I want to let customer know that I will never recommend anyone to quick and loansIt is the most horrible experience ever and I'm not even using them for my loanI am in the process of selling my home and the buyers used quicken loans (which my agent didn't like from the beginning) because she experienced the horrible experience through quick and loansWe had a purchase agreement dated for closing on June 29th and they just sent an email stating they will not be able to close on timeFour people are effected by this dealThat means I can't move in my home on time and so on for the next three peopleThat is horrible!!!!!!!! The buyers and their agent had no clue it was a problem with their file! they haven't received any updates regarding challenges in closing until last weekJust horrible I will be sure to let all four agents involved to never let their client use quicken loansI am so disappointed with their services, lack of communication, and lack of consideration!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...⇄

I first contacted Quicken on a whim, not at all sure they would be able to work with me on my re-finance needsHowever, the representative, Derek Kinney, was a wealth of information and good suggestionsHe answered every question I had, presented the three best options, and helped with my culling process
The business they used for the appraisal was fast, efficient, professional, and accurate
The loan closed in under four weeks
As everything turned out, I got a lower interest rate, a lower monthly payment, and a nice check
I would DEFINITELY recommend Quicken Loans for a re-financeSpecifically, if you can get Derek Kinney as your contact, do it
I contacted Quicken Loans to refinance an existing propertyThey were quick to respond and strive hard to contact me to get the ball rolling with the refinanceThe agent Anthony Russell gave me the terms right away3.75% for 450k loan year fixedHe discuss that we will have to pay for appraisal and other feesHe quickly tried to get my mother in law to sign the paperwork online while he was on the phone with herTried to rush her into signing but unfortunately for him my mother in law is sharpQuickly saw that the numbers did not add up and called me to clarify 18k of discount costs and 3.2k of lender paid feesCalled him up and he explained that its the cost for bringing down the interest rate to This is not our first rodeo for refinancing and mortgages so 21k in closing costs to bring down a point off of interest was just ridiculous ask any mortgage lenderBut what really ticked me off was the fact that this was all explained after we questioned him about itWhat if my mother in law was elderly and not as sharp? We would have kissed that 21k byeThis was never discussed prior to the signing of paperworkFrom now on I am warning all my friends and relatives from this companyThis company should be aware of their employees actions and make sure they are ethical
The representatives were polite and very early in the process proactively reached out to gain my businessThe use of the QL app was helpful to sign and submit documents as I travel often
My experience would have been improved with clear and concise communication (i.e stating that submitting my tax return would expedite the process and later following up with requesting 4506-T to be signed which I had to sign several times due to by QL rep)What prevented me from signing 4506-T from the beginning? Additionally, timely follow up would have made the loan process less frustratingAfter submitting information there would be an approximate week delay if changes/updates were required vs frequent and consistent calls to gain my businessLast as my loan began to proceed forward there was inconsistency between representatives on statusOne representative would state a particular document was sufficient and a different representative would inform me what I originally submitted was not sufficientI would have to resubmit more supporting documentation
All they care about are the numbersNot about the person and what they have been through in lifeIt is not worth the time and effort for this companyHow do they get such good ratings!?
Quicken Loans made refinancing our first and second mortgages very easyOur mortgage banker listened to our needs and worked very diligently to deliverHe answered every question promptly, and was very courteous and professionalThe whole process was very smooth and we are quite pleased

Overall, Quicken Loans offered a good process, but in need of polishing if they are to advertise about their speedI did find Quicken to be a better option than our credit union because their closing fees were lower by $and I got a lower rate for the same loan
Two Issues:
1.) The client service coordinator did not look into our file to verify if they had received all our paperwork, and then called us to notify us that it was never sentThis was not trueI asked her to check, she stated she did and it was not sentI forwarded her an email from Quicken showing that the document WAS sent, as verified by their officeThis sounds trivial, but this was on her plate and she did not process the papers on time, resulting in a day delay in closing our loan
2.) Also I had to call Quicken to request a phone call from the notary to confirm closing timeQuicken left me a phone message with the notary's phone number and told ME to "reach out to" the notaryThis is not customer service!
While those communication issues were irritating, the overall loan process was efficientI submitted a review to Quicken and hopefully they will address those issues so the next customer will have a more seamless experience
