Review: Due to the fact that iyogi was unable to resolve my computer problem, earlier this year, and because they offer satisfaction guaranteed, I requested a refund of my subscription in the amount of $200.00 on Sept *, 2015. I was told that I would receive my refund in approximately 10 business days. I did not receive the refund and called back to check the status 9/**/15 for which I was told I would receive it by 10/*/2015. I did not receive it and called back 10/*/15 - I was told a new check had been reissued and "I should receive it in 5-7 working days". I did not receive it and called back 10/**/15 and was told that [redacted] issued a check on 10/*/15 and I should receive it by [redacted] or [redacted]. I did not receive it and called back 10/**/15 and was told to call on Monday the [redacted] and speak with a supervisor. I did call 10/**/15 and spoke with Christopher and he said the investigation has to be completed - surrounding the first check that was issued and that I should receive a check around 11/*/15. I did not receive the check and called back - spoke with Ripon B. and he told me I should receive it by 11/**/15, which I did not. Since that time I did have a couple of online chats ( phone lines too busy ) and was told the same thing - "check should come in a week". To this day I have not received the refund nor have I heard any response from iyogi. I have been very tolerant up until now and I feel that iyogi has been very unprofessional - gave me the run around.Desired Settlement: Refund – of $200.00 - the amount paid for services not delivered or were unsatisfactory.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:I did receive a check for $79.99 however, that was a refund for a software program, for which I was billed for on 8/**/2014 that did not function to my satisfaction. I am requesting a refund of $200.00 which was a subscription charge also generated on 8/**/2014 - these are two seperate charges - The subscription did not fulfill my needs and was not satisfactory. Therefore I am and have been requesting a refund of the subscription charge since October 2015.Sincerely,[redacted]

This complaint has not been resolved and I doubt if they will ever resolve it as they just keep giving me the run around. I believe they have never had any intentions of honoring their satisfaction agreement and that they will never refund my subscription fee. Therefore, buyer beware of this company.

Review: I purchased a 5 year Exclusive FDS Plan for 5 years on 8/*/15 for support for up to five devices by iYogi for $360.00. I was harassed by sales and unhappy with the responses from iYogi when I complained about phone calls from people saying they were from iYogi so I cancelled my contract on January **, 2016.

I contacted iYogi on January **, 2016 and was told I would get a refund of $210.00. I have not received a refund.

I contacted iYogi on February **, 2016 and and talked to someone named Vikas and was again told that the refund would come and Vikas gave me a transaction ID. I have not received a refund.

I contacted iYogi on March *,2016 and was told to send an email to customer service regarding the refund which iYogi said was processed on February **, 2016. Received an auto reply email said that I would be contacted by a customer service representative within 24-48 hours and if necessary they would forward my request to the relevant department for action. I did not receive any more communications from iYogi.

I checked with my bank and the refund has not been deposited to my credit card account.. I again sent an email on March **, 2016 to [redacted] and I only received a repeat auto response from iYogi saying that I would be contacted and they would forward my request to the relevant depart for action.

Attempts to contact iYogi on May *,2016 have been unsuccessful. Phone calls result in a busy signal or a message to go to a website to contact them and when I tried to contact them on the website I got an error message.

I would like my refund.

I was hired as a subcontractor to perform a field service. The customer was not at home at the time of my visit/appointment,which was confirmed beforehand by telephone,They still owe me a payment of 50.00$ regardless, which they have not paid,It was due Oct[redacted] 2015.

I am very happy with the IYogi support. Their technical expertise has helped me recover from software viruses. They also restored my system remotely when I was completely shut down from an automatic incomplete windows upgrade.

Review: Everytime I call this company I have bought and paid for service. The last time I was assured that all 6 of my computers would be cover for the next 3 years and now I seem to have a problem again and they are attempting to sell me another 199.99 in services, after I had been assured I wouldn't have to pay for another thing!Desired Settlement: That they simply deliever on there promise of coving my computer and not have to pay for additional services!

(Aug. *, 2015)I bought a one year subscription for $149.99, they wanted to sell a 5 year subscription for another $230. I could not at this time. IYogi guaranteed at the end of one year they would give me the opportunity to upgrade to the 5 year subscription for another $230.

IYogi said I needed another 2TB of external storage and wanted to sell the storage device to me for $200+ and send it to me. I said "no" I would purchase the item locally. The device was bought for a third of the cost locally. During this same conversation we set up a time the following week and they would go through the steps how to install the external hard drive.

