Review: I have been trying to contact someone regarding charges on my card for almost two weeks now! No one has ever gotten back to me! I've emailed support and called a [redacted] number, that was given to me by the front desk, and have left DOZENS of messages for a [redacted]! I canceled my membership back in May and yet I got a $60 charge to my account in June? No one has given me an answer as to why this happened? Why is Fit Evo making unauthorized charges to my account after I canceled my membership!? So disappointed over the run around I get when I call, I'm so this gym!Desired Settlement: Refund my $60 and cancel membership

Business

Response:

HI [redacted],I apologize that no one has gotten back to you. We show no record of cancellation request on the account. If you can please provide us proof of your cancellation request, we can issue a refund for any charges not valid. At this time, however, your account has been cancelled to avoid any further charges.

Review: I have did everything they said to do to cancel my membership MONTHS ago and they continue to charge me 5 times what my membership fee would be each month!! There is no customer service number to reach them and they ignore your emails and the personal trainers never call you back and the gyms are dirty. WORST company EVER.Desired Settlement: This business just needs to be shut down. I am not the first victim with this issue.

Business

Response:

The company shows no record of cancellation by the member. A balance has been accumulating on the account since January for the return payments. If the member can please provide proof of cancellation, we would happily waive balance that is owed on the account. All memberships require a 30 day notice via certified mail or in person in order to cancel, and the account must be in good standing.

Review: This company was opening up a new facility in Watsonville CA. Two weeks prior to April 1, 2015, they began selling memberships. Their big push was to purchase one year full membership in advance and get 3 additional months. They insisted they would open doors on April 1, 2015. They didn't open until March 22,2016. Throughout the whole process, they kept stating they would be opening soon and never gave a definite opening date. The music played throughout the facility is very inappropriate and extremely loud. The music being played was RAP with extremely inappropriate language. It is misogynistic, racially inappropriate, vulgar and anti police. I asked if the music would be changed and they said "they would do something about it." After 3 visits, no changes were made.Desired Settlement: After waiting for 1 full year to use the facility, not happy with the services being provided and would like a full refund for misrepresenting the terms of the contract. They did not change the music being played.

Hello,Our system shows that the member has already spoken to our member services department on 3/29/16. A refund form was sent directly to the member for $269. We are awaiting receipt of the form back from the member in order to issue the refund.

Review: I signed up for personal training for 1 month at half off for $220, I had just graduated from school and was looking for a job and I could barely afford it but with pressure from the staff I went ahead and agreed to sign up for the one month training because it was half off. I did the personal traing but did not get a chance to finish my last session becasue I cought a cold and was coughing pretty bad. I was always in contact with the personal trainer I was assigned to and she was aware that I found a job now and would not be renewing with personal training. Imagine my surprise when one week later in June I was charged $440 and was told that I signed up for electronic funds transfer and that I was not obligated to take personal training. The general manager I spoke to named [redacted] was very rude and stated I would not be getting a refund even though I did not agree to sign up for personal training session, then he said it take 30 days to get a refund and I would have to wait for that time and that he sent a message to corporate to try and fix this problem but he could not do anything for me. I went in every week to find out the status and spoke to [redacted] each time and he assured me the corporate is aware and would be contacting me shortly. I waited 30 days and then was told by [redacted] that I would not receive a refund and that I should not have signed up for electronic funds transfer. Electronic funds transfer does not mean they can go into my account when ever they want and remove money from my account. I tried to call the corporate number and left messages but it appeared to be someones cell phone number and no one ever called me back. I was financially devastated that month and had to borrow from family members just to make it through the month. [redacted] could not care less and just kept saying I shouldn't have signed up for electronic funds transfer.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for my $440 that was taken from my account under fraudulent conditions.

