We had a word with [redacted] who wished to get the refund for the subscription. As per his request we have processed the complete refund for the amount paid by him. Also notified  him that it may take 5-7 business days for the amount to reflect in his card statement.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is conditionally satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved. Yet I am still concerned it took this drastic step to resolve my issue.  It seems to me if this company was sincere about not installing malicious software they could have resolved my problem on my first call to their tech help line. A less motivated individual might have agreed to the $179.99 fee. I would not recommend this company to anyone,

They have not contacted me.  A hacker did contact me in their name and almost stole $500.00 via a [redacted] transfer.No one legitimate has contacted me.

do not call any of our customers to give them refund unless its the customer's request. As you are aware that in order to process a refund, no software needs to be downloaded nor customer's computer access is required. So this was clearly someone trying to gain [redacted] computer' access. We request [redacted] not to provide access to anyone on such terms nor entertain any such calls claiming to be from iYogi. If required she can directly call at our Customer Service Toll-Free-Number (###-###-####) to get in touch with us. Furthermore, as per the request by [redacted], we have added her iYogi account to our Do Not Call list and she will not be receiving any calls from us.RegardsActive Response TeamiYogi

Dear [redacted],Thanks for the complaint notification. With regards to this case the customer had contacted our Customer Service department yesterday and spoke with a representative. After a lengthy discussion the customer agreed to subscribe for a free six months Technical Support on his computer...

[Your Answer Here]Despite what the company said, I was NOT informed that they are third-party. Their number is listed as a "Dell Support" number and I believe that gave me the expectation that I would receive appropriate service for my Dell laptop. The tech had permission to work on my computer because I thought he was legitimate. He was not, as evidenced by the fact that he spent 40 minutes "searching" my computer and then tried to sell me software and ended the call when I declined. He ended the call without returning my settings to normal and I had to take the laptop into a technician to be cleaned. If iYogi thinks I am letting their people anywhere near my computer again, they have to be kidding. I learned my lesson and all I want is compensation for the $30 I paid to have the computer fixed. I will accept the loss of work time as part of a valuable lesson learned, but not the actual expense of solving a problem their tech created.

We would like to bring to your attention that the renewal was done after sending [redacted] a prior email informing himof the charge that was about to be made on a certain date and he had the option to opt-out from the automatic renewal by clicking on a link. The dispute is still under review by [redacted] bank. As you are aware the dispute has been filed by the [redacted] and the ruling for the dispute will be provided by the bank at their discretion.