IYogi did not call on Aug. **, 2015.

I called Aug. **, 2015 and saw I needed to download a support app. I could download, the zip would not open. So I contacted by way of "chat".

IYogi said my account was pending and I needed to upgrade by paying $230+ for 5 years before the price went up. I could not seem to get though to them that they had guaranteed me a price freeze for one year. I would have the opportunity to upgrade at the end of one year.

I cannot even access my account for one year.

The only way to resolve this is to cancel my one year subscription. I do not want to work with IYogi in anyway. I do NOT trust them.

Review: I PURCHASED A 3 YEAR CONTRACT IN 2014. I USED IT TWICE AND THEN EVERY TIME I CALL I THEY PUT ME ON HOLD FOR 30-60 MINUTES LISTENING TO MUSIC . THEN WHEN THE MUSIC ENDS NO ONE PICKS UP AND THERE IS JUST SILENCE. A FEW TIMES I HEARD A CLICK AS IF SOMEONE PICKED UP AND PUT ME ON HOLD AGAIN. THERE FOR I PAID FOR A 3 YEAR SERVICE THAT I CAN NOT USE, BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT REPOND. THEY ALSO CHANGED THEIR PHONE NUMBER AND DID NOT EMAIL ME TO INFORM ME, I HAD TO SEARCH ONLINE APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES UNTIL I WAS ABLE TO LOCATE A NUMBER WHICH AS I EXPLAINED ABOVE IS NOT RESPONDING TO MY CALLSDesired Settlement: I WISH TO BE REIMBURSED FOR THE TOTAL AMOUNT I PAID , SINCE THEY ARE NOT PROVIDING ME WITH THE SERVICES THET OFFERED

Sincerely,

Review: Review: I purchased Anti-Virus and Support System through iYogi for 5 years. When I tried getting in touch with them today, none of their phones went through - tech number ###-###-#### states number no longer in service, and the customer service number does not go through The online iYogi icons have disappeared and software has stopped working and shows corrupt. It appears they're out of business. They're online chat server is offline or has been taken out of service, I started the plan in July of 2015 and paid via credit card for the 5 years $479.98) for both products - that should be good until 2020 and now it appears they're out of business. In November 2015 I purchased a Windows 10 Flash Drive Boot-up Device for $41.99 which I didn't receive.

Business Response:Desired Settlement: Confirm they are out of business and where can we take our claims for possible reimbursement or is there another company taking over for them. Would like the remote tech support but if they're out of business, is there a filing to recoup my out of pocket dollars?

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

I purchased software and hardware from iyogi in June and September of 2015. I have not received anything from them in spite of numerous phone calls to them and them assuring me I would get what I paid for. Now I cannot even contact them because the number I normally call has a recording telling you to go to their chat website which doesn't work. I complained about this about 6-8 weeks ago and received a call from them a week or two later. They said they would refund my money within 10 days and asked me to change my review. I asked for a phone number to call them back if I didn't get the checks (requested they credit the card I used and he said they cant do it that way), and was informed that he would call me to make sure I got the checks. To date, I have not received a dime and have not gotten any phone calls. I have used iyogi for years but never bought much from them. I will never use them again. DO NOT TRUST THESE CON ARTISTS!

Review: I subscribed to iYogi a about 45 days ago. They fixed the problem. They insisted I purchase McAfee antivirus. Since that purchase I have had nothing but problems. Now on June **, 2013 I called them because the virus was back in my computer. They hung up on me. I am unable to connect to their service. I have been on hold on the phone for over 45 minutes. Now I have to spend more money to undo what they did.Desired Settlement: I want my money back for their services and McAfee antivirus program

they did not try to contact me because im at my phone 99 percent of the time and did not hear from them until I wrote to the Revdex.com. at that time they only offerd a partial refund and did not specify how much. the couple times I did use them my problem was not resolved (VERY HARD TO UNDERSTAND). last time I tried to call (two days) I got no answer.

I asked for someone who spoke better english but they would not accomodate me. bottom line is its very hard to do buisness if you cant communicate. I am not satisfied with any aspect of I yogi and want my full refund returned.

