I recently used the just answer and was cleary told of a 1dollar cost. I used the service and that was all. In the next few days I received several emails requesting from a person who stated he answered my question and that I need to help him so he could continue working for just answer. I kept deleting his emails and was never informed via email of any charges other than the initial 1 dollar charge. On march 28 34 dollars was deducted from my bank account. I contacted justanswer as to why the 34 dollars was deducted and the person said I did not cancel the program after 7 days which he stated was sent to me via email which I never received.

Hello J,Thank you for reaching out to us at JustAnswer! We can certainly understand any concern you have with regards to your charges, and we’d like to take a little time to explain things for you. After reviewing your account, it would appear that you had signed up to participate in our 7-Day Membership Trial. When the trial concluded on 3/28/20, and in order to prevent interruption to your service, your account was billed for a membership. It is evident that you did not intend to continue with the membership after the trial ended, so as a courtesy I have refunded your recent membership charge. I have turned the membership billing off and you will not receive any further recurring charges.Again, please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. I hope that I've been able to resolve this issue to your satisfaction. Please contact me if there is anything else I can help you with.

Hello Jessika,
Thanks for letting us know about this. We're sorry for any confusion about the payment for the site.
The membership charge amount and information is presented to all customers on the payment page prior to entering any billing information. After the question is posted and the membership is agreed to, we send a receipt E-mail, as well as a payment reminder E-mail, 3-days prior to the recurring billing.
This is disclosed prior to reaching the payment authorization so that you can review the charities and accept or decline, and then once again on the payment page where you enter your billing information.
Unfortunately we aren't able to locate your account with any of the information that has been provided to the Revdex.com, so we will reach out to you privately to gather the appropriate account information.
Please reach out to us if you need any further assistance and we're happy to help in any way we can.

They trap you when switching morgage companies. You try to set up your account online. Someone starts instant messaging you and they move you to the justanswer app. They say it’s a $5 setup but you’ll get that back. That they would call you to remind you the trial period was up. However, when I seen that I was charged on March 20 (today is March 27) I called to cancel and to have the money refunded. I was told the money is not refundable. I’m glad I called when I did since it’s $40/month.
Unless you need a lot of questions answered, beware. It’s a lot of money for a service that you don’t use.

Hello Misty,
Thanks for letting us know about this. We're sorry for any confusion about the payment for the site. It seems that you may have accidentally navigated to our website through an Advertisement.

Overall, the cost of the monthly membership is far less than you would pay for an hour of service from a Lawyer, Doctor, Auto-mechanic, Home-Improvement professional or many other Experts. We like to think of the service as insurance for everyday issues.

This company is a scam, I inquired about my cat having diarrhea and vomiting, they then told.meni have to sign up for $5, which I did. Upon signing up and paying $5, they again asked me the same questions, a "vet" comes on and says for an additional $28 you can get a phone call, I opted out to this and waited for my questions to be answered, still no answer. I again indicated what was happening to my cat and the vet said "in order to continue, I have to pay$15-$20" I said no and asked to cancel because my questions were never answered, all they want is money. It's a shame that through this whole COVID-19 pandemic, they are still scamming people for money. This was such a waste of my time that I could be comforting my pet, instead I spent a whole hour and a half trying to get off this website, dont even bother with this site just gonto the vet.

I signed up to ask one question on March 19th. ONE. I was charged a dollar because that's what was advertised. Low and behold, on the 26th, $50 was taken from my account. No email came before it warning me of the charge. I had no idea it was a trial. But now I'm out the money. I spoke with a customer care agent and stated that I couldn't afford that, especially during a pandemic! But was merely told that I was out of luck and that not even a supervisor could help me because there was an agreement and it was non-refundable. Over-drafted my bank account during a pandemic and basically told to pound sand. It's sad. Will never do business with JustAnswer again.

Hello ***

Thank you for getting in touch with us about
this.

In looking at your account, your recent membership charge of $50 was voided. An authorization is a hold that your card issuer places on
your funds and is not an actual charge. You will not receive a credit back to
your account since a charge was not processed, but the authorization shown on
your card statement should drop off, usually within 3-5 business days, and
it'll be as if the transaction never occurred.

Should you have any other questions or concerns,
you’re welcome to reach out to us anytime.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely

I signed up for $1. The sign-up page said clearly "Cancel anytime. We’ll remind you one day before trial ends." Well I did not get a "reminder" but I did get a charge to my card for $46. Then when I tried to cancel, the "Expert's Assistant" I chatted with sent me another "sign up for $1" form to sign up again in order to get help from the "Expert" in cancelling the existing membership. I guess I would then have to cancel that one too. So the "representation" about getting a reminder was fake and the run around was even worse. What a rip-off.

I rate it a zero star but I guess I am forced to hit one star because that is as low as it goes.

I used the service for the $5 trial in December. It was great, then I cancelled the service so I wouldn't forget.
I never received a confirmation of cancellation until January 18th.
Today 3/26/20 I got charged $60, and checking my bank account I had been charged $60 in March also.
They claimed the $5 was not recieved so my account was automatically renewed.
When I asked if my account was renewed in December why I wasn't charged in January, they claimed my account had insufficient funds, which could have been to except for the fact I would have been charged an overdraft fee and notified.
Plus, if I'm on automatic billing, why was my account cancelled on 1/18/20, then billed 2/20/20 and then 3/26/20. Automatic billing comes out on the exact same day every month.
Now, I have talked to 2 service reps which both told me to email my info to support@justanswer. then I get a response saying "It looks like you are trying to get in touch with us to cancel your membership, but you've emailed an address that isn't accepting emails at this time."
Reading the other reviews, how does this company have an A rating?

