Dear [redacted], We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. We have contacted to [redacted] and as per discussion we are processing the refund for Microsoft Office 2013 Home & Business  ($276.99). [redacted] will receive the refund in the next 7-10 business days. We...

thank you for your patience and cooperation. Regards Active Response Team iYogi

I started using iyogi this year and so far have had nothing but a positive experience .I just upgraded from win.7 to win 10 and something went crazy ,my desktop started flashing and I couldn't open any programs. I managed to get to iyogi and give remote access to the tech.It took him maybe ten minutes of checking this and that and in the end he had it running grate. I have to say I had called up [redacted] first for help and after an hour the tech hung up on me. The tech from iyogi was more than patient with me and stayed with it until he resolved the problem. Thank You iyogy.

Review: I signed up for a 5 year service agreement with this company, but within 2 weeks, my computer was infected with another virus. I was under severe duress at the time of my call and it was very difficult to understand the technician,

due to his thick accent. I also did not understand the technical lingo he was using and he also spoke very fast. I was also kept on the phone for over 2 hours. I called to cancel the service, as I was very upset about getting another virus.

I was given a refund ID number and told it would be 5 to 7 business days for the refund to process. This was the end

of October 2015. I contacted iYogi again last week and was told via "chat" that my credit card would be refunded next week. As of 12/*/15, I have no record of my $360 refund on my credit card. I cannot get through to their billing office; they are constantly "experiencing a high call volume". This company should be reported to the Attorney General's office for fraud.Desired Settlement: I want a complete refund of my $360.00 payment before the end of Dec. 2015.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I provided I yogi with my physical address to mail the payment to on 11/**/15 VIA telephone. iYogi did call, but they called my home phone, which I cannot answer because I work full time. The call back number theyleft was the regular customer service #, which is practically impossible to get a live person on the phone. You immediately receive a message "[redacted]" and direct you to contact them viaiyogi.com/chat. This is how I got in contact with Nisar A[redacted] P[redacted] on 11/**/15. He ended up contacting me by telephone at almost 10 p.m. EST and indicated a check would be mailed to [redacted]. I called on 12/*/15 as I haven't received a check. I was told the check was mailed on 12/*/15 and would take 10 business days. I was told the check was issued by Citibank. As of 12/**/15, I have yet to receive thecheck. I don't know where it was mailed from; United States or out of the country. If it was mailed in the U.S. via regular [redacted] service, I should have received it by now.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Review: I purchased Anti=Virus and support Doc through iYogi for 3 years and for the last 5 days I've tried to get ahold of them either on the phone or online as my iYogi software has stopped working and shows corrupt. It appears they have fallen off the face of the earth. They're online chat server is offline or has been taken out of service, their phone is answered by a generic recording and places you on hold with no one answering the phone (I left it on for over 2 hours with no one picking up the line, just kept hearing the recording. I paid for the 3 years this year for both products that should be good until 2018 and now it appears they're out of business.Desired Settlement: Either confirm they are out of business and where can we take our claims for possible reimbursement or is there another company taking over for them. Would like the remote tech support but if they're out of business, is there a filing to recoup my out of pocket dollars?

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

I am trying to reach them by 2 cell phones with 2 different numbers over 1 hour and nobody answers me. I will not renew my contract with them anymore.

The technical support of iYogi is a scam. They put the customers on hold and don't answer the phone. Their TechGenie security doesn't work properly. If you are lucky and get a technician on the phone, then, after his assistance you have to reinstall everything he's uninstalled by mistake. The customer service representatives are rude and ignorant. After each assistance, the technicians push you to write a positive review, and you do this as you're afraid that a negative review will cost you additional problems with your computer.

I am satisfied with my service through iYogi and will continue to do business with them. I like the reminders to do a monthly computer check; and if one does not update for a while, they will even give a phone call.

Review: Iyogi got $750.00 of my money for 5 years service since 2015 I have not had the service a year and now when you call iyogi you wait on the phone for a long time sometime hours then when its your turn for service iyogi hang up on the customer. Now No one will answer the phone at all.And they detroyed my computer and had the nerve to tell me I need to purchase another computer. Because they could not fix it. I would like a refund. But all of a sudden no one will answer the phone. My account number with iyogi is: [redacted]....ThankyouDesired Settlement: Refund

Review: Using I Yogi created many computer issues. So much so, that I stopped using them and paid for a different service. A few days ago, the I Yogi rep called me and I told him I do not want to use their service. He said that he was calling to give me a refund because they are acknowledging that their software caused problems. He wants me to download some software, under his direction. I told him that I do not want to do this and I do not want a refund. I have asked that he not call me again. They keep calling me. I would like them to stop. The software that they want me to download gives a warning that this could be harmful and may be a scam. I do not want to do it and told him that.Desired Settlement: Please have them stop calling me.

