Nothing but praise from the first person I dealt with to my closingVery knowledgeable and informativeWould recommend others to QL

They are greatQuick and easy, up front about all documentationI come from a lending background, and can tell you it is hard to find a company with this kind of integrity and client careThey were always in touch, and moved me through the process with easeSeveral different people worked on this with me and there was no holdup in the hand offCommunication was great, and customer service was as wellIn such a regulated industry, that is the only thing they can truly control, and they have mastered itWill refer to all friends and family!

WowWhere can I start? The fact that I fell into the Revdex.com rating and the positive reviews? That Quicken Loans seems to be a too-good-to-be-true company? That I am NOT the only with a story like this?
Well, my husband and I began the process with FHA and it led us to QuickenMy husband is unemployed due to some medical and personal issues, so I applied with just my name1st, Quicken had me to through their credit team to clean it upIt seemed pretty niceI managed to get my score up to where they needed it (with them hitting in times in the process)Strange, but okOnward to the application process!
I will not put down the name of the mortgage officer who helped (I want to keep this as anonymous as possible)But he seemed pretty good at 1stI mean, good ratings and everything, nothing below a starSo, I decided to stick with himHe called me on my cell, even though I told him to use the house phone 1st (cell service in my house is bad), and he called me at work, even though I told him my hoursI changed our scheduled calls many times with not much luck (I work, go to school and have an autistic child in a special school program, it's tough)
So, I begin the process of putting in paperwork (while he hit my credit more times, from beginning to end)Cool, everything is in and looks goodDuring which time, after we were pre-approved and submitted an offer (which was accepted), I was informed that my debt-to-income ratio was too high and I needed a co-signerBasically, they put in the wrong numbers, even though I read them off my W-and gross income many times, and they just noticed it when I submitted the paperwork
GREAT! We were franticI did manage to get (my brother) and the process began againNow, my brother works part time jobs and does school and an unpaid internshipHe had certain hours he could be contacted and requested it MANY MANY times to our mortgage officerHe did not listen, so that delayed the processWorse, he gave my brother paperwork request at a time, which also pushed things further out (e.ggive the pay stubs, then the W-2, etc.)Total miscommunication
Finally, here comes the straw that broke the camel's backFrom the beginning, my husband and I carefully put aside money, i.emattress fund, and had some funds leftover from my tax refundWe were informed that it was acceptable from the beginningTowards the end (beginning of this month), when we were about to sign the last of the paperwork for the appraisal (which was the day the seller needed a mortgage commitment date), our mortgage officer said that it was no longer acceptableWe needed verified funds from a bank account
Off we go again! We frantically asked people high and low for a giftMy mother-in-law was kind enough to give us the moneyProblem is, she also has it in cash from her rental upstairs, which, again, we were informed was okWe had to set up a date and drive across the state to get the money from her and get a bank checkThat hurt her and us due to gas, appointments and other commitments
Then, we were informed that we cannot use the moneyQuicken said all books from my mother-in-law could be doctored, so the funds cannot be verifiedSame thing with the money we saved, mostly from my husband's side work as a computer technicianWe were accused of fraud and told to go to someone else for a giftThere isn't anybody else with that kind of money except our elderly grandmothers, who are ill and in their eighties and need the money for their care
I found Quicken to be unprofessional, vindictive, uninformed and just plain badThey hit my credit so many times, stalled for weeks while the sellers wondered what we were doing and lost us a house in the processThe sellers gave our dream house to the next person waiting
And with an autistic child and an unfair eviction over our heads already, we had to find a temporary place before renting for another yearSo, I want to thank Quicken for the negative experience and for now putting us up with a sick relation for a few weeksNot only did you take away our dreams of owning a house, but we now have to wait another year to try again and we had to inconvenience this poor womanThis time, we are going with another company while I improve my credit once more
Oh, and PS: FHA loans CAN take cash as a down paymentI did ask the main officeJust so you are aware

