I had tried for months to get a mortgage through our local bank and they kept tagging us along, so I online chatted Quicken Loan and my house loan was granted in weeks time, yep weeks from the first chat to the signing of my house papers at the lawyers office Quick and simple, hardly any paperwork was needed and were self employed Ill always recommend this company and my load will be through Quicken Loans
We have had our mortgage with Quicken Loans for about yearsThey contacted me and told me they had reviewed my loan and that it was a good time to refinance our loan When they did their calculations they said that we could get our Mortgage Premium Insurance removed and after further researched, they said they could take our Home equity loan and roll into our primary mortgage and lower our mortgage payment significantly (over $200)
We went back and forth providing them with the paperwork they neededThen they told us an appraiser had to come out and do a walkthrough During this time our area was hit with bad windstormOur fence got blown over and a lot of the shingles of our roof were blown off It was a pain to schedule time with the appraiser to come out On the appraisal the Appraiser noted the damages needed to be fixed
We worked hard with our insurance adjuster, roofer and fence subcontractors to get the repairs completed in a timely manner Quicken was calling us every other day over day period, telling us, we just need to have the repairs completed and that everything great and they were ready to schedule a closing
Once the repairs were done and after routing the our final invoices a couple of times to them, they stopped calling We followed up a few times A couple weeks later we get called from another QL person, who is a solutions specialist, he says he was asked to step in to expedite our loan to close
He informs us the loan could not be closed because they our Home equity line was not on the books for months I wasn't very happy with this decision and asked why hadn't the caught this sooner We had been working with them for almost days since they first contacted us I reiterated they had contacted us to refinance we did not contact them I asked what else could be done, they had been calling us almost daily for the last few months telling us that things looked great and they were just waiting for us to schedule closing Now almost months later they are saying this cannot be done
The situations gets worse, as the solution specialist, then says he will look into just refinancing our first mortgage to get the PMI removed and to lower our payments He contacts me days later and advises they cannot refinance our Primary either because of a short sale that was not on the books for years I said now wait a minute, why wasn't the Short sale an issue before when they offered us the two options initially!!...silenceWe had fully disclosed this upfront and were told it was far enough back and they had pulled a credit report on day
All Jake could say is how he could understand how I would be frustrated with the situation and to wait a few monthsFrustration doesn't even begin to describe my feeling Why would I want to go through this untimely process all over again Why contact us, give us two options, say everything is great for days, send an appraiser out, and then come back and retract both optionsWhy doesn't their screening process catch things in the beginning They called us every other day saying things are great, we can pull the trigger as soon as repairs are done
Quicken Loans wasted tons of my time in phone calls and emailsThey switch employees out so that no one can take the blame They did all this to just tell us they understand! I would not recommend this company to anyoneThey are not competent in running their business
Quicken Loans also had an Executive Complaints specialist call me Catherine informs me since we didn't make a good faith payment that she was limited in what she could doShe could just review the situation and then would review with executive teamI informed her that there was no request from QL to make any good faith pmt I asked that she get back to me and advise how this situation would not happen in the future She said she could not share what changes would be madebut, would contact me once she got to the bottom of it This does me no goodI asked her what if a satisfactory resolution is not reached do I contact her She said No, she was only to investigate and advise the Executive team I believe they involved another employee to just divert attention away from the real problem Again, Very dissatisfied with the way QL does business They say they understand but, it is just lip service