Dear [redacted],We thank you for keeping us notified about customer complaints. We would like to bring this to your attention that we have not called [redacted]. It seems that she has been approached by someone trying to defame iYogi's name. We would also like to inform you that we do not call any of our customers to give them refund unless its the customer's request. As you are aware that in order to process a refund, no software needs to be downloaded nor customer's computer access is required. So this was clearly someone trying to gain [redacted] computer' access. We request [redacted] not to provide access to anyone on such terms nor entertain any such calls claiming to be from iYogi. If required she can directly call at our Customer Service Toll-Free-Number (###-###-####) to get in touch with us. Furthermore, as per the request by [redacted], we have added her iYogi account to our Do Not Call list and she will not be receiving any calls from us.RegardsActive Response TeamiYogi

Review: I informed the iYogi Incorporation in January of 2014 that I will be out of the U.S for a year on assignment and so I will not be available for any technical support for my computer. In July of 2015, iYogi illegally withdrew $249.99 from my [redacted] Credit card without my authorization, even though they had convinced me initially that they do not keep customers' credit card numbers on file. Since I was out of the U.S and no longer had any U.S address, I was unable to receive monthly statements from [redacted] for me to have known about the illegal withdrawal. As a result, late fee of $35 was charged to my account every month, including interest charges. I returned to the U.S in February of 2015, unaware of what was going on. At the end of February and also on March [redacted] 2015, iYogi called to remind me to purchase the Windows 8.1 software to upgrade my computer and I was charged $170.99, which I later found out to be a very exorbitant amount compared to the price in local stores here. In April 2015, I received a letter from a Collection Agency for an outstanding debt of $475 on my [redacted] credit card account. Knowing that I had paid all of my credit card debt in full before leaving the U.S in 2014, I rejected that claim of owing [redacted]. An investigation was started and [redacted] informed me that iYogi had withdrawn $249.99 from my card in July of 2014 and since I did not pay that amount, late fees and interest charges had accrued on the account to the present amount of $475. I immediately contacted iYogi to ask for explanation about the unauthorized withdrawal from my credit card and also reminded them that they had lied to me about not keeping credit card numbers on file. They told me that they did not keep my credit card on file but that the money was withdrawn by [redacted] that handles their finances because maybe they thought that I had Automatic service renewal after my contract with them ended in 2014. I requested that they pay the outstanding amount to [redacted] because they had ruined my credit. They agreed to send me a Check for the $249.99 withdrawn but I told them that they had to pay directly to [redacted] and not to me, since I was not going to pay the remaining $225 for late fees and interest charges. When iYogi was contacted by [redacted] for the illegal withdrawal, they informed [redacted] that I had Automatic service renewal with them and that I am currently an active customer with them and even purchased the Windows 8.1 software from them in early March this year. [redacted] wrote to inform me that they had closed the case based of the information received from iYogi and so I was now liable for the outstanding amount of $475. Since that amount has not yet been paid, it will continue to grow with the monthly late fee of $35. I have been in almost daily contact with iYogi and all they want to do is to send me a Check for the $249.99 that they withdrew from the credit card and I have informed them over and over that a check in my name cannot be cashed by [redacted] and that will not work. Since notifying iYogi in April, the situation has stalled and now my excellent credit history has been ruined, my card has been revoked by [redacted], and they have informed me that my chances of ever doing business with [redacted] again are very slim. I am not prepared to pay $225 for late charges that I did not incur. I have no clue what to do to get iYogi to take responsibility for their fraudulent action and pay the outstanding amount in full.Desired Settlement: I need for iYogi to take full responsibility for payment of the unauthorized withdrawal from my credit card, as well as payment for the late charges and fees incurred on my account.

