I was charged more than the amount I was quotedBut due to a system upgrade, my complaints were disregarded once the contract commenced
I was given a verbal price quote for a PODS moving container and told it couldn't be emailed to me in writing because PODS was "changing their computer system" I was specifically told that it should be automatically generated I received all correspondence from PODS, except for several price quotes I called several times to request they resend my quote in writing and they told me they couldn't do that They created incident reports and blamed the "IT triage department" but assured me that the price I was quoted was correct Once the POD unit was delivered and transport began, I was charged a total of $3,over three installments (My quoted total price was $3, My quoted amount included a $discount that they offered because they called me a "legacy customer" as I signed up just before their system change.) I was overcharged

unable to access storage unit as confirmed
I had goods stored in a PODS storage container (cust ID:#***/*** and ***) for 1/years while living overseas to work with the militaryWhen I returned, I decided it was cheaper for me to retrieve my goods from the storage container myself, rather than have the POD delivered to me (Charleston, SC to Toledo, OH)After confirming the date I wanted access to my container (Sat of Labor Day weekend), by email (8/26/15) and phone, I made flight arrangements to SC and rented a moving truckWhen I arrived in SC and went to the PODS storage site, my unit was not made accessible to meSomehow there was confusion and an empty container had been provided to meI was quite upset by this, as I came a long distance to claim my goods, the transaction had been confirmed, etcNo one was available on-site to help me with this situationI contacted the national phone number, and I'm told they contacted the local managerI understand that mi

the way that they conduct business is possibly illegalthey leave their pods on property as long as they want and leave try to leave the cx liable
the way that they conduct business is possibly illegalthey leave their pods on property as long as they want and leave try to leave the cx liablethey do not and refuse to work with people when they are putting massive containers on propertysuch as apt complexes that only allow the pod to be there for 24hr periodYou call asking for their help and remain on long holds with no help

The company sends out bills on the day they are due or the day afterThen in a few days they send an "over due" email This practice has been going on for months When I called the company, the person answering the phone said the company wants customers to pay on line and that is why they started this billing practiceHow does one pay a bill before they receive it? We don't want to pay on line

My Husband, son & I moved 1,miles away to our new home using pods due to a under week deliveryWe're now on day sitting in a empty house
My husband was transferred by his company & we were asked to get quotes for moving companies & we chose pods due to its fast delivery & then we based our entire move off of their delivery dateWe were going to go with a van line who would have done all the hard labor for us, moving our items in & out of the house & they would have done it for less moneyBut there was a day waiting time & that wasnt going to work for us so we paid the extra $1000, decided to do the labor ourselves & go with PODSReceiving PODS @ our new location has been a nightmareWe were originally told they would be here on the 4th & they emailed us on the 3rd & said it was rescheduled until the 8thWe explained that my husband would be starting his 1st day of work on Monday & that we had to have them by the weekendThey told us no problem they figured out a

Not honest and/or forthcoming regarding delivery to Hawaii Island
I was initially told it would take days for my POD to get to Hawaii Island I was not told that it would be my responsibility to unload my stuff at the port, when it arrived I am now told (by the barge company in Hawaii) that it will be August 28th before my POD arrives, and I must unload it at the port, as POD does not deliver it to my home I must hire another company to help me with that None of this was mentioned previously by PODS By the 28th, it will have been days for my POD to arrive This entails me renting a furnished place to stay awaiting arrival of my POD, which I now must extend another days from the date of August 18th that was provided me by PODS (that's the last date they provided me, which was also not true)

Taking money from my checking account without my consent
On 05/31/PODS withdrew $from my checking account without my consent