Business

Response:

Hello,The Personal Training agreement was forwarded to the member's email on file. The agreement shows it is a month to month agreement and requires 30 day notice to cancel. As a courtesy, and since we show that no sessions have been used, I have attached a refund form for $440. Please fill it out and return it with your Revdex.com response and we will get it processed. Thank you very much.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: I am new to the area and have recently tried out Fitness Evolution. I am so used to gym employees and managers being friendly and customer service oriented. I get the fact that they can't hold my keys at the front desk. (Even though the others let me do it - get on the same page people). But to have a customer be told no to that and then the manager escalating it further by tracking me down and telling me I was disrespecting his employee because I was unhappy was out of line. He should be there to diffuse a situation not stir the pot. Needless to say it did not stop there. This manager would follow me around the gym and apparently noticed I did not wipe off a couple of machines I was using...Because I wasn't working up a sweat. (I clean the ones that need to be cleaned)But for him to be so confrontational like that really upset me. Any how, when he was not there I asked the nice front desk girl if she could find a way to get me a little plastic card to scan in instead of having to deal with the cop aka manager he saw me and walked up to me and confronted me about how giving me a card would be a waste of product!! Between him stalking me in the gym and telling me he'd be wasting product on a PAYING CUSTOMER was OFFENSIVE! I know it's not that much money, but I paid for a full month and only got 2 weeks worth in. He told me if I didn't want to wash every machine off then I should go to another gym. At which point I left very angry.

Who hired this guy? Why doesn't he get so confrontational and defensive when he should be there to make the customer happy - yes even when they are upset! This happened several days ago and I'm still appalled that actually happened. Get this guy out ASAP. He is a phony.Desired Settlement: It's like $15 total for the full month. I used the first 2 weeks (which were completely miserable) I want the company to know what a fake this guy is. This is a new gym, but eventually this guys true colors will show to others. Just wait. I feel sorry for the people he has to work beneath him!

Business

Response:

We are very sorry for your frustration and your experience at our gym. I am unable, however, to find your membership in our records. I understand from your email that you paid for a month. If you are looking to cancel your membership, I will need to get from you the club you signed up at and/or your membership number. Perhaps it is under another name and that is why I am unable to locate it.

Review: My son is autistic and couldn't get him in and they don't want to cancel memberships even though I signed up and never went and they say I owe them money for not attending the gym and states they tried several times contacting me. Everytime they wanted money no customer service or chance to go ahead cancel altogether.Desired Settlement: Take off that $239 collection agency.

Business

Response:

Hello,Our notes indicate that the member was aware of the balance. Voicemails were left and she spoke to staff regarding the balance. The memberships are not based off of usage and are not cancelled or refunded because a member did not use the club. We would like to work with this member and settle the account for $44.97 (3 months worth of dues) instead of $239, and remove from collections.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:I don't agree I owe anything for not even going. Not recommending the gym for anyone. I wish they were more customer friendly and shouldn't treat mother's with a special needs child different. My son couldn't go because he has Autism. Thanks again.

Review: When I signed up with the gym in January of 2016, I was told of a great deal that if I buy a year membership, I would only pay $199 and that I could cancel at anytime. On April 11th, I went in to cancel and the manager canceled with a click of a button and that was it. He said I could still use the gym until May 11th. I didn't get my refund to my credit card so I went back in on May 2nd and he said I couldn't get a refund because I bought the year membership. That was the first I heard. If I would have known up front that I couldn't get a refund, I would have never signed up. I called the regional office on May 2nd, left a message, and didn't hear back from [redacted]. I called again on May 4th and spoke to her which she told me that I signed the contract and there was nothing they could do and that they are not liable for the actions of the staff at the gym. I spoke to her supervisor who repeated the same thing.Desired Settlement: I just want a refund ($116) as I was misled by when I signed up. Fitness Evolution is responsible for the action of their staff.

Business

Response:

[redacted]With our paid in full memberships we are not able to refund any unused time if a member is requesting to terminate the membership. I do apologize but the information that was received to terminate the membership applies to our month to month memberships that do have a 30 day notice to cancel. What we are able to do is transfer the membership to someone and they will be able to use our facilities through the end of the year that is set to expire on 1/4/2017. To make the transfer you may go into your local facility and have the member provide a valid id and we are able to make the change.

