Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
You claimed that it is the Campaigner's responsibility to fulfill perks, but the policy you sighted does not actually say anything will happen to the Campaign Creator when they don't fulfill perksYou also fully lay the blame at the backer's feet when things fall through, in this case, the Campaign Creator was a trusted member of the Horror Writer's Association when he created his campaign.
After he took 18,dollars from backers, he was kicked out for not fulfilling the perks promised in this campaign, along with doing a lot of other shady aspects about his business and his conductIt was not something anyone could have predicted would have happened
Sincerely,*** ***
We understand the Organizer’s concern, and apologize for any frustrationFunds are typically disbursed on a monthly basis, and within business days of Fundraiser closing- assuming that the bank account information is complete and accurateIt is possible however, for delays to occur due to
incomplete or invalid bank account informationSuch delays as this are outlined in our Help Center: ***
In this Fundraiser’s particular case, the funds were disbursed to the fundraiser’s bank account, using the information they added to their fundraiserHowever, the disbursements were returned with the reason "No Account Found." Usually, this means that the account number provided does not exist or is not on file at the receiving/beneficiary bankIt may be as simple as a typo upon entering that caused the issue
We are typically notified within - days after the disbursement date, at which point we will ask the Organizer to re-submit their bank account informationOnce the campaign owner has updated their bank account information, we attempt to disburse their funds again in the following week’s disbursement round
We are happy to see that this organizer has since updated their bank account informationWe have recently re-disbursed the Organizer’s funds again in the past week and are in contact with the campaign owner directly in order to confirm the receipt of their funds
We appreciate this customer bringing this to our attention.
In reviewing their transaction history, we see they have had a chargeback processing on their transactionHowever, it's status has been updated on Indiegogo this month- after we received confirmation from the payment processor as to
the final outcome of this chargeback.
As the order is reinstated on this backer's account and the campaign, the chargeback is no longer pending or on-hold on the Indiegogo platformThe campaigner and backer are welcome to work out this issue between their two parties
Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: We have all tried to reach out to the campaign owner with no responseAlso I am unaware of any contact information that was provided, none less the ticket provided was not mineAlso the campaign owner violated your own
terms of use in regards to communicationWhen will Indiegogo reach out to the campaign owner on behalf of the disgruntled contributors for an explanation? And if you did, please explain the response you have receivedThank you!Sincerely,*** ***
Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
As per the first attachment a charge for $was made by Indiegogo on September 3, The charge was for the backup camera supposedly to have been shipped by November I received it last week from NondaI contacted Nonda for returning the camera as it did not meet my expectations as described by Indiegogo on their web siteNonda claims I did not order from themPlease see the attachment. Sincerely,Ramana ***
My *** is that indiegogo shields shady business practices like that of *** *** *** with its refund policyCompanies like that give indiegogo a bad reputation You leave me with no means to get refunded...or a finished product which is now obsolete due to too much time passingPeople are misled that their campaign contributions aren't necessarily a donation ...but a purchase for a promised product, on a promised estimated product shipping date Company's like *** lied and do not ship product when promised...only to string along customers for over a year so that they don't have to refund, and no credit card company will assist in a refund because to much time has passedAll *** had to do is string you along and when too much time has passed, they are free and clear to keep all money, and never have to ship out a promised product Indiegogo's policy has created a safe haven for crooked business practices to take advantage of consumers *** also continues to ignore me and does not reply, refund, or acknowledge me creating a terrible indiegogo customer experience full of frustration *** and Indiegogo together have created the worst customer experience I have ever had, with no recourse from a ripped off consumer stand pointHow is this fair? No policy can justify this

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/03/15) */
Indiegogo is a global crowdfunding platform that empowers people to raise funds for the things that matter to themContributing to a campaign on Indiegogo is not the same thing as making a purchase in a storePeople can raise money for
various things, and be at various stages of their projectContributors are backing an idea, not purchasing a pre-made projectLike anyone contributing to an early-stage project, you accept the risk that the project might experience delays, changes to their original vision, or not come to fruitionWe recommend each contributor complete his or her own personal vetting process before deciding to contribute to any campaignWe have tips on how to evaluate a campaign, as a starting point, in our Help Center: http://support.indiegogo.com/entries/XXXXXXXX-how-to-evaluate-a-campaign
Contributions made through Indiegogo are transactions that take place between the campaign owner, contributor, and payment processor, and are non-refundable by Indiegogo, as stated in our Terms of Use (www.indiegogo.com/about/terms.) Therefore, we recommend the contributor reach out directly to the campaign owner if they are interested in receiving a refundWe also understand from this campaign's recent update that they will be working directly with contributors to facilitate a resolution to their concernsWe recommend this customer review said update and get in touch with the campaign owner, directlyThe update can be seen, here: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/nanoplug-the-world-s-first-invisible-hearing-...⇄ /> By creating a campaign on Indiegogo, the campaign owner agrees to use funds and fulfill all perks as stated in their campaignIf, for any reason, they are unable to use Contributions as described in their Campaign, they agree to work with the Contributors to reach a mutually satisfactory resolution, which may include refunding their Contributions
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/03/19) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The company lied right from the start, the NanoPlug team hasn't replied or given any refundsTheir most recent communication was to offer refund taxed very heavily without valid proof or reasonThere is a team of us sharing knowledge on a private forum as in the link to the site on indiegogo has had very good information from one of the NanoPlug members saying he got scammed tooThis of course was all deletedGood thing we created a private forum and kept copies of everything
Please refund me on the same premise you did another forum member, same investigation should yield the same results
"We've finished our initial investigation regarding your disputed transaction of $from INDIEGOGO XXX-XXX-XXXXDuring our investigation, we notified the merchant of your request and asked them to respondAt this time we have either not received a response from the merchant, or the response we received did not validate the chargeAccordingly, we are resolving the dispute in your favorWe have adjusted the temporary credit we previously applied to your account to reflect that it came from INDIEGOGO XXX-XXX-XXXX and have sent the merchant a second notice."
