Jean did speak with me on November *, 2015, and did tell me that they were not able to proceed with my claim I asked Jean how they were able to prove that the damage was not caused by faulty work by their contractor He did say it had been long - but also repeatedly said he was not from customer service and was only authorized to deliver the message to me and that he was NOT from customer serviceI again repeated that all I really wanted was for somebody to repair the damage and to check the remaining shelf that is in place that was also put up by a Handy contractor He said he would have somebody from customer service get in touch with me in the next few days Nobody called

I, *** ***, one of Handybook's *** experience shift leaders spoke to the *** (***) and advised the *** to file a police report for the alleged theft but she never did (we did followup with a phone call immediatelyThe assigned service professional
called us immediately after arriving at the ***s home and said that she would not be able to clean the home because there is so much clutter everywhere and that it needed to be cleared out before she could do any workWe already refunded the *** and have not had any further interactions with herThis is simply an allegation and the *** has not made an effort to get a police report
We would love to resolve the matter but in order to proceed with this case we will need a police reportPlease let me know what else you need so we can resolve this matter

Handy has not responded to my question as to how they explain their fraudulent business practice of overbooking and taking money for services prior to completion, when they know they cannot meet the demand Unless you can guaranty with reasonable certainty that services can be provided to a customer, you should not take their money This is the second time this has happened to me when I book a cleaning for a holiday weekend If Handy does not have the staff to cover their appointments and cover any last minute call offs by employees they should not book (and take the money) for such a large amount of servicesRight now I can go on their website and book a last minute appointment for tomorrow and ANY TIMEI would like them to explain how that is possible It is fraudulent and deceptive and I intend to pursue all legal action including filing a complaint with the Attorney General's Consumer Protection AgencyWhile I was refunded my money, that does not clear the fraudulent business practices of this company I was placed in the position of having to clean my house myself and therefore lose time and energy elsewhere or hire another professional at the last minute, which of course wasn't even possible on a holiday

As the recent cleaning, job was rescheduled outside the Handy platform after the professional provided you their personal number, this is in violation of section 3d of the Terms and Conditions agreed to when signing up for Handy, as is evident in the screenshot
attached to this message. I have reached out to the professional, Courtney, regarding your keys to coordinate the return, and have informed her local city manager of your experience for review of her status on the Handy platform.
I issued the $credits that were used to pay for this cleaning back to your account, and then converted the credits back to the card on file The $refund will post back in your account in 3-business days.
We will be sure to reach out to you if we hear back from Courtney.
