Dear Ms. [redacted],
Thank you for the additional correspondence sent to the Revdex.com. I have reviewed your concerns and would like to offer the following information.
Please note all previous due date changes were not processed because the account was not current at the time of the request, and required a return phone call when the account was brought current.
In order for GM Financial to research and locate a missing payment, proof of the cleared funds are required. If the missing payment has been cashed by GM Financial, please fax in a front and back copy of the cashed check or a bank statement with a running balance, before and after both transactions, to ([redacted] so that research may begin.
Should you have any questions or require additional assistance regarding this matter, please feel free to contact GM Financial directly at ([redacted].

My reason for rejecting the business response, is because to this point there frankly hasn't been one yet to my complaint. While GM Financial has reiterated my lease terms and sent me a history of that, at no point was I complaining about them. My complaint was that the GM Financial payment system reflected no payment was due until it showed 2 payments due in April which I immediately paid. I went to the Revdex.com with this in the first place out of curiosity to see if other consumers were having the same issue. Didn't need to look far as on 6/13 there was the same complaint of not knowing payment was due until after the fact based on confusion with the website. My experience was the same, seeing $0 due until after 30 days late. I've called customer service, been told it was known it could be confusing, and that you'll see a balance due when it's time to pay - along with the fact that there is a buffer period built in for you to pay beyond your due date. This is exactly what I did, as in the complaint from the 13th. In that instance, a similar standard response was given. In follow-up, GM Financial did decide to reverse the late reporting after, I assume, accepting that the website played a role...not solely consumer error. In my instance, I have received essentially a "go away" message from the company rather than a response. This seems directly at odds with what the Revdex.com stands for. The resolution I initially asked for was some understanding from the company that there is enough evidence of error/poor customer service/etc on the companies part for the way their bill pay system works to reverse the reporting of my account being 30 days late to credit bureaus. As the complaint from 6/13 wrote - GM Financials failure to acknowledge fault or take any steps to correct the error are incredibly poor customer service and are in violation of the Fair Credit Act and I will act outside of the Revdex.com if required. Dear Ms. [redacted],
Thank you for the correspondence sent to the Revdex.com. I have reviewed your concerns and would like to provide the following information.
Please note on January 17, 2011, you signed a Retail Installment Sale Contract for a 2009 Mazda 5 in the amount of $15,154.83 at an interest rate of 18.85%. Within the agreement, you agreed to repay the loan in 72 monthly installments in the amount of $355.70 per month, beginning March 3, 2011. At your request, GM Financial processed a total of eight deferred payments that extended the maturity date of the contract to October 3, 2017.
Your GM Financial account matured on October 3, 2017; at which time the balance was due in full for the amount of $4,639.75. Our records reflect that a maturity letter was mailed to the address on file on October 3, 2017.
Please be advised numerous efforts were made to contact you with regard to the status of the account. Our records reflect that we last spoke with you on February 8, 2018; at which time no firm arrangements were made on the account. The last payment received on the account was on January 29, 2018.
On February 15, 2018 the decision was made to place the vehicle out for repossession, as allowed by your contract. The account history was reviewed thoroughly and it has been determined that the handling of the account, including repossession, was in compliance with all state and federal laws.
The “Notice of Right to Redeem or Reinstate” and the “Notice of Our Plan to Sell Property” were mailed to the address of record on February 21, 2018 by United Stated Postal Service (“USPS”) Certified Mail. Please note that after a review of this account, all statutory notices were mailed to you at your last known address. In accordance with the applicable law, the statutory notice provided information about how and when to secure any personal property left in the vehicle. These notices also explained that you would be required to pay the difference between the amount you owed to GM Financial and the amount the vehicle sold for, plus expenses if you opted not to redeem/reinstate the vehicle.
Included for your review are copies of your contract and account payment history. Should you have any further questions or require additional assistance, please contact GM Financial’ s Customer Service department at (800)284-2271.
Sincerely,
GM Financial
I am not being currently represented by an attorney but those are the actions I am willing to take to get this matter resolved. I just wished GMFinancial as a company would of done their due diligence to investigate and research all matters regarding this issue. I am shocked and appalled that such a company is letting their employee get away with this type of laziness.
This is a done deal, I can't change it, but their comments do not change how I feel about this company again I also stated in my comments everything they said. I said I knew the interest rate going in, I also stated that they may have put all the compounded interest daily in the contract but the average person does not understand all the information especially with the very high interest rate they charged I would not and did not expect hidden costs. They also stated on each call this was explained which it was not as per my statement the main reason I filed this complaint was because no two people in my numerous calls at the end after paying this off gave me the same answer. If you read the notes in the last month of my calls you will see how nothing was handled by any two calls alike. I don't want to go back and forth with us both saying the same thing over and over again it doesn't change anything. You guys sent me an unsigned title letter which I had to go to the clerk of courts and be sent home, so I called and asked them to fax a signed copy to the clerk of courts and was told it would take 24 to 48 hours, so after 48 hours I called the clerk of courts they didn't have the letter so I called back and was told it took 48 hours from the day after I was told this. So the next day I called still no letter. Each time I called I explained this car was sold and the people were waiting for the title. The last time I called I asked to have it faxed to my house, guess what I received the 2nd letter that was mailed before I received any of the faxed letters. I am sorry but I do not believe when I could not get a single faxed signed letter that this cust. service dept. was telling me every time how the payments were being handled. Thank you [redacted]
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
