Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: Lame response from business! Hopefully our complaint can deter present and future customers from closing on their homes prior to trusting their dishonest employees who lack integrity If we can get at least one potential customer to reconsider their purchase or delaying their purchase we will be satisfied Hopefully this will cause the business to lose much more money than they would have had to use to repair our our lawn and replace our dead sod/tree and shrubs At this stage we would not recommend business to friends or associates due to our issues with landscaping and poor resolution efforts I have been attempting to do the repairs on my own and have found the following items under the dead sod ( metal pipes, bottles, bricks, wooden 2x4's and large rocks over six inches in lengthby Our displeasure will be emphaticacally highlighted on our customer satisfaction survey. Thank you for the opportunity to respond and post our dissatisfaction

Complaint: ***
I
am rejecting this response because:The attached warranty report indicates the issues that I've had with my home with regard to water leaks in various areas of my home (starting on page 10)It is not required that an individual get on top of the roof to see that my home does not have drip edge flashing (see attached photos of a PAID roofer)I've had MAJOR water leaks in various areas of my home with no explanation or proper repairBased on the IRC code - RDrip edge, my home was constructed while the code was enforcedThe City of San Antonio Development Services Department indicated that this WAS indeed a requirement when my home was builtI was told that felt would be added to the roof which should've been done in the beginningUntil this issue is completely resolved, I will continue to be a disgruntled homeowner (you would be also if you experienced water damage days after moving into a BRAND NEW HOME...and then to receive patchwork as a "quick fix..." unacceptable).

Below is our response to Ms*** most recent comments regarding her complaint. Please let me know if I am supposed to mail this, as well Thank you again for all of your help! I hope this will help to resolve this matter for Ms*** We appreciate that this person has taken the time to visit our model homes at Taralon and do understand that it can be frustrating to not be able to view all homes that are or will be built within a communityUnfortunately, it’s not realistic to offer a model of every floorplan being built in a community, nor is it typical within the industry to do soHowever, at Taralon we do offer three models for prospective customers to tour so they can get a flavor of how the homes are designed, as well as to demonstrate construction quality, standard features and some available optionsThe models that we demonstrate are the Sunsprite, Portland, and CrimsonSome of the Taralon floorplans have been built previously in past communities and we typically do have photos from those homes that we would be more than happy to share with a customer, when requested. In addition, typically, we can tour prospective customers through homes that are under construction if we don’t have a model or completed home of that particular floor plan available for viewingHowever, as stated in our previous response, we are waiting for building permits from the local jurisdiction before we are able to start building more homes in this community and commit to completion timesThis person did mention completion times in her original complaint which is why we addressed that in our original response Our website displays all floor plans that are going to be built in Taralon along with the most current base price associated with that particular floorplanWe sell our homes in an organized manner through the use of “sales releases.” Each sales release will have a limited amount of homes availableDue to high market demand for our product, we generally will sell out of homes quickly in these releases which is why sometimes a certain plan might not be available for purchase at that given point in timeBecause of this, our website does state in its disclaimer that “Home and community information, including pricing, included features, terms, availability and amenities, are subject to change.” Typically, if a customer has an interest in a particular floorplan, our sales team will work closely with them to keep them informed when the next one becomes available We hope this helps to provide further clarification to help resolve this matter Sincerely, *** *** Vice President Sales and Marketing Portland Division *** *** * ***

*** *** I still have items pending that have not been addressedThe window in the kitchen has not been replaced, its been two weeks since I was informed the wrong item had been received. The matter with the rock wall is still pending, the survey that was performed did not satisfy the matter with the height and the footing. The refrigeration units were replaced however there are still some items left to discuss, this sub contractor failed to meet at the set time and date once again, I will set another appointmentThe second floor repair was poorly done and has to be looked at once more. The roof repair has not been completed and I have not heard from anyone on when that will be completed

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Specifically the monetary compensation is satisfactory I would like this record to reflect the following points with regards to D.RHorton's written response:1) I was referred directly to *** (in lieu of the D.RHorton website referenced) as he was the HOA's point of contact in re-mediating the original blow-out valve repair on 4/15/ Overall *** was respectful and kind throughout the process.2) My initial loss in water pressure was identified on 4/18/ The Non-Warranty Inspection offer occurred on 4/28/ D.RHorton's lack of response forced my hand in incurring costs to try and get the situation resolved My refusal to sign the Non-Warranty Inspection was because the inspection would have covered my home and not necessarily the meter or meter to street which had already been identified as the likely source of the issue.3) D.RHorton only contacted *** *** AFTER I had called them in order to obtain the most current reading During MY call with *** *** it was identified that my meter was not reading This information was shared by ME to D.RHorton, not vice versa.4) D.RHorton's response includes the following language: "nor was the obstruction a result of the work performed to the mainline previously." Just as I can't prove it was the cause this claim is equally false Bottom line is that we'll never know On 4/14/I had water pressure On 4/18/I did not The only thing that changed in between those dates was the repair to that blow-out valve.I regret having to come this far My ask from the beginning was to have the people involved in the original repair take another look Regrettably that appears to have never been a possibilityD.RHorton appears to have reached a point where unusual situations are forced into usual or typical problemsFinally, I would like to acknowledge and thank D.RHorton for reimbursing my expenses

The irrigation timer use of our neighbors remembrance ave is not our concern or businessThey do not have sprinklers working in the walk way of the major floods that I have mentioned and complained about before closing I was given Info before last inspection regarding how low the floor was and the soggy soil, we went back and forth in dealing with the concernI do not understand what my neighbors have to do with my issue, does that also apply to the new home that was just built and there is water standing to a home that no one lives in yet? Is it their irrigation timer also? Or their sprinklers are facing my direction? What is the excuse for that now? Regarding buying the house "as is" I do agree and I understood the contract agreementMy issue is that our family is having g issues days after we moved into the homeI also made sure with the seller and the man that inspect the home with me, before closing, that we notice any flaws in the homeAs I said from the beginning and I will continue saying that the or tiles in front of the main door entrance was the only thing brokenNo tiles upstairs or in the kitchen were brokenTill now tiles are continuously cracking through out the home and that's after closingSo, now that is consider buying the home as is? I didn't buy a home with cracked tiles all aroundIf that's the case I would of bought a home with KB Homes.
