Fiverr, Inc. Reviews (603)

We have reviewed the complaint sent in by [redacted]. The account in question has been disabled due to suspected fraudulent activity. Purchases were made to himself from additional accounts, possibly with stolen credit card information, which was then flagged by our Risk Management team for further...

investigation. Before releasing any funds we need to verify that no third party is being harmed and no law was breached. Additionally, [redacted] has falsified his registration information by claiming to be a US resident while actually residing in India, thus requiring further scrutiny in his claim to the funds and the legitimacy of the purchases made. We will contact [redacted] regarding the status of the investigation and when he can learn when he can withdraw, if eligible, any legitimately earned revenue.

They have actually solved the issue and released my funds so I can close the ticket now. BUT this is still not good practice for a company, so they should receive a warning of some sorts.  Thanks.

We have reviewed the complaint opened by [redacted]. It appears that [redacted] opened up a ticket request #[redacted], regarding this issue. [redacted], did not...

contact our Support team in time for the cancellation, as mentioned in our Terms of Service, "Order cancellations (when eligible) can be performed by Customer Support only up to a period of 13 days from order completion date." [redacted]'s orders were marked completed back in December on the [redacted] and [redacted]. Our Support team has followed up with [redacted] in her ticket #[redacted] and we were able to refund the funds back to her in time. If [redacted] has any additional questions, she's welcome to follow up with Support. Thanks.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.
Fiverr flagged my 3rd account for spamming. This time, I didn't use a link to [redacted]; I attached a .zip to the message. I have given up hope on Fiverr and recommend those reading this try [redacted]. It is half Fiverr and half Upwork. It was recommended to me by a friend and I am really enjoying my experience with them.
Try [redacted] today! You'll like it!
Sincerely,
[redacted]

We have reviewed the complaint sent in by [redacted]. Unfortunately his desired outcome can not be reached due to the fact that his services on Fiverr was reported by [redacted] to be removed. This complaint is a standard Copyright removal request as [redacted] was attempting to resell the content he...

downloaded off of [redacted] which violates their Terms of Service (under Protection of Content) [redacted]. Gigs that violate third party Copyrights are not allowed on Fiverr and swiftly removed following a [redacted] notice, as stated in our Terms of Service https://www.fiverr.com/terms_of_service. [redacted] may submit a new Gig and service type that doesn't violate our or any other third parties Terms of Service.

We have reviewed the complaint opened by [redacted]. After further review, the payment of $5.50 has been refunded back to [redacted]'s [redacted] account on May [redacted] 2015. Our Customer Support team has followed up with her in the following ticket #[redacted]. As a reminder, our Terms of Service states...

that Fiverr does not refund payments directly to the payment source after an order is cancelled. Funds from order cancellations are returned to the buyer's balance as credit and are available for future purchases on Fiverr.

We have reviewed the complaint by [redacted]. After reviewing [redacted] ticket request #[redacted], at this time [redacted] order has been cancelled and the funds are now available in their shopping balance. If [redacted] has any other questions about the funds, he's welcome to...

follow up in his ticket request #[redacted].

We have been in touch with [redacted] regarding his experience on Fiverr through our Customer Support channels. The original concern was an issue experienced with another user on Fiverr that required him to connect to our Customer Support team. In doing so, [redacted]'s request was...

fulfilled by cancelling his order and returning the funds back to his account balance. As stated in our Terms of Service, funds from a cancelled order are returned to the buyers account for future purchases on Fiverr. In the event of a buying experience that requires a full deposit refund back to a buyers payment provider, our Customer Support team can arrange a refund as an exception to our Terms of Service within the limitations of our payment providers guidelines. Unfortunately, [redacted] has disputed his payment transaction with his payment provider which does not allow Fiverr to offer any form of a refund through the appropriate channels. We have reached out to [redacted] in the Customer Support request he created regarding this incident and we are awaiting a response from him in the same request. We have reached out again to explain the incident and what is needed on his behalf for Fiverr to fulfill the refund.

