GM Financial Reviews (4045)

Thank you for the correspondence sent to the Revdex.com. I have reviewed your concerns and would like to offer you the following information. GM Financial was not present during the contract negotiations between yourself and Jeff Wyler Chevrolet. On April 21, 2012, you signed...

a Retail Installment Sale Contract (“Contract”) for the 2012 Chevrolet Impala in the amount of $34,630.67 at an interest rate of 11.90%. Within the agreement, you agreed to repay the loan in 72 monthly installments in the amount of $678.36 per month, beginning on June 5, 2012. The contract is a simple interest contract which means interest accrues daily on the unpaid principal balance. If all payments were paid by the installment due date, the account would be paid in full on the contract maturity date. In review of your account activity and payment history additional interest  has accrued over the life of the loan due to payments being made after the scheduled due date and deferments that were processed at your request. Over the life of this loan; four deferments were processed at your request for the months of August and September of 2013 and June and July of 2014. The account has also been paid past the installment due date on numerous occasions; including 3 times over 30 days past due, 1 time over 60 days past due; and 1 time over 90 days past due. It is important to understand that when payments are paid late or deferred, interest will continue to accrue on the unpaid principal balance.  Please understand that enrollment in the GAP program is voluntary and is not required to obtain credit. You purchased this GAP program from Western Diversified Services, Inc.; not GM Financial. As such, GM Financial cannot account for what the GAP program will and will not cover in the event of a claim. You will need to contact Western Diversified Services, Inc. to discuss your policy. GM Financial received a payment of $4,395.20 from Western Diversified Services, Inc. on August 17, 2015. The remaining amount required to pay off the account on the above vehicle is $4,721.55. This payoff must be received by September 5, 2015 and is subject to change if the payoff expires, changes to the account payment history occur or fees assess to the account. Included for your review are copies of your Contract, Account Payment History, and GAP Addendum. Should you have any further questions or require additional assistance, please contact the Total Loss department at 1(877)203-5536. Sincerely,GM Financial

Thank you for the additional correspondence sent to the Revdex.com. I have reviewed your additional comments and would like to provide the following information. Below is the breakdown of the payoff quoted to you yesterday:PAYOFF GOOD TO DATE:                          9-05-2015 NET PAYOFF:                                    ... PRINCIPAL AMOUNT:                                $4,099.19 INTEREST DUE:                                      ... LATE FEES DUE:                                      ... PAYOFF INTEREST PER DAY:                     $1.33   This information is supported by your account payment history. Payments from Progressive and your GAP claim have been accounted for in this amount. The interest amount included in the payoff quote is slightly higher than that reflected on the Account Payment History as the payoff quote is good through September 5, 2015. GM Financial is aware that there may be a refund owed due to the cancellation of your extended warranty in the estimated amount of $228.64; however, to date GM Financial has not received this refund from your originating dealership and cannot include this amount in the current payoff quoted, until it has been received. Please understand that the account will continue to accrue daily interest and report to the credit reporting agencies as stated in your retail installment contract. Should you have any further questions or require additional assistance, please contact the Total Loss department at ###-###-####. Sincerely,GM Financial

to report truthful and accurate information to the credit bureau reporting agencies. Our research concludes that the account status and account payment history of your account have been reported to the credit agencies with accuracy; and as a result, we are unable to make any changes or deletions to the credit bureau reporting of your account at this time.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Due to the extreme  negligence of this company and their reporting practice I am no longer qualified to purchase my home. This is a direct result of the removal and subsequent readd of the account on my credit report.  I respectfully requested at least one month of payments waived so I can save enough for a security deposit on a place to live, but have been met with aggressive and rude operators. You'd think a company that ruined my life would be more willing to help over their profit margin.
Regards,

Thank you for the additional correspondence sent to the Revdex.com. I have reviewed your concerns and would like to offer the following information. Attached for your records is a copy of the Settlement Confirmation Letter. A hard copy has been mailed to your recently updated address of record. Please understand that the credit bureau reporting of your account will not be updated to reflect settled in full as a charged-off account, until the full negotiated settlement amount has been satisfied. According to our records, GM Financial is allowing you to settle this account balance as a charged-off account in the amount of $1,000.00 to be paid in 6 installments due on the last day of each month beginning December 31, 2015. The final installment for the settlement amount is due on May 31, 2016. The next scheduled credit bureau reporting date for your account would fall on June 7, 2016 or June 8, 2016. You will need to allow the credit bureau reporting agencies 30-45 days from these dates to reflect the updates to your GM Financial tradeline.    Should you have any further questions or require additional assistance, please feel free to contact GM Financial at 1(877)203-5539. Sincerely,GM Financial

Thank you for the correspondence sent to the Revdex.com. I have reviewed your concerns and would like to provide the following information. On October 9, 2015 you entered into a Motor Vehicle Retail Installment Sales Contract for the purchase of a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado in the amount...

of $34,633.21 at an annual percentage rate of 12.00% due for a 60 month term in the amount of $773.94, beginning November 23, 2015. The contract is a simple interest contract which means interest accrues daily on the unpaid principal balance. Please note that GM Financial places a high priority on adhering to all state and federal laws. As per Texas law a cure notice was mailed on January 5, 2016, and a notice of acceleration was mailed on January 25, 2016 to your last known address prior to repossession. On February 24, 2016, the decision was made to place the vehicle out for repossession, as allowed by your Contract. At this time the account was 63 days past due for the 2nd installment payment due on December 23, 2015. The account history was reviewed thoroughly and it has been determined that the handling of the account, including repossession, was in compliance with all state and federal laws. The State of Texas is a redemption only state; therefore, the balance will need to be paid in full in in order for you to redeem the vehicle. Please understand that these funds need to be remitted to GM Financial in the form of certified funds like an official bank check or cashier’s check.Included for your review are copies of your Contract and Account Payment History. Please note that returned payments will not be reflected on this payment history. For additional copies of the statutory notices, a subpoena is required.Should you have any further questions or require additional assistance, please contact GM Financial at ###-###-####.Sincerely,GM Financial

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:The account has not been completely updated it only shows the $468. payment that I submitted on 1/15/18 the account HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED it states that I am late I could not be late if they received nine thousand dollar payment.   Plus the GAP payment was sent on Jan 5, 2018 not Jan 1, 2018 this is very suspicious GM has not updated the account at ALL the same information has remained.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:my payments were caught up. I paid everything up to date. the lady I spoke to on the phone told me the repo order was cancelled on the 19th of the month and my car wouldn't be towed. they should go into the recordings and listen to the conversation we had. I took care of the 560 and change like agreed. then over a week later my car was taken from my house with all my work equipment in it and I couldn't go to work because my keys were in there and all my tools. they might want to look up the unlawful repossession in new York state because what the did violated that law. when I called the bank the same day they told me there was no repo order opened and it shouldn't have been taken. took them 30 mins to find out what happened with my car.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute.
Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below.
You are not replying to what I am saying. You are just wanting me to call. I have done that already and all your company does is lie. That is why I went to the Revdex.com. I am not calling until you make things right. All that will happen is that I will get another undertrained underpaid staff member who will lie to me, not follow through and it will just cause me more stress. Especially if I get mocked and mimicked again. You have lost a customer. And I will make sure that everyone I speak to knows to avoid GM financial, Americredit and GM products. You have stolen money from me through lies. And I will not be satisfied until you make it right. I am not asking for much, just what your employees lies have cost me and my family. I cannot believe that you are telling me that it is normal and acceptable for customers to be mocked, lied to, and caused financial harm. Regards,
