Overall my experience with Quicken was positive I actually was able to get through the entire process from the comfort of my recliner (as a disabled person this was a big plus)I contacted Quicken because I thought the high profile cocould offer considerable savings(I have determined their savings nor costs were negligible), Early into the process was the most difficult in that I did not feel that the loan specialist was listening to my concerns, rather I felt he was following a script There were many times I was frustrated to the point of wanting to start over with another co., However, I am satisfied with the end product As said, I did not have to leave the comfort of my home until Closing and closing costs proved to be very similar to those from other cofor other home buyers near me

My experience with our refinance with Quicken Loans was the easiest, painless ever No fuss, we just sent them what they wanted to see and contacts to verify and they did the rest It took just days to complete our new yr loan and our payment is still less than we had before The people were professional and obviously knew what they were doing Thank you Quicken Loans for getting us in a very positive position with paying our house off early Love it!
While claiming that they offer a rocket mortgage it is anything butThey ordered an appraisal without due diligence on the appraiserHe is know throughout the community for appraising below valueHe missed counting three rooms including one of the bedrooms and came in $10k below selling priceWhen I asked Quicken to review this they actually told me that their collateral department would order a second appraisal, but not to verify the selling price, but rather to take the lower value of the twoThat appraisal couldn't be scheduled until days after close and they actually said it may go to the same appraiser
How would it make sense to address my complaint, as a buyer, that the appraisal was way off through this process? Needless to say I went with a local lender who knows the local appraisers and got me an appointment the following week with a competent appraiser
Also it is a shady practice to pre-qualify borrowers then after they find the home they reveal APR and pointsShop around first, they do not value customers with great credit and low debt/income enough to close a loan, hate to see how they treat customers with 600-range credit scoresI will never recommend them to anyone after my recent interactionI was handed off to a total of four different people with one set telling me I would close on time and another telling me it would be days later and I would have to cough up the $10k appraisal offset at closeTruly an unforgettable interaction

Quicken Loans Rocket Mortgage is true to its name The entire process, compared to past experiences with other Lenders, was "rocket" fast From start to finish, the process was easy, customer service was excellent, the rate was great and closing was a breeze I could not have had a better experience anywhere We knocked our mortgage down several years and the monthly payment decreased I am one highly satisfied customer!
We started the loan process with Rocket Mortgage on 9/6/to refinance our home I did some research first and we decided to move forward with applying On 9/15/after submitting all of our information via the web, running a credit check, title, etcwe receive a call that they do not finance manufactured homes set as real property A lot of paperwork and hassle could have been eliminated by a simple disclosure on their web-site that they do not finance them I also spoke with an actual person several times prior and this was never brought up till over a week into the process and having our credit pulled I also put just as much time and effort into paperwork as I would going to a traditional bank I do not recommend using Rocket Mortgage and feel their ads and web-site are misleading in information, time it takes, and ease of paperwork
Getting a loan was the easy partWe are professionals, have no debt, excellent credit scores, and money saved for a conventional loan We found a home, made an offer that was accepted in a multiple offer situation in a competitive marketQL ordered an appraisal that came in 20K below our offer This gave us a chance to renegotiate Without notifying any of the parties, QL ordered a second appraisal The deal was about blown My realtor found out, we initially assumed the seller had ordered the appraisal When I found out my lender had ordered it I was surprised and not happy I called QL and requested it be cancelled I was assured it would be and apologies were made A deal with the seller was signed based on the first appraisalThe next day, QL called me to say they were going ahead with another appraisal Why would a lender, knowing a borrower has the ability to negotiate a better price; and if not successful, has the liquidity to cover a higher price above the loan amount if he/she is able not be on their customer's side QL is no longer our lender Truly a horrible experience