Response:

Dear [redacted],Thank you for notifying us of this complaint again. We would like to reiterate what we touched on in one of our previous responses that the customer had asked for the cancellation of his services when there were only 7 months left on his two year contract. We always try to provide the best possible service to our customers and in case they don't like it we respect their decision of whether they want to continue with us or not. We have done the same here and refunded more than half of the money paid to us even though 17 of the total 24 months of the contract had already been used up. We think we have gone well and beyond our refund policies in bringing this close to a closure. That's the best we can do as a business. We sincerely request the Revdex.com to consider the above mentioned points and close this case.ThanksRegards[redacted]

Review: This morning I contacted help on HP computer and IYogi answered. They scanned my computer and said I had virus and many errors. I could not print on my computer or send e-mails. I paid the $199.00 to have it fixed. They were going to clean it out. I could not stay on the line for the full 45 minutes so they said I could call back and reconnect for repair. I was given a case number [redacted]. When I called back a very rude tech person screamed at me and was very rude. He said he was going to set my system restore back one week. When it came back on I had no screen or sound. My computer does not work at all now. The case number I was given was [redacted]. I am in tears. I am 82 years old and feel scammed. Review: I agreed to a $200.00 computer support plan for 1 year and a technician remotely took over my computer for 4 hours and then stopped because his shift ended asking me to call back the following day.

I did call back-another technician who went through exact same steps as previous tech all the while trying to sell other products. when I declined other services such as different security, software upgrade and extended warrenties he kept asking why wouldn't I consider these? Very high pressure and never did complete task. Of course I never called back again either. I feel completely duped and stupid to have fallen for this con. I tried to complete their survey of their performance but when I select submit I am directed to a page that says I don't have the credentials to be there. Yet another farce.Desired Settlement: Just would like my credit card debited and to forget I ever got involved with this scam!

Review: After stopping my request for their services this company has started harassing me with phone calls from ###-###-####. I filed a complaint with the FCC. This company switched the phone number to ###-###-####. The phone message is incorrect with the information they provide. If you call the number you will not connec you with a live persont. They call at different hours of the day. They have called my home phone and within a minute call my cell phone. I have received over 30 calls from them in the last month and a half. I called their regular business number and have asked them to leave me alone and stop calling me. They haven't stopped. As far as a health problem they are waking my from my nap during the day. I am a 74yr old man and am a cancer survivor with high blood pressure. It's affecting my health as I don't get the rest I need.Desired Settlement: Stop them from doing business in this country because of their poor business practices. It's obvious they are not from this country.

Response:

Dear Revdex.com,

Review: On Jan **, 2014 we contacted iyogi because we were looking for a computer with windows 7 as opposed to windows 8. We spoke to rep. [redacted] about getting a computer with windows 7. He said he can assist us. He found a computer on his system that had windows 7 for the price of $549.99. We were interested in the computer if it had at least 500 MG hard drive, 4MG ram and a DVD/CD writer and reader along with wireless network capability. He said it had all of these features. We decided to purchase that computer under that agreement and requested a e-mail confirmation of the spesifications we discussed and agreed on. He charged our credit card for the amount of $549.99 and said he would send us the e-mail to confirm the purchase and everything we discussed. Days passed and we never received an e-mail. When we finally received an e-mail on Jan [redacted] 2014 it simply stated the computer model and the price we paid, no specifications. We called several times after that to have the specifications e-mailed to us. Nothing was emailed. The last time we spoke to them on that issue, we were told the computer is being shipped and given a tracking # from fed-ex and still no e-mail on the specifications discussed. The next day the computer arrived. We set up the computer and realized that it had no wireless networking capability and the DVD drive can only read and not write or burn disks. The computer as it was send to us is about $350.00. When we contacted them about not having wirelss capability or DVD writting capability, they told us to buy a wireless adapter and that would give us wireless networking cability ($40.00 additional charge that they will not pay). When we called about the DVD not being able to write they were offering to give us a $75.00 discount so we can purchase an external disk drive. At that time we realized that this was bad business and we told them we wanted to terminate our business with them and return the computer. They said they will e-mail us a mechant return # so we can return the computer, but it never came. Our last conversation with them was that the mechant return # was unable to be generated and we were told to return it to a NY address [redacted]. We were also told that we will receive a e-mail confirmation that the cost of return shipping will be refunded to us.. We never received such e-mail. As it stands we paid $549.00 for a old model computer with no wireless network capability or DVD writing abilities, we almost purchased a wireless adapter for $40.00 and now are going to pay shipping and handling to return the computer plus an additional charge for insuring it through the mail with signature required on delivery. Our customer account # is [redacted]. Our order # is [redacted].Desired Settlement: A complete refund plus cost of shipping and handling to return the computer.