Review: On May 19, 2016 I signed a contract with Fitness Evolution, represented by [redacted]. The contract was for a 6 month term of 4 sessions per month. At the time, I did not realize that I was signing a contract and I assumed I was paying for one month. I did not receive a copy of the contract that day. Later the same day, I called and spoke to [redacted] and requested to cancel the contract. I was told that I would not be able to cancel the contract, but I could shorten it to three months which whould result in higher payments.

The manager on duty at the time also stated that I would be unable to cancel the contract, and would only be able to lower the term period.Desired Settlement: I would like the contract cancelled. With no further charges.

Business

Response:

Hello,The total contract value is $1440 which gives the member the right to cancel the contract within 5 days. I have attached the membership agreement which the member signed on 5/20. We do not show any records of a request to cancel this until 6/9, as attached letter states. The signed agreement states that the agreement is for a term of 6 months. We will set the contract to end at the end of that time frame, so it will not roll over past the 6 months. If the member would like to request a freeze, we can push back the contract as a courtesy.

Review: Redeemed on June 17, 2014 a 6-month FREE membership from local school auction obtained from a local Parent-Teacher Association. Was told it was a 6-month credit towards membership, so personal bank information was required for continued membership after that period. Was also told that a $39.99 charge would appear on my August bank statement that was part of a "price-lock" guarantee to the end of the 6 months. Was also first told would receive an email 1 month prior to the end of the 6 months but was later told cancellation had to be made in person on November 1, 2014. I explained to [redacted], Manager at the [redacted] location, that this was NOT a FREE membership due to the $39.99 charge. If I did not cancel this membership on November 1, 22014, my bank account would automatically be charged a $29.00 Membership Fee. I was not given a receipt nor any documentation of any of the terms of this membership. In additional there was no fine print on the card to indicate any additional fees associated with this redemption.Desired Settlement: Claim resolved by Fitness Evolution by waiving the Price-Lock and Membership Fee.

Business

Response:

the Revdex.com spoke with the business and [redacted] from the business. He stated that the 6 month free member is really a credit for 6 months and the $39.99 is a fee charged to price lock since they have no contracts. This was not listed on the coupon but he explained that to the customer after the coupon was received. He is willing to refund that amount either by phone or by coming into the business.

Review: I sign up for fitness evolution back in 2011 when they were undergoing renovation in a building that a former gym use to be, there gym had not open and according to them, they were to be opening within 90 days, after about 6 months, I went into the building and they were still undergoing construction and were not sure but was not giving a define date, I inform them during that time, that I had join another gym, [redacted] and I was not waiting for them to open and to cancel my subscription within their gym, when I came in everything was done on the computer, the agreement was not given to me and the credit care that I used to sign up for the withdrawal of payment, I had it cancelled, so whenever they gym did open, I would not be billed. I wanted the fax number I could send my letter of cancellation to since the gym was taking longer than expected, they told me they didn't have one for those type of inquires, so I just sent them a not of cancellation to their gym in the mail, I asked for a forwarding correspondence and I was told they had none and the information I was given to them, suffice. I went on to join [redacted] and of course had no contract and no guarantee, I could cancel whenever I wanted, kind of what Fitness Evolution lead me to believe at the time., so it was shocking to me when I received a bill that I owe them over $500.00 dollars. I have since them gone back to tell them to cancel, I wrote them a letter to cancel and I am not interested in the gym anymore. After leaving [redacted], I went on to join back the [redacted] for close to 1 year and then I cancelled out on my membership.I don't understand why Fitness Evolution continues to inform me that they have cancelled my membership, but still claims me to owe them money, I have never been to gym and I have cancelled on various attempt and they have informed me that this has already taken place, but yet continues to bill me, I did not sign any yearly agreement or contract with them and do not understand their stress factor.Desired Settlement: They refuse to stop charging me, now they have started sending me email, claiming that I owe them, I don't owe them, never been to the gym but to cancel and they inform me they were taking care of it, I even wrote them, they have insisting been making it hard to cancel, in spite of their assuring me by their staff that it would be cancelled. Just wanting this gym to cancel whatever membership they claim they have, I have never worked out, and need them to stop billing me.