Response:

Dear [redacted],Thanks for the complaint notification. The complainant states that iYogi tried to charge an unauthorized payment from her debit card. We would like to to bring to your attention that we send an email notifying our customers about the auto renewal. The same email has an opt-out option and the auto renewal is carried forward only for the customers who do not opt-out. As we did not receive any response from the complainant so we initiated the automatic renewal charge for her existing subscription with iYogi. We understand that the customer had moved out of the country however we do believe that she had access to her emails for that time period. As far as the amount charged is concerned we have refunded that in full. We shall not be held responsible for the customer for not keeping in touch with her bank people. We believe most of the communications between anybank and it's customer happen over the emails. So we think the customer should have received emails from her bank regarding any transaction that would have taken place. We believe we have done whatever was required of us. We have respected the customer's decision of cancelling the subscription and acquiring a complete refund of the amount charged. Therefore, we humbly request you to close this case.We thank the Revdex.com for keeping us informed on real customer issues.RegardsART, iYogi

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I have just called right now and spoken with a [redacted] Credit Card Representative, [redacted], on ###-###-#### and I was told that no payment has been received so far from iYogi.Furthermore, the explanation given to the Revdex.com by iYogi is totally bogus. I started business with iYogi in 2012. If they had a policy to send out emails for renewal of membership, how come they never sent me that type of email in 2013 and 2014 when I was present within the U.S, instead they called me by phone repeatedly to convince me to renew my membership? Secondly, I informed iYogi at the end of January 2014 before leaving the U.S that I will be gone from the U.S for a year and that they will not be able to contact me at all for any type of service because I will be disconnecting my phone and internet account with [redacted] since I would not have the money to pay to keep thoseaccounts open for a year. Having heard that, they conveniently decided to illegally withdraw funds from my account, hoping that I might not discover it. Fortunately for me, my account balance with [redacted] was zero dollars before leaving and so the illegal transaction was very evident. When an email account is closed, any correspondence to that account will be returned to the sender by the internet Postmaster as "Undelivered Mail". If it is true, which I doubt, that they sent me an email even after informing them that I will not be available for service after leaving the U.S, did the returned email not ring a bell that it was not delivered to me? So why proceed to illegally withdraw funds from my card if the email was undeliverable?Since my credit card account was paid in full before leaving and I knew that I would not be making any credit card purchases from a rural area in [redacted], I had no reason to even give [redacted] any new email address to contact me. I had no U.S address after I left and no reason to expect mails from [redacted] since I had a zero balance with them. With the illegal transaction by iYogi in July of 2014, [redacted] now had reason to send me monthly statements, which were returned to them since I had no U.S postal address. Not being able to contact me by email, phone or postal mail, the illegal withdrawal started generating late fees and interest fees. When I discovered the illegal transaction by iYogi in April of 2015, iYogi told me that they could refund the $249.99 that was withdrawn illegally but not the incurred late fees and interest charges. The total amount on my credit card was now $475.00, inclusive of the fees. So if iYogi told me that they would only pay back $249.99, then I wonder why they told the Revdex.com that the amount has been paid in full. Can they please give the DATE when they paid any amount to the [redacted] credit card? Can they also indicate the exact AMOUNT that was paid to [redacted] that [redacted] has no record of?I am very disappointed because I reluctantly typed in my credit card information to iYogi after I was seriously deceived that they do not keep credit card numbers on file but yet they managed to still have my card number on file to make such huge illegal withdrawal. I have never paid that amount at any time as membership. The largest amount paid has been $169.99; so why this huge amount illegally and in my absence? That is the question.Sincerely,[redacted]

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Business

Response:

Dear [redacted],Thanks for the notification. We have already said enough about this case and don't want to drag it further. The refund cheque for the amount charged ($249.99) has been initiated and will be dispatched any moment now. The customer should expect it to get delivered at her mailing address in the next 12-14 working days. Secondly as mentioned in our previous response, the customer has been provided with a free 6 months of Unlimited tech support on her computer. Start date [redacted] June 2015 and it ends on [redacted] December 2015. The customer can call us anytime during this period and avail tech assistance. We sincerely request the Revdex.com and the customer to close this complaint now and thank everyone involved in passing on the communications.RegardsART, iYogi

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. As you can clearly see, today is July [redacted] but according to iYogi, my so-called unlimited tech support starts from June [redacted] before the matter was even resolved. The resolution is not satisfactory to me but however, I have decided to declare the matter as resolved because I have already proved my point to the Revdex.com about how fraudulent iYogi is, as a company. Please do me and others a favor by publishing my complaint on your webpage so that others would be warned. Thank you very much for all of your assistance.

