My home refinance experience with Quicken Loans was absolutely the best I've had with any lender; I had two very bad experiences before approaching Quicken Loans They did what they said they could do, for my particular situation, from the very beginning My closing cost were minimal and I received a refund on my appraisal! Elliott May and his team are tops! I highly recommend QL Actually, I've done so already!!

It felt and looked a lot like bait and switch to meI get the feeling a lot of people take you Quicken banker's word for things without actually reading the documents they presentMy mortgage was sold to Quicken from another lender and after a few months, I got a call from Quicken asking if I wanted to refinance to remove my PMII have heard about these loans but have not researched themThe banker said, "no cost for closing and nothing added to the loan balance"When they presented the documents, there was a $cost to borrower listed on the estimateWhen questioned, the banker said that the system automatically does the numbers but didn't know that insurance/taxes were paidI hadn't given any money but did ask multiple times, "this isn't going to cost anything, right?" and "I can back out when I want, right"A care specialist emailed me to ask for more "to-do" documents and said that my escrow account would be liquidated, used to pay down the balance and that a new escrow account would be createdConsidering that the escrow pays my insurance and taxes and that it is funded over the year, I asked how that affected my escrow contributionsShe could not answerI also asked why the loan amount was higher than my current balanceShe could not answerWhen the banker called to answer these questions, he said that all is well, blah blah blah and asked if I had been burned by another mortgage company.........NoI am just not an it and you solicited me, not other way aroundThe numbers didn't line up as is and all of this was only to remove the PMI, a small savingsA new disclosure came out after our call that now had a loan amount higher than my current balance, money being used from my loan to pay closing costs and if what they said about using my escrow to pay the current loan balance..........would have added up to $again, just reflected as $out of pocketAt that point, I told them to cancel the processThey are super shady, period

AWFUL EXPERIENCE They DO NOT LISTEN to customers We were on a relocation program, so they assigned us a "relocation specialist," but in the end the numbers were all jumbled without sufficient detail for my relocation company to cover on reimbursement Did not listen to us when we explained the details of our situation, causing endless rewrites and countless delays For example they had to rewrite our closing agreement three times and still didn't get it right even after we pointed it out Then we told them not to rewrite it as closing was the next day Their lawyer showed up (late) with a new addendum even though they were expressly told not to Awful They are either too big to listen any longer or just too big to care Every time I hear Jay Farner claim they're engineered to amaze I'm insulted

I called to request a good faith estimate for the refinance of my investment propertyI said assuming excellent credit, low DTI, low ltv and sufficient income to cover the debt, what could they provide for APR and closing costsPretty simple IMOBoth the mortgage banker and customer service rep were not helpful and would not provide me with ruff numbers to move forward without a hard credit pullHow am I supposed to make an educated decision? Whatever happened to the customers always right? I work in the industry and can tell you these tactics are not good qualities for a successful company image or gaining a customer baseVery dissatisfied

I spoke to quicken loans today a Shelby Schwab and it was the worst experience in lifeThis person basically called me a liar and said that I was trying to commit mortgage fraud over the phoneFirst of all this person said she did not want to help me and could not help with getting pre-approved for a loan for a primary residence, after she told me I could not obtain a loan for an investment propertyShe was talking over me and very disrespectful and I took a tone with her that she deserved She said that I could not call back and get pre-approved because my first call asked about a loan for a investment propertyI told her that I wanted to sell my current home and buy another one, I asked if she could run my credit again for a primary residence loan but she told me that she wouldn't recommended because I would be committing fraudHow is that, if I want to sell my home I should be able to and I should also be able to change my mind if I did not want to buy an investment property Whats sad is that I had a bad experience with Quicken loans years ago and I tried to give it a second go round, I will never use them again and if I have to I will post bad reviews all over the internet everyday for the rest of their being

Refinance took longer than anticipatedThey requested same paperwork numerous times that had already been submitted via mail and fax.Dealt with more than one person which is what I believe was the confusion on paperwork

Our experience with Quicken Loans was positive from the beginning to the endThis is the second time we work with Quicken Loans and the process is easy and we never had any problems reaching our "guy" if we needed answersThe closing took place in the evening in our home so we didn't have to take time off from work or leave our houseWe have nothing but positive things to say about Quicken Loans

