Submitted application at the end of January and was told everything looked good, qualified to refinance loan After weeks of submitting documents and getting a bad appraisal was told would have to withdraw my application because debt to income ratio was too high, even though they refused to use all of my income, received a bad appraisal and submitted several comparables to show the appraisal was incorrect Will never do business with the company again Currently have our mortgage with them and wanted to refinance to use the equity Will not recommend and will be looking to move our mortgage ASAP!
The process of refinancing our mortgage was extremely simple and everyone at Quicken loans was professional, knowledgeable, and a true pleasure to work with I highly recommend Quicken Loans to anyone wanting to finance or refinance a mortgage
I would like to say that I am very happy with my experience with Quicken on my refinance loanProfessionalism, and courtesy were far and above what I have experienced with other companies
At the beginning of the loan process, we informed Quicken Loans that we had to be out of our current residence by 4/ They informed us that it would not be a problem and that they would set the closing date at 4/ That sounded good Everything went along fine and then approximately a week or two before when we were supposed to close, we received a call that they needed to back the date up to 4/ This was an inconvenience, but we were understanding Then, less than a week before the new closing date, they said they needed to back it up to 4/ This was now a major problem as I had already booked a moving company, requested time off of work, etc But, seeing as how there was not much I could do about it, I shifted my time off work, and called about a dozen moving companies and managed to find one that had an opening on 4/ And then, the unbelievable happened Quicken Loans called and said they needed to back the date up to 5/2! They not only backed up the closing date for the 3rd time, they pushed it on beyond the drop-dead date we told them about at the beginning of the process Not only that, they were totally uncaring and flippant about the fact that it was causing significant hardship The conversation was something like:
Quicken Loans:"The new closing date is 5/2"
Me: "That is unacceptable We have nowhere to live after 4/ We have no way to handle this What can be done to still make 4/29?"
Quicken Loans: "I don't know, but the date is 5/now."
I originally thought going with Quicken because I thought that a company of their size would have the resources necessary to get things done in a timely manner I was very wrong A company of their size means that they don't need to care if they cause hardship to a customer here or there as long as the bulk are happy And I'm sure it works for them The majority are happy according to their reviews But I have no doubt that given our situation a smaller lender would have put more effort to making sure they didn't leave us homeless
My suggestion, if you want to go with Quicken Loans, that's fine But, you better hope you don't end up in a difficult situation, because they will not go out of their way to help you
I appreciate the professionalism of Quicken Loans They were very helpful in Refinancing my owner finance to a mortgage They were fast and very responsive And I believe that we received a fair deal too I would recommend them to anybody who is looking to get a loan to give them a shot
From the first click on pre-approval to the actual closing was less than days I found the staff @ Quicken to be very accurate, timely and helpful through the mortgage process There were no surprises or last minute changes to deal with Thanks to Anthony, Dennis and Treasure for their professionalism and assistance!

But my quicken loan specialist listened and heard me out and found a way to help us refinanceThe electronic process was seamless and transparent, and went without a hitch: from processing the application, to reviewing and signing documentation, to the closingI would highly recommend Quicken Loans for all mortgage financing needs
Quicken Loans was efficient and responsive through out the entire experienceThey never asked for the same thing twice, nor did they ask for explanations on items not necessaryWe closed on time, with a great rateThe whole process was simple, I could not have asked for better service
I am exploring refinancing and used their online tool to get a quick quoteFrom the online request I received the information that I neededSince then I receive 5+ phone calls a day, all from 'local' area codes with voice mailsit has been two weeks with no reply by meAt this point I consider this practice to be borderline harassment and refuse to work with a company with these practices
Im not likely to recommend quicken in the futureThe interest rates were not better than anywhere else, it's very fast moving high pressure closing tactics, the do not make good on the financial promise (i.eGetting your $deposit back at closing when what they actually do is give you a loan for
More than the value of your mortgage and at like they're doing you a favor by sending you a check you have to pay interest on - also I was referred by a silver card friend and should have received $from quicken for that, I told them and they brushed it off like "we'll address that later...which never happened) the appraiser they used was very unprofessional, down right lied to me about repairs in my home and misstated my property size (under evaluated it by an acre- said it was .87, my back yard alone is over an acre)I spoke to no less than different people none of which was the person praising over my account/ loan and after almost daily calls leading up to the closing I have recieved zero calls after the close
The two benefits to me are the underwriter came to my house, and I can pay my bill onlineThey did state that they won't sell my loan which would be a positive but who knows it's true or not
Next time, I'll simply look locally so I have one person within driving distance to hold accountable
