Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: ? Convergent stated that there "are several factors that are used to identify and match the correct person to the accounts in our office, from name match, social security number match, date of birth match, etc" ? This may be true if the person who received the notice takes the time to call Convergent? However, there was NOTHING on the remittance asking the person to provide ANY identifying information if? mailed with a check? There were no instructions to include this information on their check? So in my opinion there is no way for Convergent to identify a payment made by the wrong person with the right name? ? There response is very polished but it is not true? This company is employing phishing techniques under a guise of legitimacy.? Sincerely, [redacted]

Convergent Outsourcing, Inchas investigated this complaintSprint placed this account in our office02/25/2013, to collect a balance of $on their behalfTo date,this is the first communication that we have received from Ms[redacted] in reference to this account.Upon investigating this complaint, we were unable to substantiate Ms***'s complaint that we have threatened to take legal action.Convergent Outsourcing does not find it has had any prior phone communication with Ms[redacted] and does not pursue legal action against consumers.In March of 2015, Sprint asked for a reconciliation of any accounts that reported to the credit bureausIn June the account was placed back on Ms***'s credit reportWe find the account is reporting both fairly and accuratelyThe statute of limitations for a written contract is five years in the state of Virginia.We do not find that this account is reporting past the statute of limitations.In response to this complaint, we see Ms***'s has stated she will not pay this balance The account has been placed in a cease communication status.We appreciate the opportunity to respond

Convergent Outsourcing, Inchas investigated Mr***'s complaint.Convergent Outsourcing only collects on balances placed in our office by our clientsWe do not attempt to scam consumersVerizon placed this account in our office on 02/25/16for [redacted] to collect a balance of$106.24.Our records indicate the account was placed in a cease communication status and phone numbers were removed on 03110/In our first phone call on 03/10/to Mr [redacted] ***, Mr [redacted] handed the phone to a female speaker who refused to verify or allowing us to speak to consumerShe told us not to callShe then terminated the conversationThe female contacted us a few moments later to reiterate no further calls were to be madeAt that point the account was placed in a cease communication status and phone numbers on account were removed after conversation with one of our managers

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I spoke with convergent on two other occasions not referenced in the emailed responseThose were the instances where PFD was discussedOne associate told me they would submit for a review to their supervisor after it was paid, the 2nd associate VOLUNTEERED that "usually it's removed automatically a few months after it shows up as paid". That aside, I have another issue nowIn the PDF response that was sent to me regarding this issue, the name of another Convergent Client is included at the bottom! Clearly this is a form letter where the compliance representative simply copy and pastes individual information into the letter, but in this case they failed to remove the name of the last person that they sent this same response too!! This carelessness is unbelievableI can only assume that my personal information is at risk of being accidentally included in a response to yet another individualIn addition to filing a separate Revdex.com claim, I will be contacting the CFPB to lodge a privacy complaint against the creditor Sincerely, [redacted]
