Quicken Loans (QL) responsiveness is impressiveI entered something online and was immediately contactedI decided to go with QL after checking with my current lender for a RefiThe process was quick and my only concern was the amount of emails and texts and calls I was getting whenever QL needed something - it was overkill and at times annoyingMy only complaint - I had to do a split closing due to my spouse being temporarily out of stateI was informed about a $fee for the split closing late in the gameThe fee to me was a nuisance fee QL should absorb given the amount of interest I will eventually pay to them
The staff members (3) were professional, having listened and responded to my many questionsMy refinance went smoothly, closing quicklyI would recommend this company to family and friends
Quicken Loans made this such an easy process for meI was able to get most of my paperwork done at my convenienceThe online account made it nice to be able to check in daily to see if any thing else needed to be completedThe staff at Quicken Loans were professional, again would call me at my convenience even after hoursThank you Anthony, Rose and the rest of my team!
Consumers beware I started my interactions w/ QL back in December of 2017, looking to get a pre-approval for a loan to see how much I could afford, while I did shop around a little, QL did offer me a rate I liked and ultimately I decided they would be a good optionI provided all my financial documents (pay stubs, W2's, bank statements etc.) very promptly and consented to them pulling a credit check During the home search timeframe, someone from QL would reach out nearly every week and constantly remind me to contact them once I found something I was going to be putting an offer in forIn February, I found a home, and as it was new contruction, where we were told the targeted closing timeline would be in Mid-JuneI provided them all sales agreement paperwork, which also outlined a 30-day financing contingency from the time of offer where I deposited $40k, which would be returned if it was known that financing could not be met within the next days, a very crucial windowQL at this time requested updated statements and paystubs which I provided promptly and pulled another credit check Things were progressing smoothly and at the end of April, they ordered the appraisal, which also came in as expected and I was able to lock my interest rateTowards the end of May, the builder was now able to promise a closing date in Mid-June, and QL was promptly notified, it was now about days out At this time QL again, requested updated statements and paystubs which I promptly provided and they pulled another credit check, this time without consent and a few days pass byNext I get a call from QL saying there's an issue w/ my bonus pay (I work for a large tech company that offers a large sibonus and then RSUs), and that this could not be factored in They offered no other resolution than to have someone co-sign the loan, this was not an option for me While I very much understand that they must adhere to their underwriting standards, why did they bring this up just weeks before closing, when they've had my information for nearly 5+ months and none of my information has changed? In every conversation I've had about my pay w/ QL, I've always pointed out the nature of my pay structure, and no one ever bothered to mention that this was going to be an issue, they would brush it off and say they've done loans w/ employees from my company beforeAll the QL representative could do was say he was sorry Later that day an Executive Resolutions Advocate contacted me saying they would do an investigation and that she would get back to in business days She called back in business days as promised, but all they could say was that this was missed/human error that should've been caught ideally during the pre-approval stage and that she was sorryI was now left to scramble weeks before closing and possibly lose out on my $40k deposit, the home I had been set on for the last 3-months, all b/c of their "judgement error"...Way to do your due diligence QL and really screw people and mess with their lives because you don't know how to do you job on the front end Your empty apology means nothing compared to the damage that you've inflicted with no consideration for the customer Lucky another lender came through and go me closed just on time, no thanks to QL
Our experience with Quicken Loans was exceptional From the first contact with Amber and everyone else on her team it went very smooth They always answered our questions in a timely manner and kept us up to date on everything that was happening Even when we were just waiting they let us know that all was well and that we were just waiting for certain papers or so on Our closing went smoothly also It was a very positive experience Bonnie M
Most of my experience with quicken loans was greatIt was simple to upload all of my documents online, and the bankers that I worked with were very communicativeThe only negative was with the closing specialist, who wasn't as informative, and also made a few errors
We used Quicken for a refinance and after reading so many complaints on the internet I was a little skepticalI honestly can't see how anyone could be anything but happy with themWorking with the loan officer was so easy and they presented different terms, rates and fees and is was even done on a Sunday night!!! The process was completely laid out online with an area to upload all your docs which I did that Monday and everything was all set by weeks endThe longest part was waiting for the appraiser to get to our home but once she did it was only week and now we're closed! The closing person also comes right to your home so you NEVER have to leave your house to refinance your home! Refinance saved us almost $a month!!!!!!!!!!! due to the lower interest ratesWe paid NOTHING out of pocket
While my other experiences were pretty easy, my most recent was more complicatedThey seemed unprepared for complicatedBetter understanding of our exact situation and proper planing and execution would have made for less stress all around
This company is so aggressiveI filled out a simple form, and received a callNext thing I know i'm speaking with one girl, then another guyThey run my credit report against my will and were so sneaky and aggressive that I had to hang up the phoneI am so furious with this company that I cannot ever work with them againThey are such predators
From the start they were very easy to work with and very thorough, I felt like they had my best intrest all the way to closingI was a little worried about using a lender that I couldn't meet them face to face, but after this I will use them again if I should relocate for work again
