I recently completed a bill consolidation loan through Quicken Loans My experience was pleasant I was treated with professionalism and respect My loan process was prompt They did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it Kept me informed along the way Always available for questions Overall an excellent transaction
Quicker closing than anyone expectedeveryone kept telling me I wouldn't happen Quicken Loans pulled it off and we're more than helpful along the way It made a difficult reason to move into a positive experience I have e recommended them to anyone who would listen!
This experience came as a result of their contacting me with an opportunity to improve my situationThe process was faster than expected and went smoothly
QL was very quick and efficient with regard to the financial evaluation and loan approval processAll the loan professionals we worked with throughout the process were very friendly and responsiveTwo areas of issue: 1) they could be more communicative with EXACTLY the correct format type they need when requesting specific financial documents (i.emy wife and I had to submit our paystubs three different times before we through luck hit the format they wanted and the same situation arose with my 401k info); 2) despite giving full disclosure on all our personal info upfront a technical error with title transfer came up THREE days prior to closing that sent is scrambling for additional paperwork and legal docs for hours straight to make the closing happen on timeMy wife and I agree that this should have been caught and dealt with earlier to prevent all the panic attacks that subsequently occurredLOL
This was my third dealing with Quicken Loans - two mortgages and one re-fiAll the transactions were handled very smoothly and professionallyAll transactions (except for the closing) were performed onlineI could read the requests and upload information after business hours, which was very efficient for me
All in all, I am very happy with Quicken Loans and highly recommend them.them
We have had our mortgage with Quicken Loans for about yearsThey contacted me and told me they had reviewed my loan and that it was a good time to refinance our loan When they did their calculations they said that we could get our Mortgage Premium Insurance removed and after further researched, they said they could take our Home equity loan and roll into our primary mortgage and lower our mortgage payment significantly (over $200)
We went back and forth providing them with the paperwork they neededThen they told us an appraiser had to come out and do a walkthrough During this time our area was hit with bad windstormOur fence got blown over and a lot of the shingles of our roof were blown off It was a pain to schedule time with the appraiser to come out On the appraisal the Appraiser noted the damages needed to be fixed
We worked hard with our insurance adjuster, roofer and fence subcontractors to get the repairs completed in a timely manner Quicken was calling us every other day over day period, telling us, we just need to have the repairs completed and that everything great and they were ready to schedule a closing
Once the repairs were done and after routing the our final invoices a couple of times to them, they stopped calling We followed up a few times A couple weeks later we get called from another QL person, who is a solutions specialist, he says he was asked to step in to expedite our loan to close
He informs us the loan could not be closed because they our Home equity line was not on the books for months I wasn't very happy with this decision and asked why hadn't the caught this sooner We had been working with them for almost days since they first contacted us I reiterated they had contacted us to refinance we did not contact them I asked what else could be done, they had been calling us almost daily for the last few months telling us that things looked great and they were just waiting for us to schedule closing Now almost months later they are saying this cannot be done
The situations gets worse, as the solution specialist, then says he will look into just refinancing our first mortgage to get the PMI removed and to lower our payments He contacts me days later and advises they cannot refinance our Primary either because of a short sale that was not on the books for years I said now wait a minute, why wasn't the Short sale an issue before when they offered us the two options initially!!...silenceWe had fully disclosed this upfront and were told it was far enough back and they had pulled a credit report on day
All Jake could say is how he could understand how I would be frustrated with the situation and to wait a few monthsFrustration doesn't even begin to describe my feeling Why would I want to go through this untimely process all over again Why contact us, give us two options, say everything is great for days, send an appraiser out, and then come back and retract both optionsWhy doesn't their screening process catch things in the beginning They called us every other day saying things are great, we can pull the trigger as soon as repairs are done
Quicken Loans wasted tons of my time in phone calls and emailsThey switch employees out so that no one can take the blame They did all this to just tell us they understand! I would not recommend this company to anyoneThey are not competent in running their business
Quicken Loans also had an Executive Complaints specialist call me Catherine informs me since we didn't make a good faith payment that she was limited in what she could doShe could just review the situation and then would review with executive teamI informed her that there was no request from QL to make any good faith pmt I asked that she get back to me and advise how this situation would not happen in the future She said she could not share what changes would be madebut, would contact me once she got to the bottom of it This does me no goodI asked her what if a satisfactory resolution is not reached do I contact her She said No, she was only to investigate and advise the Executive team I believe they involved another employee to just divert attention away from the real problem Again, Very dissatisfied with the way QL does business They say they understand but, it is just lip service
I refinanced through Quicken Losns twice and would highly recommend themThe process was quick, efficient and enjoyableThey kept me informed every step of the way and there was always a contact person assigned to me
This is our first experience using an online mortgage loan company and must say that it worked without a hitch The system of uploading and downloading the required documentation was straight forward and worked smoothly That is not to say that it did not require some time and effort on our part to complete but that is to be expectedThe folks at Quicken Loans were very helpful and willing to work with us to move things alongI would definitely use them again and will recommend them to family and friends
Quicken Loans was great and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a home loan or refinance I started my process on August 31, and signed my closing documents on September 15th! It was the quickest easiest process I've ever been through with a mortgage company They're awesome!

I began the process to refinance a property with Quicken loansThe I provided the agent all the requested information along with the property value and loan balanceThe agent pulled credit (which was in the great range) then called back minutes later to say the house would need to appraise at $30k more than I explained it was worth just minutes agoI think this is very poor practiceTransparency is important is all financial transactionsIf this is a hard requirement for Quicken Loans, why wasn't it explained to me prior to a credit pullIf asked, I would have been able to make the decision for myself to continueQuicken loans hid important details to rope customers inBeware of these shady practicesUse a lender who cares about transparency, and doesn't hid important consumer detailsi questioned the agent, he had no answer for his unfair practices
Went to Quicken to refinanceIf you like being told one thing verbally and they turn around and do something else then quicken is the one for youEspecially Shawn AltadonnaOver the phone he told me loan amount was 135,and that one of our bills would be paid off he made it sound all goodThen we get the loan disclosure and it states 138,and the bill he told me they would pay off is not even on thereNothing but liesNow after our appraisal was done our loan is now 142,they are nothing but liars especially Shawn Altadonna, I hate dishonest peopleThey have no conscience they will lie and tell you everything for that moneyI wish I never had to refinance and if I had to do it all over again I wish I had not refinanced with Quicken loans so thanks to quicken loans and for my mom screwing us overI would not recommend them to my worst enemySeriously!!!!! Dishonest and shame on you Shawn Altadonna
