Review: I sold two iPhones back to this device recycling program. A check was issued for each device and I deposited it. A few days later my bank backed out the deposit saying the company close the account for the account which they issued the check. I have tried to contact both Guzu and u sell directly and get no response. I sold the devices back under the email [redacted]Desired Settlement: I want the money for the devices they took back.

Review: On September [redacted], 2015 I sold my iPhone 6 64G ([redacted]) to Guzu Inc. Upon finalizing the sale via the Guzu website I chose the [redacted] option where I would receive my payment in the amount of $320 within 1-2 days (according to their website). On this same date I received a confirmation e-mail that my order was approved for order #[redacted]. After shipping the phone to Guzu I received two separate e-mails; once indicating that they received my packaged and the second stating that my order was approved. On October [redacted], 2015 I wrote to their support ([redacted]) claiming that I have yet to receive the payment in the amount of $320.00 where the following day a representative named Amanda responded with a response stating that they've had a shortage on their cash flow due to fraudulent activity on their bank accounts and that they were "catching up". I wrote back to Amanda on 10/**/15 where I received the same exact response. All which I can provide documentation for.Desired Settlement: The desired outcome for this complaint is that I receive payment for the phone which I sold and shipped to them in a timely manner. The payment amount owed is in the amount of $320. If I do not receive payment by December [redacted], 2015 I will proceed with legal actions. If they are still on a shortage of cashflow then I demand that they ship my phone back to me. Where I will confirm that my phone is returned to me by validating its unique identifier ( serial numbers, IMEI, etc).

Review: I traded in my iPhone5 to the company for cash. I shipped it with the prepaid [redacted] label provided but the company hasn't paid me the money that was agreed upon. I received an email confirmation that the trade-in offer was accepted and that my payment is being sent out. The e-mail confirms that payment should be received in 1-3 business days. However, as several weeks go by I still did not receive a payment. I sent them an e-mail asking about my payment but never received an answer.

The status of my order on their website is "[redacted]".Desired Settlement: Payment of the $95 as agreed or return of my iPhone5.

Sincerely,

Review: I sold my iPhone 6 Plus to Guzu in September 2015. I received notification by email that they had gotten my phone and upon inspection, approved me to receive payment of $380.00. It has been 3 weeks and I still have not received my payment. I have emailed the company without receiving a response. If Guzu is unable to send me a check in the amount of $380.00, I would like my phone returned to me.Desired Settlement: Payment of $380.00 or phone returned to me.

Review: I was quoted $270 for my two iPhone 5S and they said I would receive payment when devices are verified. I received the email my devices were received and approved for payment and that payment would be shipped in 1 to 3 business days. That was 6 days ago. I emailed the company as no number is listed, I did receive one response from Amanda(Guzu) saying they have issue of cash flow, but after I asked when I could receive the payment, no response anymore.Desired Settlement: I want my payment of $270 as promised or the devices returned in the condition sent. They are basically brand new.

Review: On 1/*/14, I agreed to trade in my 16gb iPhone 5 to Guzu, Inc for the agreed amount of $152.00. A shipment kit was sent to me and I packed up my iPhone and shipped it to Guzu. The package was received on 01/**/14, and an email confirmation was sent to me stating that my phone has been received and that the process has been completed. A follow up email said that Guzu has initiated the payment for $152.00 to be credited to my paypal account, within 24-48 hrs. Both emails were sent and received on 1/**/14. Also on 1/**/14 I received an email from Guzu via PayPal, stating that Guzu sent me $152.00. On 1/**/14, I received an final email from Guzu via PayPal saying, "Subject: A PayPal payment to you has been canceled

Dear (my email address),

Guzu Inc canceled this PayPal payment:

Amount: $152.00 USD" everything else in the email was a copy and paste of the previous email. I sent an email to [redacted] but no response has been made.Desired Settlement: I would like the $152.00 that was agreed upon before I shipped my phone to them.

