RE:  Stanley [redacted] / Complaint ID [redacted] Emerald Coast RV Center, LLC dba Camping World RV Sales (“CWRV Sales”) is in receipt of your notice of February 14, 2017, advising the above referenced complaint was filed with your office.  We take all consumer issues very seriously and are...

aware Mr. [redacted] filed a similar complaint with the Revdex.com.                  CWRV Sales denies any claims of liability alleged by Mr. [redacted], as we found no evidence to support his claims.   First, on June 24, 2016, prior to taking delivery, Mr. [redacted] conducted a walkthrough of the RV with a CWRV Sales’ associate.  Upon completion of the walkthrough, Mr. [redacted] signed documentation acknowledging he found no issues with the RV, except that of the missing chair tiedowns.  Secondly, CWRV Sales’ service records indicate Mr. [redacted]’ first contact after delivery was on October 14, 2016 to schedule an appointment for warranty service.  Mr. [redacted] did not raise any concerns about the ladder through this time.   On December 2, 2016, Mr. [redacted] dropped off his RV for the scheduled warranty repairs and for the first-time raised concerns about the ladder, alleging it was damaged at the time of delivery.  Management reviewed the sales file and found no mention or documentation regarding the ladder.   Subsequent conversations with the Mr. [redacted] and an onsite inspection revealed the ladder damage could be the result of sudden impact or the RV being involved in a collision. CWRV Sales filed a claim for the damage under the manufacturer’s warranty and it was denied, due to evidence of incidental damage.   Management then recommended Mr. [redacted] file a claim with his insurance carrier, to which he declined.                   In mid-January 2017, Mr. [redacted] advised CWRV Sales’ Fixed Operations Director, Jonathan [redacted] that the front cap needed repair and alleged it was CWRV Sales’ hitch installation that caused the damage.  When Mr. [redacted] returned with the tow vehicle CWRV Sales discovered the entire hitch system removed and transferred to another vehicle.  CWRV Sales does not assume liability for his claim in part because Mr. [redacted] did not afford the it the opportunity to inspect and diagnose the issue or the possibility of performing any necessary rework, prior to the hitch removal.  Notwithstanding the aforementioned and as a gesture of good will, CWRV Sales offered to discount any necessary body repairs and Mr. [redacted] requested an estimate for review.  We understand an estimate was forwarded via email for his consideration and the service team is awaiting his response.  If Mr. [redacted] did not receive the estimate or would like to discuss the contents, we request that he contact his service advisor, Eric [redacted] at [redacted].                  Lastly, it was brought to our attention that all warranty repairs were completed and Mr. [redacted] took possession of his RV on or about February 22, 2017.  Nothing in this correspondence shall be construed as an admission of fault or liability about the issues raised in the complaint filed by Stanley [redacted].   Respectfully submitted, CWRV Sales

RE: Stacy [redacted] / Complaint ID [redacted]   Meyer's RV Centers, LLC dba Camping World RV Sales ("CWRV Sales") is in receipt of the consumer complaint filed by Stacy [redacted].  We take all consumer complaints very seriously and appreciate your office bringing this matter to our attention.  We forwarded the issues raised in the complaint to CWRV Sales' management team which hereby responds as follows:    CWRV Sales respectfully declines to purchase the awing arms as the company did not create the issue.  First, CWRV Sales confirmed the purchase date for the subject unit is October 24, 2016.  The issue was first raised at drop off on November 19, 2016, thirteen (13) months after purchase.  Second, the applicable work order details the customer's statement that the awing arm was damaged.  A claim was submitted under the manufacturer's warranty and denied.  It is also important to note, the customer originally conveyed that they would pay for the awning arm parts and then declined to pay at pick up on January 14, 2017.  CWRV Sales is not liable to make the repairs at no cost.  Nothing in this correspondence shall be construed as an admission of fault or liability with any issues raised in the complaint.  Regards, CWRV Sales

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:After talking to other RV dealers no one has ever heard of such a huge amount of gap between frame and model number of vehicle. As  I stated before there are disclosures laws regarding things of this nature.I have also learned that judges no longer adhere  to the old rule of buyer beware ,

The corporate office is in receipt of the consumer complaint recently filed with the Revdex.com. Unfortunately, [redacted] did not provide sufficient information that would allow our office to conduct a thorough investigation into the issues raised in the complaint. ...

To look into this matter, we would need the Stock Number of the RV and the location it was purchased.
Upon receipt of the requested information we will gladly conduct an investigation into the consumer's claims.

matter to our attention.  We have forwarded the issues raised in the complaint to the local management team for review.  CWRV Sales denies Mr. [redacted]'s request for compensation for travel and inconvenience, as he is not entitled to same.  It is further acknowledged that when Mr. [redacted] returned to retrieve his RV he alleged a new, uninstalled TV, in its original box/container was missing from the unit. CWRV Sales could was unable to substantiate his claim and denies any wrongdoing.  We further understand when Mr. [redacted] presented his RV and authorized the repairs he signed the work order acknowledging the company was not responsible for any loss or damage due to theft.   However, upon learning of the claim CWRV Sales' representatives contacted the local authorities who attended to Mr. [redacted] and a police report was filed. CWRV Sales General Manager contacted Mr. [redacted] to discuss the issues raised in the complaint.  We understand Mr. [redacted] has agreed to take the RV to CWRV Sales' affiliate in Greenwood, IN to have repair concerns addressed.  With respect to the claims of damage to the couch.  CWRV Sales asserts Mr. [redacted] had not raised any concern about the couch prior to its receipt of this complaint.  CWRV Sales is hopeful that any unresolved issues will be addressed at that time.Lastly, CWRV Sales management reviewed the records and advises Mr. [redacted] did not purchase paint protection and therefore it was not applied to his unit. If he believes this determination was made in error we request that he address his concerns to [redacted] at [redacted]  Nothing in this correspondence shall be construed as an admission of fault or liability with any issues raised in the complaint filed by [redacted].Regards, CWRV Sales

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Due to the fact that they are refusing to reimburse the $790 Prep Fee, General Manager Tom Robison promised to provide me with $790 Prep Fee details on what was prepped and checked/inspected on the travel trailer.  He advised me that it would be sent to me on Monday, 1/22.  Today is 2/2 and I still have not received the paperwork or a follow up phone call from him to advise me he is still working on it.  This would lead me to believe, once again, that they DID NOT PREP THE TRAILER if they can't provide me proof.  This place is just full of empty promises.  Even though we are not going to shop at Camping World again, we are still a paying customer and should be treated as such.  I didn't buy a $100 tent, I bought a $17,000 camper.
Sincerely,
Jasmin [redacted]
