Hello, As stated previously, we have completed the review of your account and have come to a firm decision to permanently deactivate all of your accounts. We verified that more than one account was created using your information - specifically we can see five accounts total created using similar informationPer Ibotta’s Terms of Use, Section 11, users may not create more than one (1) Ibotta account. We have also verified that you have attempted to refer at least one account that uses the same account or purchase informationPer Ibotta's Terms of Use, Section 10.11, users may not exploit or attempt to exploit Ibotta’s referral bonus program in an effort to earn illegitimate referral bonuses or credit(s)This includes the following: inviting oneself on an additional account or inviting others who share the same mobile device. Users shall not be eligible to earn referral bonuses if they invite other users who share the same mobile device, create multiple accounts, or attempt to exploit our referral program in any waySuch actions violate our Terms of Use and provide clear evidence for Ibotta to terminate a user’s account, rescind any referral bonuses, or take any other actions as appropriate. Due to the nature of our business, we reserve the right to suspend accounts either temporarily or permanently if users violate any section of our Terms of Use. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding

I am rejecting this response because: Thank you for taking the time to give me a deeper explanation. It was mostly false, but it was an explanation that was not robotic like I requested. First off, I’m not sure we are on the same page. I remember on 7/11/asking about the *** bath tissue that I had to buy two of. I was the only person that submitted that receipt. Second, didn’t you understand that I was not aware of the terms of use at that time prior to this? I couldn’t go back in time and change what I did if I was not aware of the terms of use. Fake accounts? How dare you accuse me of creating fake accounts. How did I refer 8+ users if I only have referrals? I was going to have a potential 4th referral, but he got my account deactivated, so it did not go through. If only you would stop being so one-sided and listen to me. I remember cashing out one time; it required me to verify my phone # and deviceTwo of my referrals have already cashed out. That means they’ve verified their accounts and devicesHow can fake people do that? Since you like verifying things so much, why haven’t you verified any of this? In addition, my referrals have offered to contact you to verify themselves. Also, aren’t only (2) accounts able to log in one device? All I can recall is I, my 2nd and 4th referral have logged in using my phone. My account was locked after the 3rd person tried to log in, as stated in the terms of useYou are saying 8+ people have logged into my phone. I don’t think that is possible. Are you suggesting I have 8+ phone lines and/or devices? Unfortunately, I do not have the time or money for that. After doing research, it seems like your company has scammed plenty of people out of their money. If you want to scam people, why don’t you go after bigger accounts? I have seen people with over $5,in their Ibotta accounts. Why don’t you scam them, instead of people with less than $like me? (At the time of deactivation, I had $33)You need to return this money to meI now understand why your company has received an unbelievable amount of bad reviews compared to good ones. Your customer service skills are in serious need of some fine tuning I have posted a review about your company, in over a week it had gained 743+ views. I want to spread awareness of what you are doing to me and make sure future users are aware of your scamming ways But let me guess, you don’t believe I did such a thing. Here is a little tip for you. Why don’t you implement a similar technique to *** It allows friends to help defend and recover a user’s account? It requires 3-friends to help a user do this Have a nice day
Sincerely,
*** ***

Hello, Thank you for your replyUnfortunately, the receipt images are pulled directly from this user's account which is why the user has been deactivatedWe were able to investigate the user's response and find that our Socials Team accidentally provided the incorrect retailer name when sharing why the user was deactivatedWe apologize for the confusion in that matter. Ibotta takes tampered receipts very seriously and is grounds for deactivationIf a user does not tamper receipts in order to fraudulently claim Ibotta offers, the user will not be deactivatedWe hope that this user understands the reasons why their account was deactivated and are available for further questions should they have them. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding
Hello, As stated previously, we have completed the review of your account and have chosen to permanently deactivate your accountAs a reference, we have attached a photo of the submission of a counterfeit receipt. We verified that receipts submitted to us, through your account, violate Ibotta’s Terms of UsePer our Terms of Use, Section 10.1, users may not submit purchase information that is considered one of the following: false, inaccurate, fabricated, counterfeited, tampered with, adjusted, or otherwise artificial or inauthentic for the purpose of seeking to redeem offers with IbottaAdditionally in Section 10.6, we state that users may not attempt to obscure the date on a receiptFor example, we do not accept submissions without any clearly legible date shown or without any date entirely. We work with brands to deliver high-quality rebates to our users, who we pay cash to, for items being purchased and retainedWhen users operate outside our Terms of Use they are breaking this contractIf we allowed our users to continue this behavior we would jeopardize our reputation and relationship with our brand affiliates and other users. We will be unable to reactivate your account at this timeThank you for your cooperation and understanding

It appears that your receipts show multiple transactions per day at the same retailerWe consider this irregular shopping behavior and have reason to believe that these purchases were not made by you, but by other peoplePer Ibotta's Terms of Use, Section 10.2, users may not redeem, or attempt to redeem, Ibotta offers for products that have not actually been purchased and retained by that user.Thank you for your cooperation and understanding

