Daily Steals Reviews (474)

Review: I purchased a product (iPhone Mophie Juice Pack) from this company and when it was delivered to me, the condition was incredibly poor. It had multiple surface scratches, and even stains from previous use. I contacted the company to ask for a refund, which they refused because they stated the item still was functioning. The company's published policy (available on the website) states that even if an item is not defective, they will still return it with a restocking fee. When I brought this up, they don't honor it and they continue to deny me an exchange or refund.Desired Settlement: I would like the purchase refunded to me and an apology for lying on the website and for poor customer service.

Sincerely,

Review: I had ordered two items from Daily Steals. I was charged for both, but only received one of the items. I went to their website and submitted an email to customer support inquiring as to why the second item was not shipped. I never got an answer. I went back to the website a week or two later and it said my order had been cancelled, but I was not notified, nor received a refund for the item according to their policy. I wrote another email with no response. There is no contact number listed on their site and the number on the Revdex.com website sent me to an ink supply company.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the item that was not shipped.

Greetings,

Bought Nexus 5X as part of the dailysteals for 269.99.
When I received it, it was obviously refurbished. The screen protector was haphazardly stuck on with bubbles on it. The screen had a small scratch. The charger was a EU charger and not a north american charger. I bought the black version, but the charger and USB C cable was white.
Never going to buy from this scam site again.

Review: Placed order online with Daily steals on 12/**/2014 for 4 - House of Marley Headphones (Smile Jamaica Jammin - Fire) @ $10 for a total of $40. On 12/**/2014, $40 was charged to my bank account against the credit card I used to order the product. As of 1/**/2015 I have not received the product and there has been no communication from the company indicating a delivery date. Their website does not list a customer service phone number so I filled out their online inquiry form the week of Dec. [redacted] and Dec. ** asking when the products would be shipped. I provided my email address as a contact method. No response was ever received.Desired Settlement: The product was intended for Christmas gifts, so at this point I would like a $40 credit applied to the credit card I used to order the product

Business

Response:

Refund has been issued for customer.

Review: Purchased a Coby brand tablet off the website. Product does not work. Contacted the phone number listed for daily steals, it directs all callers to the website and disconnects the call. I sent an email on the website as directed 3 wks ago and have not heard anything from this retailer. I have no other route to take to get this issue resolved.Desired Settlement: Either a replacement is sent or my money is refunded. I don't purchase an item to have it not work.

Response:

Greetings,

Review: They had a promotion to buy a $20 credit for $10 earlier this year. I bought it. A few weeks later, still no code. I emailed them and was able to get it via email. This code did not have an expiration date on it.

I finally used the code in September and purchased (2) mats @ $10 each. So, with the coupon code, I'm paying $5 each.

They on their own canceled one of the mats and only sent me 1 mat. They basically negated the coupon and I paid $10 for 1 mat rather than $10 for 2 mats (with the coupon). I sent 3 messages to them in regards of this. No response. I them emailed the same person who emailed me the coupon code and again no response.

This is a $5 problem and they refuse to do the right thing!Desired Settlement: You are the ones who decided to sell a $20 credit for $10. If it was a bad business decision on your part, that is not the fault of the customer. You did the wrong thing to ignore the coupon. Cancel an order without my consent and just ignore every message I sent to try to rectify the situation.

Business

Response:

Hello,We apologize for the inconvenience. I have issued a refund in the amount of $5.00 to compensate for the use of the coupon. Please allow 1-7 business days for this balance to reflect in your account. The cancelled order was already refunded in full on October [redacted]. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.

Consumer

Response:

Their response about refunding the order in full in October is not true. They canceled 1 of the 2 mats, negating the benefit of the coupon and having me pay the full price for 1 mat. They cannot try to make that look like they did the right thing by refunding the money, because that's not what happened. They did however send a $5 credit to my [redacted] account after submitting my complaint to you all. This now resolves the issue. Thank you for your help.

Sincerely,

Review: I purchased a set of Logitech Z523 computer speakers from them on 6/**/2015 for $49. Once I received them, I connected them to my computer and the left speaker didn't work. I sent them back to the company asking for a refund. It has now been over a month and they still haven't refunded my money. I have emailed them multiple times and they have sent me two emails stating they have initiated a refund to my account and I should see this reflected into my account within 1-5 business days. I have yet to see the refund in my account and have tried multiple times to send them another email and I'm not getting any reply. I even requested they mail me a check instead and I have seen nothing.Desired Settlement: I would like my refund of $49 for the item that was broken when I received it and have since mailed it back to them

Business

Response:

Hello,I apologize for the delay with your refund. Our system incorrectly marked your refund as cleared earlier this month, but after reviewing it, it was not successful. I've issued a refund in the amount of $49.00 to your [redacted] account and it will reflect within 24 hours. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Review: DailySteals.com advertised a "new" iPad Air 32GB WiFi tablet with charger on their site. I ordered this product as it was a good price for a new iPad. When the product came, it was in a third-party box and had a third-party charger that does not work. I checked the serial number of the iPad on the [redacted] site to find that the warranty had already expired, meaning it was a refurbished/pre-owned device, not a new device.Desired Settlement: At a minimum, I want a replacement of the cheap, broken third-party charger with a genuine [redacted] charger for the iPad Air. Ideally, DailySteals.com should replace the refurbished iPad Air they sent with a new iPad Air, as promised in their product description of the product I purchased. I'd also like an apology for such deceitful business practices. Bait and switch has not place in a respectable business.

