I have been in contact with gentleman, Mr. [redacted] at GE re: my washer.  He informed me the machine needs to be repaired by the repair company and they will NOT provide a new machine for me.  "That is not our policy."  This is disappointing.  I am STILL waiting for the machine to be repaired.  PARTS are still unavailable!!!   This is just AWFUL!!   For the amount of money I have spent at the laundromat, I could have purchased a BRAND NEW MACHINE!!!!   One of the agents I spoke with in February told me I would be receiving some compensation for the MISHAPSS of this machine.  Nothing has been received 
....  yet!!   I will contact her today!!

I talked to the consumer and explained the lights operation he is describing is normal.

Homeowner reports the part was received 7/2/2015 and installed by the homeowner.

we have agreed to exchange this consumer's refrigerator.

Thank-you for the opportunity to re-review this consumer’s situation. GE dispatched a service technician to the home to inspect the unit on a no charge basis.  GE advised that the unit should not be used due to the broken glass cooktop.   Please contact me if there are any other questions or if I may be of further assistance.

An in-warranty service call was run on 11/19 resulting in a substantial reduction in the sound in question.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
GE took the bare minimum steps to remedy the situation as replacing their defective unit. They took no steps to address the fact that they caused me to use PTO or take off from work SEVEN times in just two months for the same appliance to be repaired. Of those SEVEN days one was a no call/no show and another day on a weekend of which I had to call to have their supervisors track down the repair technician.  Their only step they took was to offer of an additional year of warranty that I could also purchase myself for $33. I find this repulsive and it shows a complete lack of respect for customers and shows that they don't value a customers time. This also does not take into account that the installation of the new dishwasher is different than the original as in now we cannot reach the control buttons on the top now to start the machine and need to use a utensil to start the machine (see attached photo).

Please be advised that I spoke with Mr. [redacted] yesterday regarding his concerns with his GE refrigerator. GE has advised him that his refrigerator is over three years old and out of warranty. As a gesture of goodwill GE has...

offered him a couple of options in assisting him in repairing the unit. At this time Mr. [redacted] has not accepted either offer. These offers will be open until December 3, 2014.

Yesterday I left a message stating that the refrigerator is still broken, I still don't have a working refrigerator. At the appointment of jan 18th the service man changed a fan on it but it didn't resolve the problem. He left his number so I called him numerous time and left a message so he can come back but he never called me back to reschedule. Please let me know what to do next

warranty. She has accepted this as a fair resolution to her complaint. She should receive the new unit in approximately 5-7 business days. The delivery agency will have to haul away the current unit at the same time they deliver the new appliance. I have not gotten the replacement unit, but what has been promised is that they will locate the exact same model of the unit that I originally purchased but WORKING... and install that for me.  IF they do this (replace the non working unit with the same make and model that I originally purchased from the store here) and assist me with transferring the extended warranty to the replacement unit that I purchased with the original purchase, this is acceptable.