I was completely satisfied with Quicken LoansNick Gallivan worked my initial loan processing then the loan closing was turned over to Kim SheddGetting a home loan is a lengthy process with everything that is requiredBoth of these people went out of their way to keep me updated and always called me back promptlyI didn't experience any problems with QuickenThe process was much better than a local lender I used in the pastDon't believe the idea that a large out of area lender won't be responsive to your needs Quicken really is a super place to get a mortgage

The process was moving along excellent until the final documents were revealed and I saw the closing cost I put a stop on whole process But within a day I had every agent calling me, helping me, Not once, by anyone involved in this process was I spoken to with negative feedbackThey acknowledge my concern and passed my refinance to the solution dept I had a marvelous solution person help me find the answer I needed to have to continue the process I am very pleased to be doing business with Quicken Loans Closing was in my home at my convenience with a very personable notary from Amrock Only thing I need to point out is closing cost should be stated up front to refinances

Everyone was extremely helpfulSteve Everitt our initial contact was very knowledgeable and helpful just every step of the way

I did not have a positive experience this time around I had refinanced for a home equity loan and they asked me for duplicate documents, multiple times, kept delaying the process for requesting the same thing over and over and took more than 3months to refi a loan already held with quicken loans Then the clerk who was suppose to close did not show and did not call delaying more days In the end QL did come through but after I was really agitated and angry with them I almost stopped the process at the closing because of frustration I got a call from customer service rep is the only thing that made me reconsider

I feel Quicken went above and beyond to ensure a quick and smooth mortage process for my family

All of the agents at Quicken were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful I loved the online process - the website is very easy to navigate and made everything easy and FAST!

Great serviceVery fast and efficentPeople friendly and genuinely want to make your experience with them a good one

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Quicken Loans They made the process of buying a home and refinancing our home twice as easy as possible Great customer service and always available to answer questions I wouldn't use any other lender

I called to make a payment for July (August was also due bc I was behind) and would pay August in a few days The csr (said his name was Julian) asked me if I was living in the house and if it was being maintained? What? I just asked to make a payment so why are you asking me off and weird questions about my house? What does that have to do with me wanting to make a payment? I usually pay by checking account but decided to pay by Western Union this time but needed a code to go with the payment and he said Western Union was not an option for me since I owe months? Its 8/and Western Union is same day He refused to take my checking account payment unless I included August I spoke to his supervisor (Angela, she said) and she was more rude and aggressive and also refused the payment and asked why I am only paying July and if I had the money then I should just pay both months when I just said I would pay in a few days She also asked me if I planned on selling the house??? I did not entertain anymore invasive questions and asked to speak to her supervisor which she refused She said I had to answer financial questions for minutes about my income and debt for an analysis to see if they could set up a payment plan I never asked for a payment plan all I wanted to do was pay a month I hung up and used the automated system to pay July and it took the payment What a joke, worst customer service I have ever encountered period Why all the personal questions? Why not take a mortgage payment? Seems like they want you to get more behind so they can try and foreclose the property Why else would a mortgage company not want your payment?

Impressed with knowledge, efficient and was done in great timely manner Thanks Quicken Loans it was great working with you

The App was greatThey worked with me every step of the way I closed at the end of the year when loads of people were leaving for holiday Their team approach saved me so many headachesGreat business model

Wow I can't say enough......I was really, really, impressed by the service I got from Jason, at Quicken Loans (and his staff)
We had our home re-financed, and he helped me move the through the process and was able to help me secure a new home loan I got through the online application quickly and securely and they answered all my questions, as I was very nervous about refinancing and going through the whole "application process" on-line
But, my fears were quickly squashed as working with Jason, was very easy and I really liked Quicken Loan's constant communication with me, via e-mails
I have to say It was easy and amazing way to apply, and I am so relieved I called Quicken when I did
If you are waiting to get a loan, DON'T, ...These are the guys you want to work with
and MOST importantly, they don't rush you ..and they want to work with you to "service you" and help you with your loan, while fully DISCLOSING" everything they should
They are on top of their game Hey it's your "most important asset" so why not work wit the experts who have the most experience
