Failure to refund a credit balance
I have called repeatedly requesting a refund of a credit balance on my account PODS customer service staff assure me they wish to help, but the only resolution I get is being transferred to someone else, and eventually I am transferred to a phone number which no one answers It appears they are intentionally avoiding paying

PODS failure to honor their contract regarding container removal
I contacted PODS on March 2, regarding a long distance move from Dallas TX area to Baltimore MD areaI told CSR that I have approx2500sf home, including queen beds, single beds and oversized sofasThe CSR recommended two 16' containers for the moveWe scheduled delivery and pickup of PODS for March and March 24, respectivelyWhen the PODS were delivered 3/it was immediately recognized that the PODS were too small to accommodate my items, even though the PODS website states that the 16' container can accommodate most 2-bedroom homesOn 3/I notified PODS that the containers were too small for my possessions and that I would CANCEL one POD and keep one POD for items to be moved to a temporary residence in Baltimore TBDAfter the CSR adjusted my order to cancel one POD, the CSR said that both containers (1/empty, 1/filled with my possessions) could both be picked up on the original date of Marc

This was the second time I have used PODS; both times having that storage/moving option was a huge help and cost saving measure since it reduced the volume of what professional moving company had to pack/haul The unit is well designed with tie downs throughout; being level with the ground makes rolling items off easyThe online layout guides were a bit confusing for me but this time the delivery driver was extremely knowledgeable and experienced; he suggested an ideal positioning and was able to place it there Piman, less experienced, managed to remove it but we had to remove all vehicles from the driveway due to his level of skill No problem however The unit withstood lots of rain and high winds without leaking any I recommend PODS as either your primary or secondary moving option

Pods has placed a collection on my credit report
I rented a pod October 2015, I requested pick up on January of It was not picked up until March of because of flooding issuesI spoke to a supervisor of the Trussville Alabama location and was told that my account would be credited and I wouldn't be charged.I received a letter in the mail saying that my account was placed in collections because it couldn't be picked up until March

PODS puts you on hold for extended periods of timeThen disconnects you, and the process starts overThe online site is a joke and rarely works

I was under the incorrect assumption that using PODS would be straight forward I visited their website for a free quote...but there is no quote...instead, you get a response that your quote is too complicated, and that you'll have to call in for your quote...(it's their sneaky way of getting you to call them, so you can speak with one of their salespeople and have them try to push their services on you) The salesperson attempts to make it seem like its all pretty straightforward, and shortly thereafter your head will be spinning with all the different fees As you try to reconcile all the different fees, the salesperson insists that it's all standard, as per the industry It had all the allure of dealing with a used car salesman After insisting that the salesman FINALLY give me my total...I realized that there is nothing cheap about using PODS After reading many of the reviews here, I realized that there was good reason for the negative vibes I was getting Be very inquisitive when dealing with PODS

My items were damaged $in television broken, stained sofas, smashed desk and scratched dining room table They revealed that insurance did not cover items only their container

My complaint is twofold, long phone wait periods, and billing charges
First, I was misquoted from the beginning, but with that said I scheduled to have my container delivered in January onlineWhen I first inquired last year, I was told pods didn't prorate, (my fault didn't see that on the site) so I was told to schedule pick up close to my billing date, which was 2/8/16...so I scheduled pick for 2/6/because after several online attempts, I could reschedule an earlier date
The pod was in fact picked up on 2/6/around 8amOn Monday 2/8/I was billed $now for a pod that was returned
I have been unable to reach the toll free number due to long wait periods, and the contact us link has no email option
This is unacceptable customer service and no way should I have been billed the monthly rent when their product was returned

I used PODS service during April 2016-June during my moveI rented two PODS- one ft and one 7ft PODAfter getting my PODS on June 8th after being in PODS storage, there was water in the ft POD resulting in my dining room table being damagedI contacted PODS and they had determined that there was no way water could have gotten into my PODI disagree with thisThe table did not have any damage prior to being put into the PODThis was a direct result of something happening during the weeks it was in their careI entrusted PODS to secure my items and was not happy with the care taken, or resolution to my issue

Damaged my property while making a delivery
A pods employee damaged my property while making a delivery to a house in my neighborhoodThe pods driver had a load that was too tall to make a safe delivery in the alley behind my house
The pods driver ran up onto the curb to the entrance of the ally and tore a circumference limb from a majestic Pecan tree on my property'
The opposite end of the ally is wider and has a better egress with no treesThe city of Dallas garbage trucks clear the ally every week and have no issuesI trim these trees to the City of Dallas recommendations so no damage will occur to my property

Unethical sales techiques
I want to notify you of a recent unpleasant experience with PODS and their unethical sales techniquesOn Oct-13, I contacted PODS sales department number to inquiry about the cost of a long distance moving containerI emphasized to the representative to provide me with the "total cost", as I needed to make sure there were no surprises laterThe cost he provided for large unit was $or $1764, and when I asked for total cost of a small unit, he replied "about $less"
(Note that representative did not disclose that I could only get the "$less" price only if I had reserved the unit with him at that time)
I reserved the large unit on Oct-13, and a few days later, on Oct-20, I called back to reduce the size of the containerI trusted I was getting the "$less" "price"The representative on Oct-20, did not provide any amounts over the phone, representative only took request information and scheduled the smaller unit
PODS made two charge

PODS picked up one of moving containers with our furniture, and they refuse to deliver it to our new address
We ordered foot moving containers to ship from Phoenix, AZ, to Federal Way, WAAfter weeks, the first container was picked up in Phoenix on 2/19/and was estimated to be delivered to our Federal Way, WA, address on 3/1/After almost weeks and many calls to their customer service, we still don't have a delivery date
On second note, PODS has overcharged us now and we still miss half of our furnitureCalling their customer service gets us nowhere as their service reps have no idea where our container is located
