dialog would seem fruitless in this case.Consider the following:Subscription was cancelled August The Bee activated subscription absent my consent NovI received no paper following cancellationI received statements (bills) in November - December, and JanOnly the Jan bill had an amount...$Prior bills were without amountI placed four or five calls to *** *** number - one voice contact, others found office closed but was advised the Bee reactivates subscriptions absent customer consentJanuary a rude collector type person called, told him all of the above and if they would send bill, explaining what it represented I would pay it just to terminate their pestering me - hence the $bill that I paid under protestI was a subscriber to the Bee for some 36+ yearsSuggest your office retire this matter as you have spent far too much time already and the Bee has been paid, rather overpaid

This account was started 4/25/for weekend service onlyWhen the salesperson sold the subscription, he/she should have also given the customer a receiptOn the receipt, it states the paper will continue unless The Bee is notified otherwiseThe account was set to expire on 6/28/However, as
part of standard practice, The Bee sends out a renewal bill 3-weeks in advance to notify customers the paper will continue unless The Bee is notified otherwiseAfter the first renewal, Thed Bee sends a second and a third renewal with the same informationIn this case, the renewals were sent on 6/8/15, 7/27/and 8/31/before the account was stopped on 9/26/Since Mr*** claims he was unaware of calling to cancel, The Bee has cleared the balance of $All collection efforts have been requested to stopAnd, this does not affect Mr***'s creditThe collection company we use is a 3rd party vendor contracted to collect past due balances.Please feel free to contact us at *** if you have any further questions or concerns.Thank you

Bee does not hear from the customer, the paper continues throughout the grace periodThe Bee also sends additional renewal notices with the same informationIn this case, the second notice was sent on 10/22/and the third was sent on 11/26/Then, the account was stopped on 12/23/This process has not changedOn a few occasions, Mr***'s renewal payments have come in and processed after his expiration dateThe grace period allowed his paper to continue without interruptionSince The Bee values our long term customers, this account will be cleared of any balance owing on the account All collection efforts will be removedThe third party vendor, *** ***, will also be notified that this account has been cleared and is at a zero balanceThis does not affect Mr***'s credit and he will not see it on any credit reportThis is strictly a vendor The Bee uses to make last payment collection efforts.Please feel free to contact us at *** if you have any further questions or concerns.Thank you

I am rejecting this response because: I accept that Sac Bee did not negatively report to credit bureau.Re price disparity -- I know for a fact that your response is not truthful I know of people who pay a small fraction of what you were trying to charge me They were not new customers They live in my area They have the same, identical service and product that we do I know this for a fact I note Sac Bee did not respond re the automatic renewal service complaint And then Sac Bee does not receive cancellations submitted through their very own websiteThat's the way Sac Bee does regular business I thank Revdex.com for their efforts I believe any further response from Sacramento Bee is a waste of time