Sincerely,

We signed up for a year support when using PC Mover to move my wife's old computer to a new one. Support was for 1 year included with the PC Mover. At that time, there was a persistent effort to SELL more coverage for additional computers, and for additional time. This month (Jan 2016) we had an issue with IE not working. Call to iYogi, resulted in about 30 minutes wait time. Finally when Tech Answered, the phone connection was poor, and the Tech was hard to understand. Again very persistent on trying to Up Sell, services for more computers, more time, and even an Anti-Virus program, although I already had one. Finally he did fix the problem, however it was about an Hour and a Half total time, (including wait time) that could have been fixed in 5 minutes of talk time. There are better support services out there.

I am appalled at the level of horror stories on here. I wish I would have read these reviews BEFORE I lost $500 to these guys. iYogi was able to talk me into signing up with them initially by offering some free tech support. Once they gained access to my computer, they showed me a multitude of things that were wrong with it. Unfortunately, I was not sure what all of these things were, so I was suckered in, like many of you. I can only hope that this reaches you before you make a similar mistake and lose money.

I was able to follow the advice from other people that were scammed and used the [redacted] people that were suggested to get this software cleaned out. James was able to get me a refund on the iYogi support services and I was able to get my money back within a few weeks. Luckily, that was not an issue and I was taken care of in the long run.

If you haven’t hired iyogi, DO NOT. If you have iyogi, act fast. The software that they install on your computer opens it up to viruses and malware attacks. I actually contracted a virus (or it was already there and not cleaned up by iyogi,) that wiped out my emails and caused the computer to have trouble opening up. They wiped out my existing virus protection in favor of theirs, which did NOT help prevent me getting infections at all.

If you have given iYogi money, follow some of the suggestions here, or contact someone to help get it back. Safepcfix seems to be American. I did call them twice and they were aware of the iyogi software and knew what to do. Yes, it took a couple hours, but they did all of it for me and I wasn’t tied up for very long at all.

If you decide to keep iyogi, which if you’ve read any of these reviews, you will get rid of them ASAP, be careful when they have access to your computer. I’ve seen my technician going through picture folders and file folders called “taxes 2013, 2014, and 2015.) I am thinking they were interested in seeing my tax return documents which have personal information on them. This could have been a potential identity fraud issue. I immediately took control and shut off the machine when this happened.

Tread lightly folks. Don’t become a statistic!

Looking for [redacted] technical support, I got iyogi instead. Thinking it was connected with [redacted], I gave them control of my computer for almost two hours. Then they demanded $149 for services. When I refused they made it so I could not access my computer. I think they hijacked [redacted] and now I have a huge mess.

Review: August **,2015 contacted for computer virus protection. Paid $14*.** for one year for complete protection. September *, 2015 had issues, had to purchase Tech Genie Absolute to protect Drivers. Should have been informed when did original purchase. Started getting pop ups end of February and then March regarding Live Dock for Tech Genie not working. But never could get ahold of Iyogi. Finally on March **, 2016, talked with Vivek Jaiswol. He stated my subscription for Live Dock had expired but if I paid $180.00 he could uninstall and reinstall new Live Dock. He uninstalled original expired version but when he tried to use a validation number for new installation, would not accept. He said they were having issues but a rep would be there on April [redacted] to fix. Tried contact April [redacted] through [redacted], no one ever pick up call on hold, and getting regular pop ups stating Live dock not connected. Finally reached person on April [redacted] at 3:32 p.m. He was going online to take control of my computer but never provided technician code. Phone showed still connected, he never came on phone. Waited 45 minutes. Hung Up. Recalled and waited another hour, never pick up. April *th tried calling, all 6 numbers none of them ever connected. Never even rang. On April *, 2016 filed a dispute with credit card company as never got Live Dock installed but paid for. Iyogi has all my phone numbers and email, and they have never tried to contact me to install.Desired Settlement: I would like to have iYogi call me, and install Live Dock for Tech Genie Optimizer so my computer will be completely safe. But once this is done, I will never do business with this company again. Not being able to reach anyone 24X7 does not provide customer service, and a feeling that I am actually being protected when I go onto the internet. The numbers also changed from September to March, and a new number was provided, but I was only told there were issues. What issues???

