To date I have been on the 'buyer' side of financing or refinancing at least and and on the 'seller' side of real estate transactions involving land, commercial, personal residential, single family rental, and apartment buildings, I can say my most recent refinancing experience with Quicken Loans is absolutely among the top three or four smoothest transactions I have experienced
Kudos to whoever designed and built their modelI am used to doing business face to face with a live person and had some early reservations about conducting a real estate transaction entirely online until the final document(s) signing, but from early on in the process, I saw advantages to the electronic communications
Questions can be asked and answers received in a timely fashion without playing the previously frequent 'phone tag' game or trying to find the 'right' person to talk toIf a question came up in the middle of the night, a question could be posted and an answer would be received the next morning; and if the question needs to be escalated to another individual, it can be forwarded internally by QL to the right person to respond
I was able to scan and electronically send copies of all required supporting documents without the hassles of hand delivery, mailing or resorting to costly overnight delivery to speed up the process
And finally, when I did speak to someone by phone they were always courteous, helpful, knowledgeable and professional
The chore of selling a home and buying another home is very stressfulThe part that Quicken Loans played was the easiest part of the processThey were on time of everything every step of the wayThey stayed in in contact and did everything they said they would doWe have used them three times now and will use them again
Although I was able to obtain a refinanced mortgage with Quicken Loans the procedure was,certainly not "quick"With my excellent credit score and am impeccable record of paying my bills in a timely manner I expected a,faster turn around timeLooking back it,was,one lengthy processI did enjoy talking to most,of your personnel
Although I succeeded in closing my loan from QL I am leary since I have heard some negative comments about the companyi will reserve my final decision after trying out their system of doing businessTime will tell
In July of I contacted Quicken Loans to ask about refinancing my home through a VA refi I was told I would need to put a $deposit down to secure the appraisal and document fees to be done I was told that if for some reason the refinancing could not be done through VA, that a conventional loan would be explained to me The appraisal was done and the appraiser noted some areas that she wanted repaired Most of the repairs were completely ludicrous Other than a single-pane being broken on a double-pane window, the other issues were going to be thousands of dollars out of my pocket My goal of refinancing was so I could do repairs to my home, like put new siding on the home The rep stated after the appraisal that the VA loan was not going to happen so I could do a conventional loan if I liked I decided to try that route I asked if the appraisal would be used from the VA loan process and I was told it would and that the conventional loan appraisal process is much les
I was extremely impressed with the professionalism of the Quicken Teams I worked with They were able to retrieve documents (mostly financial documents) that would have taken me quite a while to find and submit I had actually started a VA refi with another company that sent me a list of documents that I needed to get and send in Quicken actually got of those documents and made the whole experience so much nicer
Quicken Loans staff and overall were Amazing!! They were professional and very helpfulAlways kept me updated from start to finish I would recommend family, friends and anyone to Quicken Loans