We have reviewed the complaint made by [redacted]. [redacted]'s ticket request #[redacted] was followed up with, informing her that her payment was fully refunded back to her payment source. If [redacted] has any other questions, she's welcome to follow up with us in her ticket request #[redacted].

We have reviewed the complaint open by [redacted]. Unfortunately, [redacted] has violated our Terms of Service, by false delivering his orders to his buyers. As clearly mentioned in our Terms of Service, Using the Deliver Work button may not be abused by sellers to circumvent Order...

guidelines described in this Terms of Service. Using the “Deliver Work” button when an order was not fulfilled may result in a cancellation of that order after review, affect the seller’s rating and result in a warning to seller. [redacted] was warned 2 times regarding this issue and they failed to acknowledge these warnings and continued false delivering his order. [redacted] was able to withdraw his remaining funds from his account on September [redacted] 2015 in their tickets #[redacted] Due to this violation, [redacted] account will not be restored.

We've reviewed the response opened by [redacted]. The orders she has placed from her account originate from [redacted] and were placed from late 2013 to May of this year. This far exceeds the allowed time period of 45 days [redacted] allows for payments to be refunded back to [redacted], which unfortunately can not satisfy her desired outcome due to the elapsed time from her original purchase dates to the time she has requested such refunds. To reiterate our Terms of Service, refunds are made through a users shopping balance which requires those funds to be in their current shopping balance. [redacted] has acknowledged that her current shopping balance is zero. The $2 remaining in her balance originates from sales she has completed as a seller. In order for the remaining funds to be added to her shopping balance she will then require Fiverr to cancel her completed orders in the amount of $40. This action can not be taken by Fiverr because she is now requesting Fiverr to cancel successfully completed orders, which were completed to her satisfaction 6-10 months ago, in order to be refunded for non-specific complaints found in her original complaint and response.

Our Customer Support team has followed up with [redacted] in his ticket request #[redacted]. If [redacted] has any additional questions, we will be happy to assist.

My FIVERR Seller a/c get suspended a few days ago. My Fiverr, a/c username, is - seoxpert18.
I don't understand what wrong thing happen or why my a/c getting suspended, Cuse before Suspension I do not receive any kind of Waring message. Fiverr Customer support takes the decision and without warning me Suspend my account permanently. I don't understand the reason of Termination. Even when I was asked the customer support, they don't describe my reason of termination clearly. Here is my Ticket ID- 1733381.

Whenever I ask for 2nd time they give a warning like this -
"
Unfortunately this account has been permanently deactivated due to violations of the Terms of Service and can no longer be restored. Please contact us again after 90 days, which is March 2nd, to inquire about any remaining revenue on the account. Contact before that date may be met with a similar answer or treated as spam
"
Is this Called Support? We pay Our 20% of income to them for using their service, but they do not like to answer our question, even not like to hear & discuss our issue. Without hearing from, me they mark my ticket is resolved.

I'm very disappointed for receiving this kind of Support from them, and I think no one like this kind of assistance. They must answer our questions and after providing information completely then need to mark the ticket resolved.

I'm selling an SEO tool account info service there. And before start selling, I notice many people do sell the same service there. That's the reason to Choosing the service. If the service violates their t&c, then they need to give me at least 1 warning before the permanent suspension. This type of GIG listed on FIVER and many people provide the same service. That's why I choose the service. Even I don't understand, which is the actual reason for termination? Cause Fiverr customer support not Explain.

If I made a mistake, Give me at least 1 warning before taking strong action, then I can understand my fault. But they do not give any Warning, not described Reason of Suspension Clearly. I need justice. If I did any wrong there, hope consider to as my 1 st mistake and allow me to access my account. After knowing the reason for the suspension, I promise that I will never do the same mistake.

Review: I had initiated a set of "gigs" from a seller on this website. Said "gigs" involved web development for which I had no background in but my fellow developer did. I used this seller to do what was to be a basic exercise and upon delivery of his work product to my developer who required it for his use, he informs me that the "coding" is terrible. I proceeded to contact the seller for modifications but was ignored. I proceeded to request a full refund of all the prior earnings as his work was unusable, but was ignored. I contacted Fiverr customer service by email but was told to contact the seller again and wait 3 days...for what, I have no clue. I contacted Fiverr customer service again and after some initial back and forth, their "line" went radio silent...this despite my pleas that if anymore time is wasted on inaction, the seller's funds (MY money) would be released to him per their payment arrangement.