Misrepresentation of services provided; failure to provide services promised; failure to honor written quotes; refusal to transfer my call to manager
Sept I called for initial storage to long distance move quote, was told that the following zipcodes were serviced XXXXX Minn, XXXXX New York, and Marseille FRANCEBased on that info, I scheduled the first POD We subsequently filled and stored PODS October 2014, I called for a price to move the PODS to FRANCE and was told that your company does not service that area, so our PODS remained in storage Summer 2015, I called to request a price to move the PODS to Alexandria MN, and was told again that you do not service that areaFall 2015, I asked for a quote to move our PODS to your the nearest PODS facility to Alexandria, and was told the nearest was in Michigan, but that PODS could transfer our belongings to a moving truck, and was given a quote for that service of $ We then started looking into independent

delivery of my storage unit was scheduled for 11/18, it never arrived and no one every called me regarding a delay
I called on 11/to scheduled my unit for delivery on 11/ The transportation was paid for on 11/in the amount of $ I called several times the weeks of 11/and 11/to make sure that the unit was in fact in transit - and each time was assured that it was - even tho on my end it still showed that it was sitting in Steel Creek, NC The night before I did not receive a delivery time window - so I called and was told that it arrived late and would be routed in the morning The following morning I still did not receive a call with a time frame so I called again I was then told that it was still in transit and would be routed when it arrived I called several more times on 11/and was repeatedly told it would in fact be arriving tonight they just could not give me a time window I sat home ALL day because I have to be able to let the driver in the gate

PODS took my order without informing me that they do not deliver to certain areas and now they refuse to deliver my belongings to my house
When I placed my order with PODS no one told me that they only deliver to certain zip codes They said I did not need to give them a delivery address at that time They delivered the pod to my former residence in *** MN *** They picked up the pod and brought it to their storage facility I scheduled delivery of the pod to my new address in *** *** MN *** for September 23rd On September 22nd, I found out that the closing was not going to take place on the 23rd and I called PODS to have the delivery date changed, at which time they told me they would not deliver to my new address The new address is miles from the old one and likely less miles than that to the nearest zip code that they do deliver to They should have informed me up front that they do not deliver everywhere I don't understand how they can refuse to

This company told us on numerous occasions they would pick up PODS from our homehome sold and the PODS were still on property
The company scheduled a pick up of PODS from our soon to be sold house for the 2nd of May They did not come on teh 2nd so we expected them on the 3rd and yet they did not come to pick up PODSOur house was going to be sold on the 5th so it was imperative that they come pick up PODS since the house was no longer oursOn the 5th the POD was still on propertyFinally on the the POD was picked upMeanwhile, there were other PODS getting picked up at their scheduled timeWhy did they leave ours sitting for over days? Horrible business practices and the address is actually in Des Moines WA but they don't have an address on this website for that buildingThis is the worst experience ive ever had with a companyThere is not a manager at location to helpyou have to speak with someone in FL who also does not have access to mangerThis company is ver

I was double invoiced for a service from PODS I have contacted them multiple times (5-10) regarding this issue with no resolve
I have contacted Pods several times to try to resolve an invoice that was invoiced twice to meI have tried a total of times, four of which I was directly transferred to their accounting department and told to leave a message and that I would be contacted within hours I have not yet heard back from any of the messages I have left with the accounting department and every attempt at contacting PODS, they direct me to accounting I am at a loss and don't know what to do I don't want to overpay for my pods, however I also do not want to be falsely hurt by not paying an overdue invoice I have no option left, but to pay the wrongly invoiced amount of $in order to stop them from sending me daily emails/reminders and to damage my credit I am very disappointed to say the least since I have contacted them immediately following the wrong invoice

Pods Gave us the absolute most miserable of moving experience of Our Lives!
Not only did they drop our Pines causing $10,in damage to our furniture they would not take ownership to their mistakeWe purchased the additional insurance and even then pods did not want to hold up their end of the dealWord of warning make sure you video tape everything when you put it in the pods and immediately when you take it out cover your bases and hire a professional moving company pods are not worth it

I was new to PODS and stored my entire life savings into a X unit as I planned to be out of the country after the sale of my home and serious health issuesUpon my return I noticed many broken and damaged itemsI was exhausted from my day drive and put many items by the curb as garbage day was the next day That was the least of my problems with PODSAt first I decided not to file a claim as I hadn't gone through my entire unit and didn't realize how much damage there was as I was renting a room and only taking what I needed out at firstI decided to get rid of the two larger items and sold at a reduced cost due to scuffs and scratchesI had packed my unit very well and had professional helpI showed it to the PODS driver prior to closing it and he agreed it looked fineI decided to lease an x unit and planned the pick up within a few days of arrivalBy the time I emptied the unit into the new one I noticed so much black soot on my itemsI had to return more time

