Management spoke to [redacted] on 10/19/regarding the incident that occurred when trying to utilize a guest passWe apologize for what happened with staff and that issue has been addressedPer his request we have granted him a week guest pass to utilize our facilityWe believe this matter to be resolvedThank you

LA Fitness contacted member regarding his concernsHis personal training agreement includes a voluntary cancelation provision, which affords him the option to unilaterally cancel at any time, for any reason, by paying only 50% of the remaining balance due under the agreementHowever, we offered to reduce the early termination fee from 50% to 25% of the remaining agreement balanceMember elected to take advantage of the reduced cancellation fee and we cancelled the remaining term of his personal training agreement accordingly

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I get everything about that contract and it is clear as glass EXCEPT that I was not given that contract or told about that 50% fee to get out I SPECIFICALLY TOLD THE GENTLEMAN BY THE NAME OF [redacted] THAT I DIDNT NEED A PERSONAL TRAINER AFTER APRIL [redacted] filled out the top portion of that form for me as he asked me those questions and quickly had me sign it I never got a copy He took back the paper After that I signed some boxes on a little computer screen These are clearly on page and You can see the shaded area where my signature is and on page one there is not any shaded area I signed the hard copy on page and page and it must have been from the little computer screenThat checklist was never given to me and I never seen it till I got this email So they can shove that checklist you no where!!!Why couldn't he just be strait forward with me and told me that I was actually signing a month contract after I specifically said and made it very clear that I didn't need a trainer after April The practices were very sneaky and quick Im not paying for this service!!! I really wish I had got a copy of these Terms I signed and I would have read them more in depth at home that afternoon Even in the checklist the third Item specifically states that I'm signing a year contract But I never [redacted] seen it cause I signed a damn [redacted] t pad!! LA Fitness contacted member regarding his concernsWe confirmed that he would in fact be able to use his remaining sessions at any another LA Fitness location and scheduled him with a personal trainer at our [redacted] location

Member purchased personal training services pursuant to a written and fully executed agreement (“Agreement”)The Agreement was for a minimum initial term of months, beginning 1/9/(the “Initial Term”)Member paid a total of $up front, which included the enrollment fee, processing fee and payment for the first month of personal training servicesHe further agreed to make more consecutive monthly payments, in the amount of $240.00, beginning 2/9/17, for the remainder of the Initial TermThese terms are clearly outlined on page of the Agreement and he acknowledged his understanding of these billing terms by initialing three separate sections of the payment schedule descriptions in the AgreementFurthermore, the "Initial Term Acknowledgement" on page of the membership agreement clearly states that "unless cancelled", the agreement converts to a month to month agreement after the Initial Term until written notice of cancellation is providedIn addition, his Agreement included a New Client Checklist which outlined key terms, including his acknowledgement that he received and read a copy of his personal training agreement with the Initial Term and Initial Term Acknowledgement provisionsThis Checklist was reviewed with him at the time of the sale, as acknowledged by his signature and initials on the New Client Checklist (copies of the Agreement and New Client Checklist are included with this response)Thus, he was properly billed under the clear and explicit terms of the Agreement and is not entitled to a refundNevertheless, our District Vice President contact member regarding his concerns and we processed a refund in the amount of $representing three months of duesPlease note that we are not contractually obligated to provide this remedy, but this is being done as a customer service consideration for our member

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I Heard once on February 3rdit did not seem to get anything accomplishedto date 2/I have not heard back From LA Fitness at all Since they are so slow in responding againthe settlements I will repeat againI want a refund for these sessionsall the vp did was try to argue with meand tried to tell me how it was going to be I felt likeI do not want to hear from him again Since I am always so busy at work this time of year I need advanced notice on anythingHow I am keeping track of these calls is that I am using my cell phone call log If proof is needed I can forward it you all he kept say over and over again I was going to get a refund I feel all way around when I call I get the runaround and they are trying to make me mad enough to quit and loose my money I paid out I was told my a customer service manager that they could not take anyone off the schedule for meBut they can take me off the schedule for someone elseand the Customer service is very poor at the [redacted] clubwhen I asked about it all they could do was mumble something to like Igor took you off that was all I heard then I heard it would take to weeks to reschedule me back in I am not trying to be difficult But my job Comes firstthen it is important for me to get home and take care of my dog so I do not have to clean up a messy crate and have to give him a bath so Thursday at was the only time that would work for me I also feel like if they ever do get me scheduled in it will not go well they will barely do what they have to do to get me out of there as soon as they can get me out I would rather after all this have a refund of my sessions left and be done with this Thank you [redacted]

Management spoke to [redacted] father on 3/23/regarding the concerns with the cancellation of [redacted] monthly billed membership [redacted] claims the membership was cancelled in October of and is seeking a refund for the monthly dues billedOur records indicate we did not receive a cancellation request and therefore have continued to bill on a monthly basisLA Fitness provides members with the option to cancel at any LA Fitness location between the hours of AM-PM on Monday through Friday, but we strongly encourage members to send a written cancellation request via certified mail to ensure return-receiptOur cancellation policy is not designed to make it difficult for our members to cancel, but to ensure cancellations are handled properlyNevertheless an immediate cancellation has been processed and no further billing will occurWithout proof of prior cancellation no refund is owed at this time [redacted] will not accept anything less than a refund back to We advised that once proof is provided we would be more than happy to refund any additional months billedNo resolution at this time Thank you

Management contacted [redacted] regarding his request to add on guest privileges, he claims to have not been advised that the time of joining the prices difference should he chose to add the amenity after point of saleAfter much discussion it has been agreed upon to honor his request and add the guest privileges at the point of sale price of $per month in addition to his regular monthly dues of $Member is satisfiedThank you