Review: My brother had opened a family membership with the company where he was the only person that given his payment information for the plans. He had several problems with over payments so he cancelled the plan. I have now received a bill from this company when my brother was the payee. When I called on 2/22/2014 and spoke to [redacted] that was the manager to explain that my brother was the payee and I never gave any banking information. I am now receiving bills for me and my daughter when my brother was the only one that gave his banking information. Every person you talk to give you a different information. This day [redacted] kept contradicting himself and stated that my brother only cancelled his information, my account was in collection, and my daughters was being paid but unknown by who because they have no one's banking information on file. This company seems like they are ripping people off and getting away with it. We later read an article onlinea at complaint.com stating that this company is doing the same thing in the states that they are open in.Desired Settlement: This company is ripping people off and need to looked into, closed, and refused a business license.

Business

Response:

I spoke with [redacted] from the business. He states that they do not offer a family plan, and each member signs their own contract and provides banking information. In this case three contracts were signed, three memberships were opened, but only one bank account information was provided. That bank account was the same on all three contracts. When the Brother (whose back account all three memberships pulled their dues from) canceled his account it cleared his banking information from their system. However, that means the two other memberships no long had a bank account to draft dues from and that is why bills began to be sent out to the consumer. Cancellations have to be done in writing, whether that is certified letter mailed or a letter hand delivered to the fitness center. At this point after 6 or 7 months the remaining two contacts have been closed and sent to collects.

Regards,

Good Morning [redacted],

Review: I stopped attended Fitness evolution nearly a year ago. In that time I have sent letters, emails and even visited the location three times, the first time dropping off my pass and filling out forms to cancel my membership. In that time I have not had my membership cancelled and keep getting billed for services I am not using.

One email from Nik R[redacted] states in regards to canceling services:

"Hi [redacted] thanks for your email. I will get this resolved ASAP. I'll contact you later today with the details.

Healthy regards,

Nik R[redacted]

General Manager"

Which never got a response.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of nearly a years services I have not used and I would like to stop being billed.

Business

Response:

Revdex.com spoke with a representative of the business who stated that they are no longer Fitness Evolution and in April of this year, bought the location along with the contracts and became Crunch Evolution. As they purchased contracts of the current members, they do have the account history for this customer and they are unable to find any cancellation form on file. In the customer's records, the business confirmed that the last check in for the customer was January 2015. They also stated that the manager mentioned in the complaint does not work at this particular location, and is actually at a location in Sterling, Virginia, and this location is not aware of any previous attempts to cancel the membership. The business stated that the account has been cancelled, and that they are willing to offer a refund for the months that his account was a Crunch Evolution account in the amount of $99.95.

Regards,

Review: On July 10, 2015 at 8:50am I received a phone call from collections regarding a gym membership that I have never signed up for. During this phone call I was told that I owed a couple hundred dollars for this account and I had until July 15th to take care of this matter or my name and account information will be processed into collections. The following day I visited this gym and asked them to show me the document stating I had signed up there. The membership manager showed me the document and the document isn't even signed, it has initials of mine but not in my handwriting. It is a forged document and now I am being held responsible for it. The only thing the membership manager said she could do for me is give me corporates number and they will take it from there. That was on a Saturday, the following Monday when she said corporate will be back for normal business hours I tried calling, no answer. I left a voice mail, no call back. I also had my mom call while I was at work and she got no answer and she also left a voice mail. For a week straight we both call and left numerous voice mails to get this fixed and dealt with. I spoke with collections again on the 15th of July and she said there was nothing she could do and that the account was going to be processed. I have never received a phone call or letters in the mail from this gym letting me know about this fake account. If I would have known about this I would have taken care of it way before it reached collections. It is now July 21st and the corporate office has yet to call me back.Desired Settlement: I do not want this gym membership account. I never signed up for this account. I want all the charges to be reversed that reflected this account to be sent into collections. Nothing was taken out of my account directly because again this is fraud and no one has my bank account information. I do not want this fraudulent account to reflect MY credit.

