Quick and painless

My husband and I just refinanced and most of the experience was goodWe did get a little tired of all the paper trails they wanted on every little thingBut, whenever you call or contact them, they are quick to respond, and the process was very fastI am glad for thatWe were a little disappointed about our appraisal,( but they don't have anything to do with that), but because of the appraisal, they had to be a little creative with our loan and we appreciated thatWe are happy and would use them again

In I tried to refinance with Quicken Loans and my bankWas told their wasn't enough equity since I owed 101k and the appraisal from the bank was at 105kQuicken Loans told me they were not able to refinance due to the same reasonAt the beginning of JanI decided to try again since the amount owed was at 99k and was told the average selling price of homes in my area was 115kZillow had my house estimate at 111k and the house right next door sold for 114kI called Quicken Loans and quoted these numbers and they agreed I was at the numbers they were seeingWent ahead with the refinance and gave them dollars to do appraisalThe guy they hired came back with a appraisal at 83kHis appraisal found nothing wrong with the house, just the usual wear and tearI was shocked, two years ago the house was appraised at 105k and this guy comes up with 83kZillow estimates the value at 111k and the house right next door sold six months ago for 114kThese people are crazy

Quicken Loans was great and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a home loan or refinance I started my process on August 31, and signed my closing documents on September 15th! It was the quickest easiest process I've ever been through with a mortgage company They're awesome!

I almost hung up on a Quicken associate, but Jon said something that made me try one more timeI could not believe that a refinance could be done so quickly and efficiently on lineIt took less than a month to close my loanI paid off my second mortgage and another loan and saved $a month in paymentsI can now have my mortgage payments to Quicken through automatic deductions from my bank on the first of every month My life has changed by giving Quicken a chance to help me

Everything went great until we got near closingThe closing package had a form in it in someone else's nameWhen I pointed that out, closing was postponed until the issue could be resolvedThe next day the closing was rescheduled, but the incorrect form was still in the closing packageWhen I brought this to their attention a second time, I was basically blown off with words to the effect that closing was scheduled and all necessary forms were thereIt turned out that was trueThe incorrect form was an extraneous formAt closing, I refused to sign it and everything went through just fineWhy couldn't somebody have explained that it was an extraneous form?

The customer service was fine, but many times not all the information was disclosed when it should have beenThe process was quick, but one of the agents was a little too quick and demanding about how fast they wanted us to gather and submit personal informationThe deadlines were a bit too rigid for meThere are still things that I do not understand about my loan

Quicken was very easy to work with, answered all of my questions quickly, had a simple online interface to receive, view and sign all of my loan documents, and checked in by phone frequentlyThey even handled myriad issues with my realtor when I wasn't sure how to

Quicken has never been anything other than a problem for my wife and IWhen we first bought our hour it was an odd situationWe were buying the house from my mother-in-law who was on disability and couldn't afford the house and we were paying all of the billsBecause of that we had to make many modifications to the house to get it to pass inspection and pay out of pocket for itAfter making said modifications we assumed, and were assured multiple times over, that the closing process would be quickIt was notWe started the process in August and didn't get it finally closed until the day before ChristmasNo matter how many documents we gave them they always magically needed something else and the day we were supposed to close they sent an email to my mother-in-law asking he to bring a check for several thousand dollars for closing fees, that obviously being on disabilities she did not haveThey had to rework the loan so that we had to pay the fees and when we finally did go to close and they sent a notary to the house she only had half the documents and she had to use our printer to print them outThat may not be Quickens fault but still it quite unprofessionalFast forward almost two years and Quicken calls my wife out of the blue and says that we have been good customers and they have reviewed our account and have seen that our credit scores have risen, at no time did we authorize them to check our scores so either this was a lie or they did it without our consent, and they would like us to refinanceMy wife's first question is how much is this going to cost? The response: It will cost you nothingSecond question: We are looking at buying new vehicles How is this going to affect this process? The response: It isn't going toThis was three months ago They had to appraise the house again, which we were fine withWe did get two used vehicles and gave them the loan information times before they accepted itThe kept asking for personal information over and over along with bank statements and pay stubs (nothing has changed in the less than two years we've had the loan through them)And all of a sudden we needed to come up with $1000+ for "closing costs"Four times they asked us for these "closing costs" and each time when we pushed back we would get a call from a "Customer Solutions Specialist" who would tell us it was a mistake and we didn't owe thatThis final time they asked for the money I told them I wasn't paying itOur account representative sent me a document said the money was not for closing costs but for the rest of our property taxes for the year, even though the new loan would be through them and we already had an escrow account that we had been paying into and would continue to do so with this loan, and the document gave us a breakdown of the new loanreviewing the document I found that the amount that the loan was for was almost $MORE than what we currently owed on our mortgage dues to fees that were owed for the loan processI called the "Customer Solutions Specialist" and he told me that there was a mistake and we didn't have to pay off our property taxes because they were prepaid at the beginning of the year and the $fee was a mistake and we wouldn't owe thatI asked about the $in fees that we were not told about, and we were told from the beginning that there wouldn't be any fees, and I was told that it was the fee for the loan process and by doing this loan process that they were going to save me $10,I told him that this doesn't make much senseUsing their own amortization calculator on the Quicken site I inputted the numbers and it only showed me that I would be saving $in interest and that was with it taking into account that I always pay more than what my monthly payment is so I'm not sure where I am saving $10,by refinancing when they are lowering my interest rate by less than half a percent and then increasing the loan amount but more than $When I explained this to him he got an attitude with me and tried to force the issue and I told him to cancel the refinance request because I would not be signing or uploading any documents from now onHe told me he would if that's what I wanted and I said I did and he hung upI will never deal with this company againHopefully in the next years we will be moving to a bigger house to supports our growing family and we'll go through a real bank

This was such a positive experience for meFrom beginning to endMy daughter, followed after me and was just as happy with her experienceEveryone I dealt with was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendlyItAll happened so fast, I could hardly believe itThanks for everything

Went to Quicken to refinanceIf you like being told one thing verbally and they turn around and do something else then quicken is the one for youEspecially Shawn AltadonnaOver the phone he told me loan amount was 135,and that one of our bills would be paid off he made it sound all goodThen we get the loan disclosure and it states 138,and the bill he told me they would pay off is not even on thereNothing but liesNow after our appraisal was done our loan is now 142,they are nothing but liars especially Shawn Altadonna, I hate dishonest peopleThey have no conscience they will lie and tell you everything for that moneyI wish I never had to refinance and if I had to do it all over again I wish I had not refinanced with Quicken loans so thanks to quicken loans and for my mom screwing us overI would not recommend them to my worst enemySeriously!!!!! Dishonest and shame on you Shawn Altadonna