Dear Revdex.com,

Review: Company went on my computer (with my permission) to investigate a problem. Prior to going on they assured me they would not change setting. I was on the phone with a technician and he told me no changes would be made without my permission. I declined any further service. They did something to the computer and now I cannot get rid of their program. The program keep popping up.Desired Settlement: Pay for a reputable service to remove their product and repair any damage to the computer.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

The consumer called and stated that the issue has been resolved.

Sincerely,

I paid , in the last 3 to 4 years for iYogi services. I had Total Defense Virus protection and iYogi removed it. I thought they were fixing my computer. I paid $78 initial yearly service, computer was not fixed. I paid an additional $139 for 1 year contract for iYogi to fix my computer for free for 1 year, still computer problems. I paid over $200 for a Windows 8.1 and was told my computer would be like "brand new" if I purchased this program. iYogi has never fixed my computer in the 3-4 years I've had their service. Since I've had them, my computer has never worked correctly and when I call them for help, they want to sell me something else! My computer works for a time and then I begin to have problems again, this has been continual, very frustrating! The last time I called they wanted to sell me a $199 program....of course, I said no. Their customer service is located in India and I can't understand what most of the technicians are saying. I finally went to a different technician here in the United States and he said my computer had been so messed up it's going to take awhile to fix. This person is a family friend and was able to take iYogi off of my computer and fix it.....horrible experience! I just "wrote" my expenses off as a bad experience. I continually got excuses from iYogi as to why they couldn't fix my computer correctly, even though I signed up for a yearly maintenance program.

Review: I've just read all the complaints about iYogi and glad that I'm not alone. Ever since spending the $169 fee(Sept.2012) for a one year of service for my wife's laptop. My computer had a virus, so I contacted Dell and they suggested iYogi. They were very helpful at first. Two months later I contacted them about an issue with the computer, it was suggested that I pay an additional service fee so they could go on my computer monthly, rather than my wife calling in. So I just paid $169 and they want me to cough up another $59, and also suggested I get rid of my McAfee service and use theirs for an additional fee. Why is the technical department trying to sell me additional services? They probably get a commission. So I field a complaint with a supervisor. A few months later my wife was having trouble with the sensitivity of the mouse pad on the laptop. Still happening to this day, they couldn't fix it. Two days ago we received a phone call from iYogi saying that our service had just expired on July [redacted]. My wife told them no she wasn't happy with the service we received. A few minutes later we tried to shut down her computer, it would not, no safe mode nothing(I'm very suspicious). So she called them back, they told us they would help, we talked to customer service and before they transferred us to tech support my wife asked when our service expired, they stated October [redacted], wait didn't someone just call and say it expired. He said no we have until October [redacted] and that must've been a phony call we got. Now to Tech support, he proceeded to help my wife with the computer. While on the phone my wife asked him when our service expired he said Sept [redacted], what??? Three different responses from three different people. I called the number from another phone that called earlier. A message came on saying this is iYogi process department, no one answered was too late in the evening. So they do exist. The tech support guy tells us that they don't have any such department. Lies, more lies. I ask him to have a supervisor contact me the next day, told him three times. He put it in the notes of our account. After he finished he asked my wife to fill out a survey on him. She did, guess what, next day no call. When I called back (not happy), I asked for a supervisor, told him what happened. He showed no note for anyone to call us back. We told him about the people calling us saying our service expired, he said no you didn't get a call, I gave him the number and asked him to call it. He didn't, said something about a scam. So we just got a call out of the blue from a scammer saying that our iYogi service had expired. More lies. There is a language barrier, no doubt, I repeated myself several times, that I wanted a call back in one or two days, telling me why this happened. My wife wants a refund for the two months of service remaining, they said no. All iYogi does is try to sell you products and services they don't provide. Scam, lies, I just wonder where all the computer viruses come from, maybe the same building in India.Desired Settlement: I have just over two months of service left, they refuse to refund the balance. I believe that they are committing fraud, trying to scare the consumer into buying additional products and services they don't need. I'm not the only one having issues with iYogi. check website; [redacted]

Response:

Dear [redacted],

Extrenely disappointed in the fact that on the [redacted] page it states that I get 30 minutes free consultation for tech issues. Called today and chatted today and both said I had to pay $149. Spoke about 30 minutes consultation and they again said $149. This is bad marketing / advertising if you don't do what it says you will do. Also, very hard to understand person on the phone due to accent and MUCH background noise. Bought a new Ipad and looking to buy new Iphone 6 but now I am not so sure.
