This co has the most abusive and misleading practices I have ever encountered in my lifeThe lie and cheat and steal and then hide like babies
I rented a POD storage unit a few years ago for what was supposed to be a temporary amount of time and now it has turned into a longer time due to unforeseen circumstancesWhen I rented the unit I specifically asked what happened if I fell behind in my rent because I had a very good friend lose abut 65K worth of office furniture for his storage unit going to auctionI was told that it takes or four months of non payment which made me feel better because I knew if I had an emergency I would be able to make it up the next month and my things would be fine8-months went by without incidentThen, at some point I owed or months of storage fees but I was always communicating with the company and made arrangements to pay which I have ALWAYS keptThey assigned my case to a person named Cary Gas an "account manager" (collection agent)

We were treated very poorly and repeatedly told misleading and incorrect information about the services we paid for and would receive
The first misinformation we got from PODS happened we called to scheduled the drop off, and they told us that for an extra $we could schedule a guaranteed drop of in the morningBut when my husband called back to reserve the morning drop off, he was told by a different CS person that it was no longer possible to doWe were very concerned about the delivery of the POD, because our new inner city neighborhood had a high crime rating on Trulia and folks I'd talked to said they'd heard of people's belongings being stolen out of moving trucks and PODS there in the pastSo it was absolutely non-negotiable that we move our stuff out the same day that the POD was deliveredThe day before our move, we were given a delivery window for the POD, from 11-2pmWe asked (pleaded!) with the person on the phone to make a request for a delivery as early as possi

Billing doesn't reflect a payment made in December 2015, PODS changed their system and seem to have lost this payment

PODS has repeatedly drafted from my account in excess of $to move my container even though I have specifically instructed them to hold the container at the origin facility until I was ready to move it
Call hold times are in excess of minutes every time I callThe last time I called I was on the phone for minof which was holding to speak to a representative, be put on hold again for another minutes

Over billing, unethical business practices, holding personal items hostage for more money, refusal to deliver and piwith in the commited time
We paid $dollars to sign up and scheduled the deliveryThey did not deliver the POD on time and we had to call and call to get them to talk to us and solve the issueThey then delivered it the following day and said they would refund the dollars which they did not doOnce we set the date for the delivery they purposely set the date to transport day after the monthly storage billing cycle so they could collect the full amount of the monthly storageThey took $after we had paid the initial $118.00, months of monthly rental at $per month, $for unknown past due amounts and then a final payment of $for the transporatation feeThey say we still owe an additional $for the one day over the billing cycle and they will not garauntee the delivery of the POD in writing yet they have taken all

I live out of state currently and had arranged a weekend at home with friends and family to help me move my things out of my POD and into a permanent storage facilityWhen the delivery date arrived, PODS Brooklyn *** said they didn't have enough drivers to deliver my POD on that day, but would deliver it Monday, which does not work since I have a full-time job out of stateSo now I am saddled with paying for my POD until I can reschedule a trip home and the help from movers, which was the point of me moving my things into a permanent storage facilityI called the locale manager in Minneapolis but their voicemail box was full, so I called the corporate number and they tried to contact the local office and did not get an answer eitherI can not afford to pay for both a permanent storage facility and a POD for another month, and I had planned accordingly so I wouldn't have that extra burden, but now I am stuck

I set up a delivery date for my POD that they were storing in their Elgin, Illinois location to be done on JUN This was scheduled one month in advance because that was the only time available for them to deliver It's not like you can get your property back within one week I believe that they hold onto your property because they are charging your (mandatory) credit card for the time they have your goods in their possession Well, my POD did not show up during the scheduled 6:- 9:pm slot When it wasn't there, I called the customer service number but it apparently closed at 4:30pm When trying to rectify the issue today, I was told that they didn't know why it was not delivered and that by the Customer Service office that no one at the Elgin office was answering the phone; therefore had to reschedule a delivery for another two plus weeks out

Misplaced my POD then ran over my water well when POD was delivered causing water loss and emergency service