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/03/26) */
We understand this customer has additional concerns regarding this matterThe quote posted from this customer is not from Indiegogo and we cannot comment on messages sent to other contributors by third party sources
That said, as previously outlined, contributions made through Indiegogo are transactions that take place between the campaign owner, contributor, and payment processor, and are non-refundable by IndiegogoOur Terms of Use (www.indiegogo.com/about/terms) states: "Contributions, including the Service Fees portion thereof, are not refundable."
As such, we recommend this customer get in touch with the campaign owner if interested in receiving a refund
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2015/04/02) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The Nanoplug.co website has had all info removed from itFurther, a Whois search, shows the Nanoplug website was closed down so no email could pass *** on March 16, NANOPLUG told people to email her requests for a refund- but obviously now, no mail can pass *** Exhibit Ex d 5a: website as it looked a few days agoAll previous info is now gone
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/XXXXXXXX/Nanoplug/Ex%2003d%205a%20Nano%20Scr...⇄ /> See Exhibit Ex d 5b: website WHOIS analysis from end of February showing nanoplug.co was active
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/XXXXXXXX/Nanoplug/Ex%2003d%205b%20nanoplug.c...⇄ /> See Exhibit Ex d 5c: website WHOIS analysis March showing nanoplug.co was not allowing trafficEmail shutdown
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/XXXXXXXX/Nanoplug/Ex%2003d%205c%20nanoplug.c...⇄ /> Countless people have requested a refund from her, and to date, no one has reported to have received a pennyThe only people who have claimed to have gotten their money back was by the charge card company protecting their customers- not by Nanoplug, and not by Indiegogo
From an update: "...we hired China company who can do that...and it is similar as Bee that has the same functions, the design is similarAlso, aid has the same chip and the same function as well as Bee2." But the included photo was clearly a BEE II!
The Bee II, referenced in text and shown in a photo in the Nanoplug update, is of Chinese origin
It is NOT tiny in size to fit hidden in ear canal, is NOT user programmable, does NOT have rechargeable batteriesThe BEE II is a cheap listening device that is a far cry from the user-
programmable, state-of-the art equipment that purchasers were first shown and promised
BAIT AND SWITCH FRAUD
See Exhibit Ex a: Nanoplug updates showing the switchhttps://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/XXXXXXXX/Nanoplug/Ex%2004%20a%20Nanopl...⇄ /> See Exhibit Ex b: website showing where scammer probably got the image jpeg she used
showing the "new" Nanoplug- which is really just a BEE II
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/XXXXXXXX/Nanoplug/Ex%2004%20b%20Screenshot%2...⇄ /> See Exhibit Ex c: A direct comparison showing Nanoplug updates image and the image of a BEE IIClearly this is the SAME image
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/XXXXXXXX/Nanoplug/Ex%2004%20c%20image%20comp...⇄ /> In fact, when purchased in quantity, the BEE II may be purchased from the Chinese company ALIBABA.COM for only FIVE dollarsYes, FIVE dollars!