I was trying to do VA loan with themI went through everything they wanted me to doI had pay for appraisal, roof inspection, repairs, pest inspection, and turn in paperI still didnt get the loan that I wanted year interests they told me based on my income I should be fine initially before startingIt all changed as I got in to the process in paying $deposit for the appraisal to they couldnt do that loanIt came down to year loan, interests, and including all my credit cardsNot what I agreed on and process went in daysI decided to not to go on the loanI get screwed with all what I spent and $suppose to get back after closingI would not recommend them

Best experience buying a houseProfessional and transparentThe online application used to manage the process was easy to use and intuitiveThe staff were very professional and knowledgeableCustomer service was always very promptIt felt like purchasing a house was truly a team effort with everybody pitching in to make it happen

I cant say enough about the experience we had with Quicken The process was painless, quick, and I cant imagine why I didnt refinance sooner I say high five, stars, and way to go Quicken Loan Team!!!!

Unhappy that Quicken Loans did not honor our contract We requested our property taxes to be paid by Decevery year out of our escrow account This year however they did not pay them They were going to pay them in October of 1918, which would make the taxes months overdue I was also told I could go and pay them myself Why did we set up and escrow account then???? Not happy with Quicken loans at all

I have nothing but good thisngs to say about Quicken Loans as everyone involved with my process was very curteous and helpful Great customer service

One of the best mortgage experiences ever Reps were competent and responsiveCommunication was timely and accurate The MyQL app is helpful and easy to use

Quicken loans was great and their app works well I would highly recommend Quicken Loans

I had to cancel the loan, due to numbers not being what they said they would beThe agent said to sign the security deposit but that we wouldn't run the deposit, ( I should have known better than to trust him) they withdrew the funds from the accountAfter the loan was withdrawn, they refused to give the good faith discount back in a timely fashionThey took the money quick but when it was time to give it back they sure do take their time Have requested escalations to get it back, and all I get is an automated response

Highly recommend Quicken LoansProcess for refinance was very quick and easyMost steps were done online Closing was completed at our house Everyone that we spoke with was very polite and helpful as well as knowledgeableWill absolutely use them for any future mortgage needs

My experience was good One of the things I liked was attention to detail and a seemed commitment to service my loanI'm not sure why but that sealed the deal for me I was sticking to Quicken Loan
I just received notice that the loan was sold to the Feds, Fannie Mae, the last company I wished to do business with
So much for words and assurances out of the mouths of sales folks I don't like *** Mae, I don't like banks and now I don't like Quicken Loan

Loan officer withheld information, and the senior researcher there backed him up for doing soIt's their company policy to just get you to apply Once I did, and started coming up against problems, the loan officer, who had been calling me 2+ times a day prior to me signing - stopped returning all calls!

I was very happy with the communication frequently so as to keep me up to date on what was happening nextEveryone was extremely helpful and politeI did not receive the amount of cash back I requested but that was the only downfall

I used Quicken Loan to purchase my home and to do a refinance I was looking to purchase another home with my sister and because I used QL before there were no concerns in reaching out to QL for options However, this time the rep ran my credit report when I specifically told her that I would wait on that until I spoke with my sister Unknowingly she had already ran my credit report when she "verified" me on the phone; I thought she was verifying me as a customerI already know my credit report and in fact I told her what my credit score was since I monitor and verify it weekly with a credit monitoring company I called with concerns about this and right away they tell me that she informed me when she didn't, but they won't let me listen to the call and instead tell me what I said I reported it and escalated the concern about the misleading information and questions the rep Ashley asked; however, Bianca "resolution specialist" and Dylan "team leader" were very dismissive and telling me that is "the position of QL" and that nothing else will be done and stating that they are the highest level I can take this concern to I did not think that QL would be so unethical and deceptive in practice and unwilling to listen to concerns but after reading similar comments I now know they do this to other people as well As a current customer, plus referring two friends to QL that used them to purchase their homes, I expected them to listen to actually listen and find a resolution Won't use or refer this company again!