P.S. My account name on Fiverr is "[redacted]".Desired Settlement: Full refund of all "gigs" awarded to this fraudulent seller by me.

People shouldn't have to file a Revdex.com complaint to get a response from a "startup".

Review: I have a $35 credit with Fiverr that I simply want returned to me. I had signed up with Fiverr to find someone to create a promotional flyer for my business. I first solicited the help of one vendor named "bingbanners" who were listed as a "top-rated seller". They promised to have it done in 24 hours for $5. I paid the $5 through [redacted], submitted the necessary instructions for my job, and the next day found out that the vendor refused the job and wanted to refund my money. Next I found another "top-rated seller" by the screen name of "[redacted]", who offered a 48-hour turnaround, this time for $30. I paid the $30 with my business bank account's Visa debit card (for some reason my $5 credit from the previously canceled transaction was not put toward the next sale). Once again, the seller cancelled the transaction, I was offered a credit to spend on Fiverr, which I do not want after two time-wasting experiences with their vendors. I want my money back in my accounts. I have now made two attempts to open a service ticket with their customer service department, both of which have gone unanswered (customer support ticket #[redacted] and ticket #[redacted]).Desired Settlement: I want my money back. I do not want credit with Fiverr for more unreliable "gigs". Please refund my money to my [redacted] and Visa debit card,

Response:
We have reviewed [redacted]'s complaint with our Customer Support team. We are sad to hear of his experience and determined to assist him with the refunds requested, additionally working with [redacted] on how to improve his experience on Fiverr. We are reviewing the sellers he has purchased from, unfortunately we will not be able to share the results due to our Privacy Policy. We will follow up with [redacted] in the Customer Support tickets he has opened, and as we pointed out, it may take some time to review his ticket due to the high volume of Customer Support requests.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Having said that, I find it interesting that in the less-than two months that Fiverr has been listed with the Revdex.com, there are well over 30 complaints lodged against them through Revdex.com.  It seems hardly the earmark for a "better business".

Sincerely,

Hi there IM bingbanners owner and all of my gigs 1 day delivery and I never became a Top rated seller yet now 6 years working with fiverr and I offer 24 hours delivery for $5 and I never changed that ever also I just charge $5 for 1 side design also I never change that yet

Review: I have been with Fiverr for 5 Months so far and have sold more the 50 dollars worth of work.

When I signed up, I was asked only four simple questions; my email address, username, password, and a simple math question

I am very uncomfortable with providing my personal information over the web, which caused me to avoid varies websites for business.

So I was very happy to learn how simple the process for Fiverr was. However the process prove to have hidden additions.

Between March and April, I have a speed up in commissions/orders. I completed them all successfully and earned fairly my income.

Fiverr holds the money for 14 day, for their clearance process, which has went by and now I have 20 dollars in my account with 8 more coming.

When I went to withdraw it, I was denied.

I contacted support and they told me

"We are reaching out to this email to authorize the accounts ownership. Withdrawing revenue from this account has been disabled until further notice. Your cooperation in verifying the account with the procedure below is appreciated in enforcing the security of the account.

Note: You can either authenticate with information from your Paypal account or your Fiverr Revenue Card, all of the requested materials must be produced from either selection.

ACCOUNT AUTHENTICATION THROUGH PAYPAL:

a scanned copy of your passport or another government-issued ID - the name must be the same as it appears on your PayPal account that was used for the Fiverr transaction. Attach the scanned copy when you reply to this message.

a Fiverr-related PayPal transaction ID that corresponds to the FIRST PayPal account used on the Fiverr account in question.

Please provide us with the FIRST PayPal email address that was used on this Fiverr account.

ACCOUNT AUTHENTICATION THROUGH YOUR FIVERR REVENUE CARD:

a scanned copy of your passport or another government-issued ID - the name must be the same as it appears on your Payoneer account that was used for the Fiverr account. Attach the scanned copy when you reply to this message.

your Payee ID associated to your Fiverr Revenue Card

We ask for your understanding in going through this process as we take the security of the account seriously."