Business

Response:

The payment for the customer was issued on 1/** in the amount of $152. The PayPal payment was not completed due to issues with the customers account. The customer was notified of this, and we attempted to redeposit the $152 to his PayPal account on 1/**. The funds are still unclaimed due to the standing of the customers account with PayPal. We would like to satisfy this debt with this customer, but there is little we can do without the customers action. If the customer can contact us via email at [redacted], we will be sure to get the payment processed to him once he verifies his account. Please let us know if you need anything further from us in regards to this matter.

Thanks!

Review: I sent my iPhone 5 to be recycled by Guzu at the end of Sept 2015. I received notification that I was approved for payment of $80.00 on Sept ** and that payment would be processed within next 1-3 business days. A week went by with no payment so I reached out to see what was going on. Another week went by with still no payment nor response from the previous week's inquiry so I reached out again. A customer service rep replied on Oct ** and said that Guzu experienced a series of fraud attempts and had issues with their cash flow due to this problem, but that they were in the process of catching up old payments. Ok. Another week goes by and still nothing. I reached out again on Oct ** to follow up. Rep said they're still working on it. It is now beginning of December and I have neither received payment nor any correspondence from Guzu as to the status of my payment. I reached out again on Dec * explaining everything I just said above; I said to either pay me the $80 I am owed or send me back my phone to recycle it with another company. I received an automatic reply saying I would be receiving a response within the next 24-48 hours but have still not received anything. This operation is unacceptable which is why I am filing a formal complaint with Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: I am paid at least the $80 I am owed from Guzu - that was promised to be delivered to me at the end of September 2015.

I received a check for $80.00 on 12/** and deposited it on 1/*. However, I received a notification from my bank that the check was being returned and could not be deposited, and that I was to contact the issuer to resolve. I have contacted Guzu but have not heard back yet.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I received a legal copy of the check from [redacted] a few days later, which I took to a teller and deposited, who assured me that Guzu had sufficient funds in their account this time, so I thought issue was resolved. However, I just got an email from [redacted] saying that the check (legal copy) was AGAIN returned due to lack of sufficient funds - so I need to send a message back to Guzu with this information through the Revdex.com portal, as that is the only way Guzu seems to get back to me.

Sincerely,

Review: In 2013 I used Guzu.com service to trade-in an iPad and had no complaints. Two years later, I am having the complete opposite experience.

I sent Guzu two iPhone trade orders for cash. Thus far, Guzu, hasn't paid me the money that was agreed upon. I have received email confirmation that my trade-in offer has been accepted and that my payment is being sent out. Guzu policy states that payment should be received in 1-3 business days but I still haven't received the cash for my devices over a month later.

I have tried contacting them through their website contact form and I receive no response. I've sent them e-mails without response. I've tried calling their business directly and the number is dead. I've even resorted to publicly complaining to them daily on Twitter, because I have no other avenue to voice my issue.

All I want is either my payment or two devices back. If they are out of business, they need to close up shop professionally and legally. The worst part is that I still receive their automatic messages in e-mail touting their new "offers."

Please help!!!Desired Settlement: All I want is either my payment or two devices back. If they are out of business, they need to close up shop professionally and legally.

At this point, I am not getting my payment AND without my devices to trade-in elsewhere. I need one or the other to have resolution.

Consumer

Response:

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Guzu, Inc. regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

After many complaints through e-mail, twitter, the Revdex.com and other consumer complaint sites, I finally received what looked like an automated e-mail from Guzu notifying me that my checks were being shipped. I received this message on November [redacted], 2015, about two months since I had sent them my devices. In the message, there is a notification that the check may take up to 5 days to arrive. It has now been a month and I have not seen a check in the mail. Even if I were to receive the checks, my confidence that the checks won't bounce is extremely low.It should be noted that within the past month I have still received automated mailers from Guzu offering deals and discounts. I even received a special Black Friday promotion. This company is still seeking to scam customers into turning over their phones. I have never felt so cheated in my entire life.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

Review: I have contacted them numerous times regarding receiving payment for a phone that they bought from me. They have had it in their possession for over a month and I have not gotten a check.