Business

Response:

Member has agreement on file with initials. Because we have member's sign agreements electronically, we take initials OR signature. We have attached correspondence from the company to the member since the membership was started as of 9/16, as well as transaction history showing the initial payment of $1 made by the member. We will be unable to remove from collections due to the charges being valid on the account. The phone number member has provided for complaint is the same as what we have on file for membership, proving that all correspondence was sent directly to member.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: I would like proof that that initial payment was made by me. I have no debit/credit card ending in those digits. The attachment you have provided me states no way whats so ever that I was ever contacted by your company in regards to any past due balance. Yes, the number I have provided is the same as you have on file but I was never notified of this account or had any mail sent to me. Please provide me with documents of your company contacting me. I am giving you until the end of August to correct this mistake with collections or I will have no other choice but to take this to court.

Business

Response:

Hello, The initial $1 payment was cash, I have attached the receipt. I also included a copy of the correspondence from thecompany to the member regarding account status. Calls were placed to the phone number on file.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: As I have mentioned in my previous complaint, THIS IS FRAUD!! I will not be held responsible for this. I have never been a member and will never be a member at this gym. The documents you attracted, the receipt, has an address from Fair Oaks, CA. I am not from there nor have I ever been there. In a previous document you sent me it has the last 4 digits of a card number and now you are saying it was paid in cash. The other attached document that says "my account" is past due has only one person's name stating they called and a few text messages timed at 12:00AM!! My fake account that is now in collections and I supposably only received ONE phone call for it?? What this is showing me is that your company has poor communications with their "members" with any problems going on with their account. If I would have known about this fake account by being notified or any letters in the mail it would have been closed, immediately. How can such a company as yourself hold someone responsible for a fraud account?? You are not even trying to work with me on this issue. I need my information taken out of collections immediately. I have still not received any phone call back from your corporate office. You have such poor communication.

Review: Failure to disclose renewal practices and lack of communication with consumers

Starting in 2010, I signed up for then [redacted] Fitness. The terms of annual renewal were not disclosed to me when I first signed up. [redacted] automatically does this. I cancelled in 2011, rejoined again in 2012 for the offer of one-year for $99. Again, no information regarding my old membership or its annual renewal was not shared. In 2013, I paid again for the one-year with the increased amount of $120. Simply paying in person began the process of [redacted]'s membership services discrepancies of assigning renewed and new memberships. Everytime I went to the gym, I was stopped for "lack of payment." I had to bring my receipt in everytime as proof. This was finally resolved with the manager at the time finishing the appropriate paperwork, when I knew I wasn't getting anywhere with [redacted]'s corporate member services. I decided to never go back to this gym. Recently, [redacted] was purchased from Fitness Evolution. I started getting calls from Fitness Evolution about past due amounts. I have no contract with this company, but [redacted]'s memberships were transferred to this new company, a practice that I am not alone in. When I spoke to the general manager at this location (whom also is quite lacking in professionalism), he informed me that the annual renewal fee was set when I first signed in 2010.Desired Settlement: It seems that if you are running a company and advertising low prices to get customers through your door, then you must abide by those practices. The failure of this company to share with new members, "a renewal fee will occur once a year" clouds the fact that you're not getting a good deal. It is purely by principle that I will not be paying for a gym membership at Fitness Evolution, a gym I have no contract with. And even more important, if a company is bought by another company, the fact that

Business

Response:

