We had a scheduled pick up of our pod to return to the storage facility for today, the closing date for our houseThe pod was not picked up

My wife and I moved from Atlanta to South Alabama for a new job and we decided using PODs would be the most cost efficient way to move rather than using a moving company or moving truck So I called the customer service line to get a quote and we were originally quoted $2,as a final cost The guy I spoke to set up the delivery dates for June 6th and everything seemed to be going smoothly The date of delivery (June 6th) approached and nothing showed, so I called customer service to see where our PODs were and they said the containers never even left Georiga and there was no delivery date on file Prior to that we already paid roughly $to delivery and storage That same day (June 6th) I talked to customer service my bank called me and said PODS tried to make a transaction of $2, Huge red flag there as they originally said total cost would be $2,and we already paid $So talking to a girl on customer ser

This has been a nightmare We had a contract with PODs for our move from FL to NC When I called to schedule the redelivery of my POD to my new home in NC, I was told that it had actually never left Florida It was forgotten about I was promised that this would be fixed, and I would not be charged the redelivery fee as compensation What I didn't learn until later, was to fix this problem, my original account was closed A new account was opened From there, I was charged again for the actual moving of my POD from state to state And I was charged the redelivery fee That was all credited back to me Then, I returned the POD of June 29th Days later, I was billed for "rent" of the POD in July When I called to complain, (b/c I didn't have the POD in my possession anymore), I was promised yet another refund Which I never saw Then, I was billed for rent in August

When I loaded my PODs in October 2016, I expressed concern about the condition of the roof of one of the PODs as it was an older model with a plastic roof and these were eventually going to be transported to San Francisco When I accessed my PODs in January, there were holes in the roof in that POD and my fabric sofa that was professionally wrapped was wet I asked PODs what they wanted me to do with the wet sofa as I could not repack it without risk to the rest of my items They said they could not tell me but to take pictures if I decided to throw it away I did not want to throw it away as it was expensive and could be cleaned I decided to take it to my current home about 1/hours away from SD to let it dry and await instructions from PODs and informed them that this sofa belonged in ** eventuallyI had a move scheduled in February in ** so transported my PODs there PODs finally got back to me toward the end of Feb and said they would pay for the cleaning but not the

On March 2016, hrs, I talked to Roger of customer service, after waiting for an hour, and discussed moving my POD to Waco, TX, Roger advised me that it would have to go to Temple, TX arrive on March and we would have access on March Roger also quoted a price for the move of $ The price actually charged for this same move on invoice NoPEIUXXXXXXXXX was $+ tax, I would like to have a written, detailed explanation for this glaring discrepancy of $ Bottom line Roger's information was completely inaccurate because the POD did not arrive until March which costs me $in U-Haul charges, delayed my plans for over hours and I was way over charged over the quoted cost

PODS makes incorrect statements to their customers and also runs them around when they have a problem
We initially set up an order with PODS on 5/6/for a move that would start on 7/8/16, have them leave the POD through 7/9/16, and then store the POD for a month, delivering it back to us on 8/5/to then pick the container up at the end on 8/8/In June, I found a 10% off coupon I could use, and the PODS people told me I could apply it but they would have to cancel the first order and set up a new one (this was 6/28/16)They did that, but they also told me that I had to change the dates because the company in our location (NC) couldn't pick up on a weekend (7/9/was a Saturday)We moved the delivery to 7/6/and the pickup to 7/8/I asked if that would make them charge me a whole extra month storage for two days, and they said no that they had a grace period of a few daysSo first, I was given incorrect information, and the company never would have been able to pick up