Hello, Thank you for the concern regarding your accountThe user's account has been deactivated for repeat violation of Ibotta's Terms of Use. On 2/20/18, the user's account was locked from withdrawing earningsThe user was sending receipts to Ibotta for items that were not actually
purchased on the receiptIt appears that the user was claiming high value offers that were not present on the receiptOn 3/1/18, the user was granted full access to her account and earnings with the understanding that claiming offers that were not purchased is against Ibotta's Terms of Use. On 3/8/18, the user's account was locked from withdrawing earningsUpon review of the user's account, the user continued the same behavior that she was educated about previouslyFor example, the user sent a *** receipt that the user claimed several offers not present on the receipt and attempted to claim offers that the user did not purchase the correct item in order to redeem the offer. Unfortunately, Ibotta has deactivated the user's account permanently in order to protect it's brands and retailersThe user was educated about inappropriate behavior and was given another chance to earn properly with IbottaHowever, the behavior continued and we must be diligent to our brands and prevent this type of behavior from continuingWe apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate the user's cooperation and understandingThank you
Hello, Thank you for the concern regarding your accountUpon review of your account and your referral, your referral did not use your unique link when signing up for Ibotta on 5/5/The reason that the "new" user did not use your referral link is because the user in question created their
account on 1/22/Therefore, on 5/5/17, the "new"user was simply re-accessing their previous account with Ibotta. Unfortunately, this user is not eligible for a referral bonus as they are not a new userAlso, the "new" user is not eligible for the Welcome Bonus as they did not redeem a Brand Name rebate within the eligible bonus periodWe apologize for the confusion regarding your referral and their accountPlease let us know if you have further questions. Thank you and have a nice day

I am rejecting this response because: I had notified the company that I had submitted the one receipt from *** *** in error. I was not aware that you cannot submit the same receipt a numerous amount of times. With other companies, if you submit a product once, it doesn't let you submit it again. With ibotta, the same item sometimes will show up after a day or so. If the company doesn't want me to be activated, I am requesting to be refunded the remaining amount of $that I had in my account, before Ibotta deativated me without any warning
Sincerely,

Hello, As stated previously, we have reactivated your original account as a one-time courtesy for use with the understanding that future behavior that violates our Terms of Use may result in a permanent suspension of your account. All subsequent accounts created will remain permanently deactivated. We work with brands to deliver high-quality rebates to our users, who we pay cash to, for items being purchased and retained When users operate outside our Terms of Use they are breaking this contract If we allowed our users to continue this behavior we would jeopardize our reputation and relationship with our brand affiliates and other users. Hello, Thank you for the concern regarding your accountUpon review of your account, your purchase(s) are in violation of Ibotta's Terms as well as our rebate stipulations. On 5/11/17, a receipt was submitted from Big Lots for a very high rebate amountUpon review of the "purchase", the purchase is actually a "Lease to Own" purchase which is excluded from the rebateThe rebate details are: "• It may take up to hours for Ibotta to update the status of your rebate• Excludes lease to own purchases• Users may earn up to $dollars for each purchase• Online purchases are not eligible for credit• Rebate excludes all Gift Card purchases• 15% cash back is only valid for the gross merchandise purchasedCash back is not valid on taxes• If a purchase is returned or canceled, your Ibotta account may be adjusted or debited as necessary• Receipts dated prior to 5/1/not validAll receipts must be submitted within one week of the printed receipt date• To receive credit, the submitted receipt must contain a retailer logo, product numbers, product text, total, and transaction number• A rebate is limited to one redemption per user•If your in-store purchase is returned, your earnings will be reversed and your Ibotta account balance will be adjusted accordingly."On the same day, a second receipt was submitted from Big Lots for the same purchase style and was deniedAgain, on the same day, a third "purchase" for eligible items was submitted from Big Lots and the user was creditedAgain, on the same day, a fourth "purchase" was submitted. However, the fourth purchase was an attempt to defraud Ibotta and our rebate by interchanging the top of the third purchase receipt to the bottom half of the initial "Lease to Purchase" receiptIt is plain to see that the user was attempting to provide a different time and receipt type by only capturing the portions of the receipt that would frame it so that the user would receive credit for this purchase that was not in fact a purchaseTherefore, Ibotta is firm in our decision to leave this user's account deactivated as the user clearly attempted to fraud Ibotta by tampering receipts in order to receive rebate credit. Per our Terms of Use, Section 10.1, users may not submit purchase information that is considered one of the following: false, inaccurate, fabricated, counterfeited, tampered with, adjusted, or otherwise artificial or inauthentic for the purpose of seeking to redeem offers with IbottaAdditionally in Section 10.6, we state that users may not attempt to obscure the date on a receiptFor example, we do not accept submissions without any clearly legible date shown or without any date entirely.Thank you for your cooperation and understanding

I am rejecting this response because: Consumers return things, it is the cost of doing business and offering a service like this, this is going to happen. The money was taken back out of my account, what more can be expected? It angers me to no end to think of all the money they have taken from consumers by closing their accounts because they returned something - even when they take their money back out of your account! It is what happens in the retail/consumer world. I would like my $21.50, this is my 3rd request. I'm beginning to think Ibotta is a scam, taking the money from the manufacturers and keeping the money by closing the accounts of many people. Sad