With the purchase of the [redacted]’s facilities, that included any current agreements they had on file were automatically transferred to us per that purchase. We will give this member a courtesy and remove the balance from collections, though her contract was transferred to us through the purchase of that facility. The fact that we don’t disclose a renewal fee with our new members is an inaccurate fact, because we don’t do re-occuring paid in fulls through Fitness Evolution. Her membership contract for that paid in full was set up with that once a year auto-draft renewal through [redacted]’s Total Fitness.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: The Fitness Center was to "Cancel" my College Son's summer membership (3 months). The employee who handled this is no longer employed there. We were unaware of the account being put in a status that caused them to bill us in January through the bank account for an annual fee, plus each month now it's been billing us MONTHLY FEES $9.99 and STATEMENT FEE $10.00 (19.99) since then. I have worked with the Manager [redacted], and [redacted] to take care of this. I was told that Corporate would contact me by phone and as of 3 weeks now NO ONE has called. I got the March billing ($19.99) and I went back in to the gym and was told they could only take off $20 by [redacted] and that the billing would continue until it's all paid. This is outrageous. It was their employees fault that she didn't cancel my son's summer membership the correct way and now I am left dealing with this. Please help in any way, we would appreciate your intervention. This is not right that we are dealing with the mistakes of their former employees.Desired Settlement: I want them to make this right! The account was supposed to be cancelled. They knew it was a summer member ship and we paid each month. They knew when he got the summer membership that he was a College student because that's what we asked for. They need to cancel his membership the correct way and reverse all the fees.I will fight this until I can't fight any more. Right is right and wrong is wrong. You don't treat your customers like this. We've been members before the walls. 13 yrs.

Business

Response:

Unfortunately since the son is not a minor we cannot provide any information regarding this account. Thank you

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. I am [redacted] a College Student away at school. I will handle this if I have to, however, I have given my mother, [redacted] permission to take of this for me. We are going to fight this to the end. It is wrong and this company needs to stand for what is right. This is a matter of their Manager, [redacted] at the time, who is no longer there shoud have to "Cancel" the Summer membership which we paid cash for, but instead unknown to me or my mother she "Froze" it. I do not work for the company and did and lived up to my agreement. They knew as each summer I get a summer membership, pay cash and cancel at the end of summer before I go back to school. This year THEIR EMPLOYEE chose to enter the "Cancellation" as she did, and not Cancel but Froze. Why? I don't even know what that is. That is not our issue it is on their end and THEIR employee should be held accountable for this NOT ME. My moms account was billed in January for renewal and she nor I had no idea who or what this was.

This is so wrong on every level and this company should stand for what is right and do the right thing than put us though this. My parents have been members their since before the building was built. How can you treat your loyal clients this way. Do they not care about their reputation. Please handle this, otherwise well actually my parents are handling this further. We don't have time for such bad business ethics. Do the right thing. This is the email to reach me at. My mother is more than able to deal with this nonsense. I am trying to better myself by getting an education and to have to deal with this type of harassment is abhorring.

Sincerely,

Review: My husband and I have submitted cancellation letters that meet the parameters of our contract. No one will confirm that they were received. We submitted our cancellation letters via Certified Mail, as required by our contract. They were received on August 4th. (tracking number [redacted]) I contacted the Concord branch on September 3rd to ensure the cancellation letters were received, but have gotten no response. We are trying to confirm that our cancellations have been received and that no further charges will be made on our accounts. We are concerned because there are so many complaints to the Revdex.com from people who have had issues with cancellation. Our accounts are both in good standing and we have done everything in line with the contract; unfortunately, Fitness Evolution is ignoring our requests for a confirmation. Therefore, we will be closing the checking accounts associated with our membership and want to have proof of our attempts to resolve this in a manner that is respectful to all parties involved, just in case Fitness Evolution decides to send our accounts into collection and claim that we did not cancel properly.Desired Settlement: Per the contract we signed, we would like to stop paying membership dues for our cancelled accounts.

Business

Response:

I do apologize for the delayed response. The membership has been terminated effective the end of August and no further charges will be on the account.