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: It should not have taken a complaint to have iYogi call me back. The minute the customer service rep realized he lost the call I should have been called back. It has taken far too long to receive this response. Review: RE: Issue with sale and subsequent billing for a Microsoft Office product by the IYOGI tech advisor on ** October [redacted] for [redacted]

Dear Sir or Ma’am,

On or about 19/** October **15 my home personal computer was infected with a virus/worm/attack recognized by “iexplore-extoff” which was followed by a pop up warning for me to contact [redacted] at ###-###-####. My family is supported by a 2 year I Yogi contract; therefore, in lieu of contacting the recommended service provider by the pop up, I contacted I Yogi. On the [redacted] of October they were extremely helpful and removed the infected files from my computer remotely.

The technician did recommend that I purchase a Microsoft certified package at the cost of $288.99. According to the technician the package would provide for me the most up to date operating system for my home computer. At the time and to date I am contracted with a monthly Microsoft package with provides immediate updates via internet. I agreed to purchase the product recommended by the IYogi technician.

I paid for the Microsoft package via [redacted]; the purchase was validated by a third party or supervisor via telephone. I was due to receive the package within 10-** days of purchase. As of ** December I have not received any package of software for my use.

Thereby, I request immediate reimbursement to the same [redacted] in the amount of $288.99 and that any outstanding order for such package be cancelled based on the following: (1) excessive amount of time for product delivery; (2) no longer in any need of product; (3) unnecessary sales of product outside of the scope of the call and support needed from I Yogi. The charge on my credit card statement reads simply:

Review: iYogi is based in Gurgaon, India but has a US headquarters at the entered address. During a phone conversation on 10/**/15 with an iYogi Complaint/business Representative I informed the Rep. that I wanted to cancel their unsatisfactory services and requested a refund. I was assured by by the representative that I would receive a full subscription refund and a check would be issued in 7 to 10 business days. Since the check had not arrived, I called iYogi again (spoke with a person named Anker? - also with the Complaint/business department) who verified the check had not been sent . He again requested the mailing information and assured me the check would be sent in the next 7 to 10 business days. While on the pone with Anker, I asked to speak with his supervisor. He said the supervisor was busy but would call me in the next 1/2 hour. I'm still waiting for that supervisors call.

I wish I had read the reviews and [redacted] report on iYogi before I had signed up with them. If I had read them I would not have subscribed to iYogi services.Desired Settlement: Send the refund as promised and delete my account.

Sincerely, The check has been received.

First of all, all representatives are of an [redacted] descent and are VERY hard to understand. Second, when you have a problem, they always try to get you to buy an additional product and they do NOT like to take no for an answer. They keep on hounding you to buy. When you ask to speak to a supervisor, you are given the run-around on that as well! I ordered 2 products in early August, which were supposed to arrive on or before August **, 2015. I never received those products. I finally called on November * to get a refund. The first person I talked to asked if he could call me back in 30 minutes. He never called! 45 minutes later I again contacted the company through their online chat at [redacted]. I proceeded to chat with a representative telling him exactly what I wanted which was a refund for products not received. It took 24 minutes for him to find out that the product had never shipped. Even though I had stated VERY clearly that I did not want the product, he said that the product would come to me within 10 business days. When I again said that I did not wish to receive the product, he offered me a discount! (I had already told him that I had received the product from another vendor!) Finally, he said that I would be getting a refund. The whole dialogue took 42 minutes!!!! I would recommend that NO_ONE ever get involved with this company!!!!!

Each time I am told that they are having a problem with the warehouse; or something to that effect. The last call was made about 2 weeks ago, and was told that the computer had been sent. I am of the impression that this company is fraudulent. I either want the computer for which I have paid, or I want my money returned.Desired Settlement: I want the computer I ordered; or return my money

Review: We purchased a 5 year Iyogi technical support in October 2014 which should cover to October 2019 but they then charged us another $360.00 in October 2015 stating we were due. After more research we found that to be false and when asked for our $360 refund, they said it would be mailed in 10 to 14 business days. We are still waiting and have contacted them numerous times. We then closed out all Iyogi on our computer on March **, 2016 as it was only slowing down and causing multiple problems on our computer and technical support was not being of much help.Desired Settlement: We would like the $360 credit we have been waiting for in addition to the remaining balance of our 5 year plan after closing out Iyogi on our computer on 3/**/16 for $262.35 for a total refund of $622.35.