This is a scam!!! They charge you for an answer, sign you up for a memebership never requested and when you call to cancel to an automated prompt, they do not cancel and keep charging month after month. When we called the credit card company and had them block their charges, they changed their name to add "trial", or "membership" or "clearwater" to bypass the block and charge again!!!!!

This complaint is identical to every other complaint. I'm sure they will take the position that they fully reveal all terms. If they did, then why are there hundreds of complaints. I was charged $65 for two months for their "service." I should be more diligent reviewing my credit card bills, but no reputable firm hides behind a person's lack of attentiveness to make money.

Hello ***Thank you for contacting JustAnswer. We're sorry to hear that you want to turn off your membership feature. We have processed your request and moving forward, you will not see any recurring membership charges. Your account is now on a pay-per-question basis and you will only be charged when you post a question. The recent two charges of $65 each made to your card has been canceled. The funds are made available to your bank the next business day, however, the bank may take 3-5 business days to release the funds back to your account depending on their policy. If I can be of further assistance, please let me know.

Revdex.com:

Bogus!!!! I want my $5 refunded like I was told!! A total disgrace!!

I used this service to help with the fixing of my vehicle. They said it would be a $5 charge, but never in the email did it say it would be a monthly bill. Even if it did, at least tell me what the charge would be. I was charged $35 a month for a service I never used. It is a SCAM! A little payment changed into a monthly fee. Will never use this service again and tell people to never use them as well.

I was offered to pay $1 for posting my question. And I did see it was a 7-day trial - but nowhere do they post what the monthly fee will cost after 7-days. When my chat session ended - which was very successful by the way, I was very pleased with the knowledge of the expert I was chatting with. Pearl Wilson came back on the chat to see if I had any other questions, and I asked her what the monthly membership was. My question was quite clear - what is the monthly price for the membership? Her answer was "sorry I didn't catch what you said" so I asked again and she replied again, "sorry I didn't catch what you said, let me transfer you to my supervisor." Then she leaves the chat, and a supervisor never comes on. I looked through all of their tabs on their website and nowhere does it state the pricing, or package pricing options. I couldn't start a new chat, for it kept saying a supervisor will join in shortly until I refreshed the page to clear the chat and got Pearl Wilson again. When I asked the same question, she immediately chatted the same scam as the first time. That she will transfer me to a supervisor. So it is no surprise to see here on Revdex.com that this is the scam they continually choose as their business model. Which is quite a shame. It appears to be a great tech company offering quality experts, so I don't see the reason they continually choose to operate their business this way and not be honest with their pricing. And because this is their trashy practice, they will not have me continue with a membership - when I did really liked the service and experts they have to offer. So Regards to you "JustAnswer Customer Care Rep" - you don't need to copy and paste your standard response to my review, the, oh, ..."Hello Sandra, Thanks for letting us know about this. We're sorry for any confusion about the payment for the site. The membership charge amount and information is presented to all customers on the payment page prior to entering any billing information." ...The membership charge amount is NOT presented clearly. And... "After the question is posted and the membership is agreed to, we send a receipt E-mail" ...The email receipt does NOT state a single word about the monthly price that I have agreed to. Shame, shame, shame. What corporate clueless director thinks this is a successful honest way to run your company.

WARNING. They STOLE my credit card number. it was a brand new card and I had had no contact with them at all. furthermore, they made 6(!) charges on my card. I tried to contact them by phone, but their agent Alequin could not find any account for me under phone# or email address. he also said he could NOT search for my account using my name and so could do nothing. What?? I tried to chat about the charges and the agent (probably a computer) simply forwarded me to a page where I could enter my credit card and open a trial membership. so I tried to chat again and the agent (also probably a computer) replied "i will transfer you to customer care" but never did. 3 attempts to fix this and I only got 1 actual person and he did NOTHING. Now I have to dispute the charges, cancel the card and get a new one. I would NOT trust them at all.

I signed up for JustAnswer and was told that I could pick my payment level to the expert I talked to, and there was no mention of a recurring $54 fee. I used the service exactly once, and did not expect to make any payments after that.

But then I was charged a $54 monthly fee for several months before I saw the charges in my bank statement.

In short, JustAnswer deceptively charged me a recurring fee, and if I do not get refunded, I am willing to take legal action.

Hello ***Thank you for contacting JustAnswer and I'm extremely sorry for any frustration we may have caused you. I have issued a refund for 4 membership payments of $54.00 each. The funds are made available to your bank the next business day, however, the bank may take 3-5 business days to release the funds back to your account depending on their policy. It looks like you accepted a free trial of our membership program. At the end of the trial, the membership bills automatically to avoid disruptions in service. It is evident that you did not intend to continue with the membership after the trial ended, so as a courtesy I have refunded all of your membership charges. I have turned the membership billing off and you will not receive any further recurring charges.Again, please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. I hope that I've been able to resolve this issue to your satisfaction. Please contact me if there is anything else I can help you with.

They are a rip off business. They offered a 7 day trial period, then a $60 per month membership that cannot be opted out of. They manage to lose all responses that shows that I did try to cancel. There is no real person on the web site message board, just bot responses. When you ask a pointed questions they just disconnect you.

When you call them, some lady in Asia just tells you that they cannot find records of mine except the credit card number.

I'm sure they will say they have an excellent survey response. I did opt to give my opinion before the phone call, but since it wasn't going their way, they found a way to disconnect me before the survey started.

I never signed up for just answer.I believe I got scammed

They trick you into paying a small fee to get started and ask a simple question to a lawyer and say it's fully refundable. I was chatting with a lawyer and they stopped responding after one question. 2 hours later they said "Sorry for the delay, I had to go eat dinner with my family." Now that I am trying to get my trial money back and cancel so I'm not charged a monthly fee, nobody will pick up the phone and nobody will answer the chat. This whole service is pretty scammy.