Business

Response:

Item is new. 1 year warranty is with us not [redacted]. We never said that the warranty is with [redacted]. Box was also sated on the listing as coming in a white box. If the charger is incorrect we can have a different charger sent. You can view the listing here: [redacted]

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]

It is not a new item. A new item has never been used before. This has obviously been used before as the warranty from [redacted] has expired. The warranty period with [redacted] starts when the product is first registered. The product is only registered when you turn it on, and during setup it gets registered with [redacted]. The product had obviously been registered in the past or the [redacted] warranty would not have expired.I would like to have a new charger sent as the one that was originally included is defective (you cannot get any USB cable--including the one sent with the product--into the charger). I would also still like an apology for misleading advertising. [redacted] ships their products in a white box. This product came in a multicolored box. White box in the computer world refers to the actual case of a generic computer--not the type of shipping container it is shipped in (I work for a large computer manufacturer, so I know). Misleading advertising. Please send a new charger and an apology.

Review: I ordered a phone charger from Dailysteals.com on 12/*/13 and entered the address to have it shipped to on their site. I paid for it with my paypal account and all was well. on 12/**/13 I still hadn't gotten notice the item was shipped, so I looked in my account and the item still hadn't been shipped. I noticed it was going to be shipped to address on file with my paypal account instead of the one I had entered on the dailysteals site. So, I contacted their customer service via e-mail (apparently they have no phone #) and after a few e-mails back and forth, the issue was supposedly corrected. On 1/*/14, I received an e-mail stating that my item had finally shipped. I looked in the e-mail and it said it was going to the address I had specifically told them NOT to ship it to. First of all, they should've never even known this address as it was attached only to my paypal account. They should've only had the address I gave them on their site. Second, what a huge hassle to have to e-mail back and forth over a few days to get it "corrected." Lastly, for it to take 1 month to ship a product is outrageous. I have asked that they cancel my order and refund my money as I don't ever want to do business with this company again considering their poor customer service and poor attention to detail.Desired Settlement: I would like my order cancelled and my money refunded.

Review: On July **, I ordered an Apple MacBook computer for $329 from Daily Steals. Order #[redacted]. On that same day, I received a confirmation email from Daily Steals, part of which read: "Please note that it can take 7-10 business days (M-F) for your item to ship. In rare cases, an unforeseen delay may occur which can extend the shipping time of your order." On July **, I received receipt of payment to Daily Steals through [redacted] via my credit card. On July **, I received an email that my shipment was on its way via Fed Ex. This email also included a tracking number for the package: [redacted] The tracking number never worked. Fed Ex. does not recognize the number. I emailed Daily Steals on 08-**-13, 08-**-13, 08-**-13, 08-**-13 and 08-**-13 about this. I have not received the MacBook. There was no response to any of my emails. On 08-**-13 I contacted Fed Ex and they confirmed that the package was never sent through them and the tracking number I received is not a Fed Ex tracking number. Thank you for your help with this.Desired Settlement: I would love to receive the MacBook.

Review: I purchased (as a Christmas gift for my daughter) a Dell Lattitude D620 Laptop on 11-**-14 for $139.00, and I paid via [redacted]. I received the laptop on 11-**-14. I inspected the laptop and powered it up, all seemed to be working fine, so I put it away until Christmas. My daughter first used the laptop Christmas Day, 12-**-14. As she used it through out the day, the battery pack got so hot that you could not even touch it. When I took the battery pack off, you can see that it had started to melt. I immediately emailed Daily Steals on 12-**-14 and asked if I could just have a new battery pack replacement, since the computer seemed to work with the A/C power cord and the battery removed. I received a response from [redacted] @ Daily Steals on 12-**-14 that stated they needed to contact the "supplier" to allow 3-5 business days. As my daughter continued to use the laptop with the A/C power cord and the battery pack removed, the computer went completely black and shows a screen that says, "hardware malfunction". I then emailed Daily Steals again on 12-**-14 and explained what happened and asked for a replacement laptop (I did NOT ask for a refund @ this time). I received an email response on

12-**-14 from [redacted] @ Daily Steals that they updated the "supplier" with the new information and to allow 3-5 business days for the supplier to get back to them. I have not heard back from Daily Steals since 12-**-14 and when I review my return request on their website all it states is "return rejected". So I then emailed Daily Steals again, on 1-*-15 and stated it has been well over 5 business days since my 1st email to them on 12-**-14 and at this point I just want to return the laptap and get a full refund, especially since my return states it was rejected!!! I have heard nothing in return from them. I have tried to call ###-###-#### + ###-###-#### with no luck. Phone just continues to ring and ring, no one answers. I would like to mail back the laptop, but I don't want to just mail it back without anyone aware that it is coming back. Once Daily Steals has received the laptop then I would like a FULL refund to my [redacted] account!!! Thank you.Desired Settlement: Full refund of 139.00 to my [redacted] account.