At this point I replied with my concerns

"Hello [redacted], I wanted to start by first thanking you for your fast and respectful response. However I am uncomfortable with sending my personal information through Fiverr, I will certainly have to take legal action against Fiverr for discriminatory, misinformation and possible Fraudulent activity.

I was never warned about giving my information over the internet, if I had been warned about this, I would have never signed up and worked hours and hours on the work. I have done nothing to be interrogated and now my hard work is not being payed to me, that is thief, I worked hard on this website.

I moved up a level on this website, so why is this being asked just now?

Paypal is the only one who has some of my personal information and it will remain that way.

Fiverr has done me an injustice and I will take full action by law to receive what is mine.

Fiverr takes money from another persons account and is suppose to give it to me, for this action to be destructed, it is stealing. If I was dealing with this person to person, I would have received my money, but instead just like a burglar or mugger, my money was stolen by Fiverr.

Define Fraud

deceit, trickery, sharp practice, or breach of confidence, perpetrated for profit or to gain some unfair or dishonest advantage.

How is Fiverr Guilty Of This?

Fiverr knew ahead of time that this would occur, yet they allowed me to register an account and work hard for an income (That I need to Survive)

Just to get to this point an confiscate my rights to my own money. Fiverr will certainly get gain for this, because I will not send in my information, which mean they get my money and they knew that all along.

Define Discrimination

characterized by or showing prejudicial treatment, especially as an indication of racial, religious.

I have seen many gigs that have done many things against the rules, yet they continue to prosper on this site. Yet I have done nothing and I am being restricted after performing, basically [redacted] service to Fiverr.

Therefore I will have this website investigated by the law.

I have you all know, this has certainly ruined my day, and gave me a huge lack of trust for this corporation. I will be contacting the Revdex.com as well."

They then explain the reason they are suddenly compromising my money.

"Let me explain what happened so that you can understand why we're asking this of you. Our Security team has flagged your account for review after you receiving a potentially harmful message from a known hacker and this was done for your own safety. Note that we do mention in our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy that we may ask you to verify your identity before we can act on some requests and you also agreed to this when creating your Fiverr account.

Thank you for understanding."

Their policy did not make known to me of a hacker, nor did it tell me I would have to compromise my licence or any other personal information, in which I am uncomfortable with.

Now as an ending result, Fiverr has restricted my account making it so I can not withdraw my hard earned money, and the only way they have said to allow me to get it, is to compromise my personal information to a website they claim has had a hacker attempt.

They waited until I had money in my account to restricted it, and they knew all along what they were doing, which is fraudulent behavior and has caused me to lack trust in this corporation.Desired Settlement: I want my hard earned money, and to be honest, I do not want Fiverr to deduct anything from it, I want my full money, because they have cause me hardship in my household.

I also would like for them to fix their private policy to bring out that they will need a licence to verify for withdrawal.

Next time a hacker is detected, I would like to be notified, rather than being left wondering if I did something wrong.

Response:

We have communicated to [redacted] regarding the account issue and promptly resolved the incident to allow him to withdraw his cleared revenue from previously completed sales. Part of the concern [redacted] brought up was the proactive security measures applied to his account after our security team identified a potentially harmful phishing message sent to him. Our security team has since removed the potentially harmful message and accounts responsible. [redacted] has described a very common, and widely used account verification process that our Customer Support team uses to ensure that the person in contact with our Support team is in fact the account owner and not someone who is attempting to overtake an account through alternate channels. There has been no damage to his account, and our Customer Support team has provided him a full and detailed explanation of his account history surrounding the incident. Upon signing up with Fiverr, [redacted] acknowledged our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy which outline the measures we take to prevent Fraud or unauthorized account usage as part of the services offered to all users. By taking the additional step in preventing unauthorized account usage, Fiverr asserts that the actions taken in connection with [redacted]'s account by our security team were appropriate in the manner of securing his account. Fiverr has no intentions of discriminating or restricting any account owners from withdrawing the revenue earned from their accounts.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

I have got my money and depending on my next couple of months with them I may continue my services with them. Thanks Revdex.com, for your help in taking care of this problem.

