information has been disassociated from your card. Currently, a receipt will not be sent unless new contact information is entered. Entering an email address for a future receipt will subscribe you to receive receipts at this email for all subsequent card purchases from Square merchants but you can unsubscribe from these to stop receiving automatic receipts so that an email address will need to be entered for each purchase. Follow the steps below to do so:From the emailed receipt, click Not your receipt?” at the bottom.Select “Do not automatically send me any digital receipts” to stop all automatic receipts from all Square merchants.After unsubscribing, you won’t be automatically resubscribed to future digital receipts. Keep in mind that if another person who uses the card enters their own email address, the receipt for that individual purchase will go to them. Square does not have a way to permanently link one email address to a card for all receipts. If you're still subscribed to automatic receipts and another person who uses the card enters their own email address for the receipt, they will receive future receipts as well.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: The issue is NOT resolved.  The funds were sent to a closed account, and when contacting [redacted] re the money they informed me that they returned them to the issuer (which is you) and now are lost.  The proper bank account for deposit is now linked...which took 8 months of the account showing pending verification, is linked and has been linked eagerly awaiting the money to be deposited.  Your terms state that if the money is routed back they will be sent to the proper account within 2-3 business days.  I have now been waiting 35 days plus and haven't received anything.  I do not know why such a seemingly reputable company can be so poorly run and why obtaining MY MONEY is nearly impossible and how that is even legal.  Nonetheless please deposit the [redacted] into my [redacted] account listed and verified asap as that is the ONLY fair resolution Sincerely,[redacted]

Thanks for writing in. Square has taken a look at your account and the refund you made on this payment, and have resolved the issue. You should now be able to continue accepting transactions using your Square account, and receiving deposits as normal.
Please note that under Square's Terms...

of Service, you cannot process prepaid cards, gift cards, or your own credit card using your Square account. The Square Terms of Service also prohibit using Square as a money transfer system. You must provide a legitimate good or service in exchange for every payment processed with Square.

After your first purchase at a Square seller, you’ll have the option to provide your email address or phone number if you would like to receive digital receipts. If you provide an email address, you’ll start receiving automatic receipts delivered by Square at that email address for all purchases you make from Square sellers using the same card. Any card with that card number, regardless of the name on the card, will receive automatic receipts for purchases made at Square merchants to the initial email provided. Square does not share your contact information with Square sellers. To unlink your email address, click the “Not your receipt?” link on the bottom of the receipt you received.

Thank you for writing in, after reviewing your account we found that the IRS placed a Tax Levy hold on your account.Essentially we received a legal order to hold funds from the state due to  tax debts, the funds will remain on hold until we receive a release from the state.

of My taxes. I talked to the State of Texas Comptrollers office They have no idea of any problem. I have received nothing from anyone having any collection problems. I have no idea of how the IRS could do this without contacting Me. Can someone PLEASE call Me and get this resolved.

Please refer to the email correspondence sent by Square on 2/10/16. The message states: "We're sorry to inform you that we are deactivating your account. We reviewed your account and found that your Square account processed an excessive amount of prepaid card transactions, which violates the Square Seller Agreement. We regret that, starting today, you will no longer be able to process transactions using Square. Due to the unusual or high risk activity associated with your account, your outstanding Square balance will be reserved for up to 180 days (but no less than 150 days), unless circumstances require that we extend this reserve period. If you do not want us to reserve your funds, you may refund the payment back to the cardholder account."