I was quoted one amount and was repeatedly charged amounts above my initial quote In order to speak to anyone, I was hold for hours at a time
I initially placed on order in late January, I spoke with a very friendly gentleman who answered all of my questionsI needed 16' and one 12' container I was quoted $per month for months He ASSURED me that there would be no extra charges for delivery, re-delivery, pick-up, etc NO ADDITIONAL CHARGES because of the promotion I signed up with He also noted that the computer system would change the next day so I was lucky to get such a great deal Immediately, PODS began charging my credit card random charges On January I was charged $and then on January I was charged $844.94! Well above my initial quote After sitting on hold for minutes, which I DO NOT have time for, I was told that I would have to wait for someone to call me back to give credit back to my account That didn't happen, and after

Excessive Billing and Unauthorized Charges
First, in February when the company changed their billing system, there were inconsistent billing issuesAt the time my account was up to date, and yet I received a collections call requesting payment for a month of free storage that was included in my original deposit for said storage timeThe call sounded "fishy", as the way to account rep explained it, it appeared that my account was charged twice for a month that should have been included in the original depositAfter continuously seeking clarity on the issue, because no one could clarify why the wording seemed to imply double charging, I moved on with paying on my account in the way that I understood my account should have been chargedBut I now find that I should not have moved forward, as my invoices and payment documentation do not properly reflect my initial payments and depositI still cannot put together what charge went where and how
It was a disappointment to see that a

PODS has failed to redeliver my container to me No valid reason has been given, other than 'System Issues'
PODS has not redelivered container to my new address near Lansing MI (from El Paso TX),has missed two prior delivery datesNo one is able to tell me where it is currently located
Summary:
-01/07/16: Called for pickup of packed containerTried to schedule redelivery to new addressCSR said she could schedule pickup for 01/11, and final delivery for 01/(she stated road time was 8-days)Due to their new system, she could not add my new address, but said she would have it delivered to Lansing site, asked me to call back following week so my new address can be input

I am having service and billing issues with PODSI have been told different delivery dates, now they are threatening not to deliver my belongings
I signed up for a POD rental in July I called and needed a pod to rent and be delivered to Orlando from JacksonvilleI was told a local delivery would be better pricingWhen it came to have my POD delivered to Orlando, I was told that it was a long distant move and I would be chargedI paid the long distant fee and am now being told I would need to pay another month of serviceThey gave me a delivery date of 6/23/and then emailed me and said they need to change the delivery date to 6/and I would be responsible for paying a monthly charge for July (6/20/- 7/20/16)I have called multiple times and have been put on hold or transferred countless times resulting in phone calls well over an hour at a timeService is horrendous and to extort payment to receive my belonging back is unethicalThey demand new contracts signed ot

1) delivered to the wrong spot2) did not keep proomised time times for pick up
When I initially signed up for pods they had my unit delivered to the wrong location when they have specific instructionsWhen I called them back to move it where I wanted them to move it in the first place I had them read back the directions I gave them and ask them why this was not doneThey had no excuseWhen I scheduled for pickup they gave me a three-hour window from p.mto p.mand the driver showed up at a.mI was not ready at that time because they told me a different time windowI then begged the driver to stayHe could not stay more than minutesAt that time all of the people that I hired had to hurry up and Rush everythingI did not get to fit everything in my pod because I had no timeI was also promised that I would get my pod delivered to my new place the same dayWhen I called customer service and tell them what happened they also informs me that I wouldn't get my pot

The POD driver scratched my driveway, ran into my mailbox and ran over a tree bed and damaged the soil and mulchI submitted a claim and photos of the damage to PODs and after an "investigation" they denied the claimThey never sent anyone to my home to assess the damage and will not provide a point of escalation so I can appeal for resolutionThe costs to repair my driveway is $It will also cost $to replace the damaged mailbox and another $to repair the tree bedI will file a claim with my home owners insurance company if I have to however, I would prefer to work directly with PODS to recover my losses