As a recommendation to Fiverr, people should know from the beginning exactly everything you will need (whether at that exact moment or later) So basically, you need to make know, that you will one day or another request ID.

Sincerely,

I ordered a service from a seller ([redacted]), paid for the service and did not receive it.

I received a charge back from Fiverr and put in request # [redacted]. I have yet to receive a response. Fiverr also does not have a public phone number so that you could speak with someone to resolve the issue.

Fiverr Inc is one of the best market place for freelancer and people that want to start own business with passion.

Thanks Fiverr for ultimate support and make me success from 2012 to till date.

Review: Dear Revdex.com

Re: Fiverr - [redacted] Order: #[redacted] (2)

Like so many other complainants on Revdex.com, I believe Fiverr’s approach and dispute resolution encourages unacceptable, and less than legal practices and services to 'make quick money.'

As a well educated person in law and business, on 5/*/15 I tried a gig that ‘will publish and PROMOTE YOUR product or service for $5’ (3days) and leave the article on front page for ‘1 week’ ($26.25) from an ‘AUSTRALIAN JOURNALIST with Masters degrees in International Studies and Entrepreneurship’ with ‘25 yrs experience at [redacted].’ It turned out to be the most unprofessional and ridiculous service I had seen in my whole life, even though I had sent a standard document sent to other major news. [redacted]. The facts below are edited due to word limit. (Written messages can be provided if required.)

First, the journalist FAKED MY errors (grammatical, spelling etc) and CHANGED sentences so they were not comprehensible and published them, along with more than half a page of junk writing that was not in my original document. This shows the intent and malice for no reason and a first publication that deviated far from MY original (5/*/15), per my attachments to her.

I then asked her to edit/correct HER mistakes and do it per MY original. All the “editing” and time she spent was to correct her own (intentional) “errors”, per the written conversation.

Seeing where this was going, I compromised and requested the $5 basic gig due to the games, unprofessional conduct, intent, malice etc. as my partner 'felt it was not of publishable quality. Per my messages above, the sentences did not even make sense and I asked you to edit it per original as stated above and it is still not to his satisfaction. I had compromised and requested a basic gig. As a professional journalist I am sure you understand. Thank you.'

Seller states the “relea[s]e has been published for more that 24 hours... So I have completed my contract. Fiverr agrees and states that ‘the seller has completed the Gig as described’ they are ‘unable to cancel it at this point.’ But the original contract, even if done to a reasonable standard, requires 3 days min ($5) or 1 week ($26.25). 5/*/15

Then she did further inappropriate edits on the original document and published that on [redacted] and social media without my consent, which is very damaging. There are false and inappropriate sentences, to which I request a full refund. She responds with threats, inappropriate editing and action that are very damaging. She published it to pressure me into accepting her unacceptable work! i.e. blackmail.

She would not take down the published article until I accept her work as complete and she is paid $26.25 ASAP, stating “i am within my rights to write and publish the truth....I will take the article down after you accept the Gig as I completed my end of the bargain... You may litigate as you like, but I will tell the truth and that is my right as a journalist and a published author. ...I suggest you accept the work and I will take the article down and mov on form this horrendous experience...” (5/*/15)

I asked her to take down and delete the publication and informed her “FYI I did not write that and you did not publish my press release[article]! I have the evidence for it!”?Her post on my article was unacceptable compared to her other clients.’ I have never seen anyone, let alone a journalist, be so unprofessional, unacceptable and less than legal. I requested her to ‘please erase, delete and refund. Thanks!’ ‘This has wasted all of our time too!’