I FINALLY RECEIVED MY REFUND.

Sincerely,

Review: I purchased a gear 2 neo watch on 11/**/14 for $139.00, had it for a few days in which I noticed the battery wasnt holding a charge for long. I was emailed a shipping form in which I mailed the watch back and they received it on 12/**/14. I have contacted them several times since they got the watch wanting to get my refund they were honoring and they said it was refunded on 12/**/14 and if not seeing it to call bank and I did that and my credit union had no proof of the refund. Ive contacted several more times and they sent me an email with the refund info on it but the money isnt in my account. I told them several times I want my money and they havent given it to me yet. Im very upset because that is alot of money for me to lose. I paid for something that I dont even have and was promised a refund and still havend received it.Desired Settlement: They need to make sure the money has been put in the right account and they also need to call the customers or have a way that we can call them in matters like this. I want my money and they need to refund it now!

Shameful company!

Review: Hello. I recently bought a iPhone 3GS (Order ID: [redacted]) that was supposed to be refurbished. Once I received the phone, I found a small, deep crack on the back. There was also a small deep scratch on the back. The crack will likely expand in the future. I have bought many refurbished products in the past and they ALWAYS looked new. I also assumed the phone's were up to Apple's standard for refurbishing the phones (link below and a small excerpt). I contacted them numerous times (I even sent them pictures) and was always rejected (have the emails) for a refund. I simply did not want another phone from them. They said that it is against their policy to offer a refund or even an EXCHANGE (which I would have been okay with). At this point, I'd only take a refund. Now, they aren't even responding (have not responded to my last email). They stole my money. They said it was refurbished and sent out a phone with a crack that will likely expand and ruin the function of the phone. This is the only time I have EVER submit a Revdex.com complaint. Daily Steals is definitely shady and the WORST company I have ever dealt with. Their customer service is horrid. "is fully tested (including full burn-in testing). is refurbished with replacement parts for any defective modules identified in testing. is put through a thorough cleaning process and inspection." That comes from... [redacted]Desired Settlement: Send me a pre-paid shipping label to send back the "refurbished" phone that I have not used at all yet. Please give me a full refund once the phone is received.

Response:

We will issue a RMA/RSL for the damaged item.

Review: I purchased ten units of a product (The Miccus Bluetooth Receiver) on 8/**/2013 for $250.00 (order #[redacted]). It arrived via UPS on 8/**/2013 and eight of the ten units are damaged. There was no packing material in the box with the items, so when the box got crushed during shipping, the units were crushed as well.

I subsequently requested a return of eight of the ten units and even sent pictures of the damage as requested by them. The request was denied by via e-mail by [redacted] at dailysteals.com, stating, "as a final sale site, I am unable to approve a return for the reason you have provided."

I believe New York and Ohio law both provide for the ability for a consumer to return merchandise, particularly if it is damaged.

All I ask is a FULL refund and that they pay for the return postage, but they will not grant it.Desired Settlement: FULL refund and return postage paid.

Business

Response:

Review: On 01/**/2014 I purchased an item from Daily Steals (order # [redacted]) my credit card was charged. Review: ordered three headsets and only one shipped to me even though they show they shipped three. I did not receive the other two. Customer service says they are looking into it. I asked for an update and no response. This has been 11 days now.Desired Settlement: I either want my other two headsets or a refund for the two I did not receive.

Review: I made an order (order# [redacted]) back in 3/**/14, which I never received. When I check the companies website it states that it was delivered. At this time I emailed dailysteals in order to get an update of my purchase since I never received it, even though they say it was delivered. I got no response. I then decided to do my own research only to find that the product had been delivered, but it had been delivered to their warehouse. Apparently they wrote my address incorrectly on the package and the post office did not know where to deliver it to so they sent it back to dailysteals. I have sent 4 more emails to every possible department at dailysteals and have not received a response yet. This has been going on for over a month. At this point I am just asking for a refund, because I don't want anything from a company whose customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. I cannot support a company that totally ignores its customers.Desired Settlement: I am asking for a full refund, but an apology would also be appropriate.

I have submitted this request through your website twice already with no response, twice via email ([redacted])...with no response, and two phone calls resulting in an automated voice stating "[redacted]"Desired Settlement: I would first like a full refund and RMA for the product so that I can ship it back.