Review: I received an advertisement in the mail about a new gym opening in my area. On March 21, 2014, a friend of mine and I went to check out the new gym called Fitness Evolution, located on Alhambra in Martinez, CA. I was told that it was required to sign a document to view the gym for liability issues. I initialed their document in 2 places. In September 2014, I received a collection notice in the mail in the amount of $113.00. I never attended their gym. Their own records indicate that my only visit to their facility was on March 21, 2014.I went to the gym to discuss this matter with the onsite manager, who by the way was the person who had me initial the original document. I was told she would take 35% off my bill and call it even. I told her that was not acceptable, that they falsified documents with my initials. I then asked to speak with the manager and I was referred to their corporate office in Stockton. The only way to communicate with them was via e-mail. I e-mailed my concerns that this transaction was not legal, I had never attended their gym, and I never gave them my banking information as requested per their document.I believe this business is taking advantage of people and I would like this type of action to stop.I have perfect credit, with the exception of this action. Why would I join a gym and never attend.I was a member and still a member at 24 hour at the time of this action. I have records that indicate that I have monthly withdrawals from my bank account and my attendance record at the gym is 4-5 times each week.Fitness Evolution is running a scam and should be stopped.Thank you for your time and consideration.Regards,[redacted], [redacted]Desired Settlement: I want my credit restored. I am not liable for this action against me.

Review: I contacted fitness evolution that I'd like to close my account. They told me I had to come in so I did. I talked to the manager in charge of closing and presumed to pay my fee and signed the paperwork. I was told that from that point on I would no longer be allowed to workout in they're facilities. months later my sister received a phone number which I'm still not sure how they got saying I still owed them for membership. I called them immediately and questioned them. they told me I never closed the account and that it never happened. I asked for the manager that I talked to to call me back. he never did and I'd like this resolved before my credit is affected. thank you.Desired Settlement: I would like them to cancel my account and to stop billing me for services not rendered.

Review: I contracted RINGWORM from the manager-admitted unclean gym equipment. Manager [redacted] admitted employees were not cleaning the equipment at night.

THIS PLACE IS AWFUL!! I contracted RINGWORM from this gym!!!! The manager, [redacted], apologized and told us the membership would be canceled immediately. He also assured us that the evening employee that he found out was NOT PROPERLY CLEANING THE EQUIPMENT was fired immediately. I initially signed up for the free trial, called twice the next month, and went in once to sign cancellation paperwork, WHICH I did, and we received a monthly charge a month later!

I went BACK IN and signed cancellation paperwork AGAIN. (By this time it's been two and a half months since I contracted ringworm from their facility, and one month after he already cancelled the 'membership'. I signed the paper work for the second time, and I speak with the manager, [redacted], who assures me that he will contact corporate and contact me immediately. We never heard from him again.

So TODAY, December 17th, we receive another monthly charge AND and annual fee. So that's $14.99 for November, and $53.99 for December... When we cancelled a TRIAL membership in October.

My wife just spoke with the manager [redacted], again, and he tells me now that the employee responsible for the ringworm was not let go, that he believes all of the charges are completely valid, and that there is no way we can prove that I contracted ringworm from the ONLY GYM HE WAS ATTENDING. (And newly, at that!). He tells her that he will contact corporate in regard to a refund, since he can not process any refunds in-house, and he will contact her back immediately.

YEA RIGHT, let me hold my breath. There was originally no doubt that this is where I contracted ringworm. However, after now reading another yelp review about how dirty this place is, (from another reviewer), I feel it's necessary to warn others!

Avoid this place like it has the plague. . . After all, it DOES have RINGWORM BACTERIA.

I'll be contacting the Revdex.com, The Department of Health, the local news, YELP, Google reviews, Facebook, Twitter, and anyone else I can.Desired Settlement: A full refund of any monies illegally removed from my bank account. One charge of $14.99 on November 18, 2013, and one charge of $53.99 on December 17, 2013.
