I am rejecting this response because:Atten: *** *** ***Thank you for your correspondence of March 4, 2016.The Bee response seems self serving and a little left of accurateI cancelled the subscriptions of some years and months, Sep + 1, + - The paper continued to be delivered, the saturdayand sunday edition that I recycled, and called the newspaper and after several attempts and leaving messages, noone of which wer returned, contact as madeI was told that the Bee automatic delivery systems keep the delivery active but it would stopI recovered three more "past due" marked bills, with the amount left blankIn February or late January I received a "past due" bell for $Calling the newspaper twice, leaving messages results in no return calls until the call from the "collector" a gruff, made rude man who threatened legal actionsThis was late FebruaryI told the fellow if he would tell me what the $billing representedI would consider it or I might just pay it to get them out of my lifeAt that point the fellow hung up the telephonePerhaps he had a bad day or I some how offended himI went ahead and sent the Bee a check for $on February 27th, not knowing what I have paid forWhile it is pointless now to consider my further activity, but you need to be aware of the accuracy of the Bee response.Thank you for you assistance,

I also want to add that I Have complaint on several occasions to the Sacramento Bee about this matter of missing papersThe Sacramento Bee Office is not open on Sundays, as it was in recent years, so there is no one to complaint to about missing papers. This matter of the office being closed on Sunday is a disserve to the Sacramento Bee's subscription customers

Customer's account was in a grace period when the payment was posted on 3/6/Ms*** previous account started on 7/4/and expired on 12/25/Since the account does not stop automatically, the paper continued after the expiration dateThe Bee allows a day grace period for subscribers
to renew their subscriptionThe Bee also send out renewal notices stating the paper does not stop unless The Bee is notified otherwiseThe renewal notices for Ms*** were sent on 1/4/14, 1/29/& 3/5/Then, one of our retention vendors called to collect paymentThis payment would have paid the account until 6/18/Our records show several transctions placing the account on vacation stops from 3/14/15-3/22/15, then again on 5/21/15-5/26/15, then again on 5/27/15-6/6/Once the account expired on 6/18/15, there continued to be activity on the accountAnother vacation request was placed from 7/29/15-8/5/and 9/14/15-9/23/before permanantly stopping on 9/23/15.There is no indication of any refund on this accountSince the account was expired on 6/18/and stopped on 9/23/15, the amount owing is $However, as Ms*** states, she was under the impression the account was going to be stoppedThe account will be cleared of the $to update the account status to a zero balancePlease note, if you decide to resubscrbe at any time, the subscription does not stop automatically. I am rejecting this response because: the Sacramento Bee Finance department
has not yet contacted me, and it was their decision in this matter that caused this complaint to be filed I will let you know if they have changed their mind to issue a full refund as they initially promised, but in the meantime I have filed a complaint with the State Attorney General’s Office, and also intend to file a complaint with the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office as well as claim in Sacramento County Small Claims Court.