See Exhibit Ex d: Alibaba website showing BEE II can be purchased for $in large quantity
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/XXXXXXXX/Nanoplug/Ex%2004%20d%20Alibaba%20Sc...⇄ /> Thus, since evidence suggests that NO working Nanoplug ever existed to start with, the owner
has clearly engaged in a "bait and switch" scamThe bait was a revolutionary NanoplugThe switch was a $cheap BEE II
See Exhibit Ex e: Nanoplug vs BEEWhat was promised vs what is the substitute
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/XXXXXXXX/Nanoplug/Ex%2004%20e%20Nano%20vs%20...⇄ /> I contacted Nanoplug again through the Contact link on Indiegogo and requested a full refundI also sent an email to the advertised addressI have heard nothing back
https://www.indiegogo.com/trust
They claim to be able to detect fraud
They claim to want people to report fraud (Nanoplug people have REPEATEDLY reported this)
They claim to "review" and "take action" but even with all evidence, they refuse to protect those
scammedThere is NO EVIDENCE Indiegogo has done ANYTHING except take people's money
One of the product designers on the team, a Mr*** ***, states that he received someunassembled components but had no means to verify their functionalityHe also states that he was never paid for his work on the project (5%) and now believes his former employers are dishonestHe further stated that he made the videos at the direction of the Nanoplug owner, including the use of actors as opposed to real people with a real Nanoplug to test
See Exhibit Ex c 1: postings by *** ***
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/XXXXXXXX/Nanoplug/Ex%2003c%201%20Jongha%20Po...⇄ /> See Exhibit Ex d: Nanoplug "development team" from Indiegogo site- this info is now GONE.The two people of importance are Nevena Zivic and the designer she *** ***
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/XXXXXXXX/Nanoplug/Ex%2002%20d%20Nanoplug-Tea...⇄ /> The Nanoplug owner actually removed negative comments from her Indiegogo site as an attempt
to stem the growing criticismIncluding and especially, the posted comments of *** *** (her
designer/promoter) who says he now believes he and all of us have been scammed
See Exhibit Ex c (mentioned above): postings by *** ***These postings have all been
deleted and may not be found on the Nanoplug Indiegogo comments page
Further, she has removed access to the videos promoting the productYou can no longer play
them from the Nanoplug sites
Furthermore, I assert that Indiegogo actually FASCILITATES fraudThey encourage people to always "communicate with the project people." But in this case, when buyers asked challenging questions on the Nanoplug public discussion board, noted inconsistencies, requested proof for dubious claims, and even made accusations- the Nanoplug people were allowed to DELETE those comments
This is a contradiction in Indiegogo's stated purpose of communication and protection. And worse still, this action HELPS people commit fraud using IndiegogoIndiegogo is culpable,The platform is RIPE for fraud
When people were reporting to Indiegogo that there appears to be fraudulent activity with Nanoplug, and those reports increased- Why did Indiegogo
allow the Nanoplug people to DELETE the Nanoplug Team page?
thus allowing the scammers to hide their identities? If Indiegogo REALLY wanted to
protect consumers, they would have a mechanism in place to archive evidence and prevent deleting evidence and information by the scammers
And lastly, Mr*** *** did in fact file a fraud report with Indiegogo all the way back on November 21st This again is damning evidence that Indiegogo was warned that that the Nanoplug project
was fraudulent
See Exhibit Ex 06: Indiegogo email to Mr*** (victim) showing they received his fraud report and were aware of potential problems as far back as November 21,
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/XXXXXXXX/Nanoplug/Ex%2006%20First-Red-Flag-I...⇄ /> This was when the fundraising for Nanoplug was still open
As an end result, despite Indiegogo's claims of Trust and Fraud protection, the reality is that
they are assuming no responsibility at all and their claims of protection for users of their site
are worthless and even farcicalAll of the evidence I shown indicates they actually aid
and abet FRAUD! I am not accusing Indiegogo of fraudBut the evidence shows they turn a blind eye and do nothing- thus aiding and abetting the fraud of othersAll while they promise to protect users of their site
Given the fraud described above, I am writing to request redress in the form of a full refund of
the money paid to Indiegogo, Nanoplug's effective representative, promoter and sales portal
Victims of this malicious fraud have been meeting together and sharing information in an effort to get their money back, without whom I would not have had the information provided above and other things not included but links can be provided
Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
Moonshine Crea the originator of this Indiegogo campaign is not responding to my emails or wish to
receive a refund for my contributionIndiegogo should be held accountable since the total amount of contributions Kis huge +$At least Indiegogo should file a class action suite on behalf of their contributors and recover the losses for this kind of fraudAppearantly Indiegogo has had many of these kind doubious campaignersI would not be surprised if this is already known to Revdex.com?
This is already the 2nd time I have been scammed at Indiegogo.
Very disappointed !

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
It's very simple I paid in expectation of receiving goods in the time frame specified in the campaign This has not happened
The campaign owner will not respond to contact or requests for refunds Indiegogo does not offer any recourse for this
Indiegogo indicates the campaign owner recently posted an update explaining the delay Excuses don't get it done The campaign owner posts an "update" about once a month apparently to keep up the illusion that they are actually intending to deliver a product but I no longer think that is the case.
If I ever expected to receive delivery of the computer sticks that I ordered then I would drop the complaint But at this point I and many of the other backers of this campaign simply believe that the campaign owner has no intention of ever supplying the goods we paid for Check some of the comments here: ***