[redacted]She still refuses to cancel. I have asked Fiverr to “Please cancel on my behalf.” Yet they claim that she has ‘delivered in accordance with the agreement’ and advised me to cancel the gig at my end. The gig was supposed to cancel automatically yesterday, but now the cancel button has restarted the time clock and the cancel button does not work and the situation is not resolved! They have thus, encouraged intentionally unprofessional, unacceptable and less than legal work, conduct and behavior from a 20+yr journalist.Desired Settlement: Illegalities, misconduct, non and inadequate performance should void the contract:

1.Journalists should not make false statements and fake the author’s errors and publish them, especially without consent.
2. They should not edit and publish false statements to pressure the buyer to accept their work as complete (i.e. blackmail), especially when the author did not consent and the the contract is not complete!
3.Seller states the “relea[s]e has been published for more that 24 hours... So I have completed my contract. Fiverr agrees and states that ‘the seller has completed the Gig as described’ they are ‘unable to cancel it at this point.’ But the original contract, even if done to a reasonable standard, requires 3 days min ($5) or 1 week ($26.25). 5/*/15
4. She did NOT PROMOTE MY article. She PUBLISHED HER POOR and LESS THAN LEGAL work and FALSE STATEMENTS.

I want:
1.A full refund/credit. These funds will still be used on Fiverr so there is no loss to Fiverr, per my current credit.
2. The article erased and deleted from the media and internet, with written confirmation.
3. A written apology published on [redacted].
4. The proactive and quick removal of this seller from Fiverr, to protect other buyers.
5. I also want protection re my photos and information which was sent to her for this gig only. Furthermore whatever she has, she must agree in writing not cause any damage or retribution and/or anything of that nature.
6.I want the all issues addressed here so we do not have to resort to other forms of dispute resolution.

I trust that you will resolve this positively ASAP. Thank you kindly.

Response:
We have reviewed the complaint from [redacted] and have went ahead and refunded her for the purchase of Order #[redacted]. We do apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused to [redacted]. Fiverr does not guarantee the level of service that a seller and fellow community member provides and is expected to use our rating system to rate their experience accordingly. [redacted] is encouraged to contact her seller to request to remove any content done from the services she purchased. Furthermore, additional claims against the seller or usage of the materials provided to them to complete the service is addressed in our Limitations of Liability section in our Terms of Service: https://www.fiverr.com/terms_of_service. If [redacted] has any further issues related to their seller or experience, she is welcomed to contact Customer Support at any time: [redacted] or https://support.fiverr.com

Consumer
Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Fiverr’s solution/approach further confirms that Fiverr favors sellers and encourages them to take less than legal action because:1. The inconvenience is not resolved.2. The seller was requested to remove the content and article many times, per messages and original complaint. She clearly states in her blackmail message:”I will take the article down after you accept the Gig as I completed my end of the bargain...I suggest you accept the work and I will take the article down and mov on form this horrendous experience...” (5/*/15)3. Where there are illegalities and misconduct, there are responsibilities, regardless of your policies.4. Solutions have to make buyers whole again.5. I was not given the opportunity to rate the seller or leave any comments, per protocol. Depending on your rating system, it may hardly affect the seller at all, hence encouraging misconduct.6. How can I rely on Fiverr’s customer service when they agree and state that ‘the seller has completed the Gig as described’ despite illegalities?Hence, I respectfully request your intervention re:1. The article to be erased and deleted from the media and internet.2. The removal of seller [redacted].3.No use and/or misuse of my photos and information.Evidence can be provided where necessary. Thank you.Respectfully,[redacted]

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

Business
Response:
We have reviewed the complaint from [redacted] and already addressed her issues. In our previous Revdex.com response, we have stated a refund was given for her purchase of Order #[redacted] as a sign of good faith.  As previously mentioned, Fiverr does not guarantee the level of service that a seller and fellow community member provides. [redacted] is encouraged to contact her seller to request the removal any content related to her purchase. The seller provides the service to their buyers, not Fiverr itself. We are not able to assist her with any further actions to remove content not published on Fiverr. Furthermore, additional claims against the seller or usage of the materials provided to them to complete the service is addressed in our Limitations of Liability section in our Terms of Service: https://www.fiverr.com/terms_of_service. When signing up to use our site, [redacted] agreed to these terms of service. Any additional complaints from [redacted] that are outside of the scope of Fiverr's responsibility has been already stated in this Revdex.com complaint.
