I want to share my experience with Quicken Loans I started the refinance of my home on December 22nd and was able to close on my refinance by January 19th The process was quick and very easy All of the people that I spoke with were very friendly and helpful If I could not find something they were there to help locate the form that was online They answered any and all questions within hours of me asking This has been the best experience I have ever had in dealing with mortgages
I used them to buy my last homeFrom start to finish it was the easiest processIf I had a question they were there to answer itI would recomend them to anyoneThough I worked with three different people during this process they were all very helpful
Everyone was very helpful
Especially with all the paper work
However it was a lot more involved in paperwork than anticipated
Especially the V.A loan part
Nonetheless they were always helpful and available
Just to sign that many papers will always make you wonder if one needs an attorney in their pocket you will always have questions that are beyond your expertise or profession
Difficulty understanding what I needed to doToo many different people to deal with and too much time running around town mailing ups things back and forth and sending checks to pay off bills when I had no idea where to send them
Quicken Loans did hard credit pulls on my name in May I authorized a credit pull in March when I went on a website for a pre-approval and they immediately contacted meI did not authorize the pulls in MayI submitted a letter requesting proof of May authorizationQL claims they did an investigation and reviewed phones calls and would not remove the hard pullsI requested proof such as transcript or recording and they stated QL would notI deem this highly unethical and DO NOT recommend anyone doing business with QUICKEN LOANS
The people were very nice and helpful at each stage, it was surprisingly simple and fast, even though I am not a computer user they walked me thru the process and responded quickly to any concerns I had, they were the epitome of user friendly
I refinanced my existing loan that I had with Quicken Loans because I had such a great experience with them in the past Everything that you see in their commercials on TV is exactly trueQuicken honors the commitment that they promiseI am in awe of the professionalism, service and integrity of everyone with whom I have come in contact with at Quicken LoansThey truly are amazing as promised!

Im not likely to recommend quicken in the futureThe interest rates were not better than anywhere else, it's very fast moving high pressure closing tactics, the do not make good on the financial promise (i.eGetting your $deposit back at closing when what they actually do is give you a loan for
More than the value of your mortgage and at like they're doing you a favor by sending you a check you have to pay interest on - also I was referred by a silver card friend and should have received $from quicken for that, I told them and they brushed it off like "we'll address that later...which never happened) the appraiser they used was very unprofessional, down right lied to me about repairs in my home and misstated my property size (under evaluated it by an acre- said it was .87, my back yard alone is over an acre)I spoke to no less than different people none of which was the person praising over my account/ loan and after almost daily calls leading up to the closing I have recieved zero calls after the close
The two benefits to me are the underwriter came to my house, and I can pay my bill onlineThey did state that they won't sell my loan which would be a positive but who knows it's true or not
Next time, I'll simply look locally so I have one person within driving distance to hold accountable
