I called with a question once. received an answer which was of no help. I thought that was the end of it.When I called to complain I was advised when I made the initial call I was given a free trial period. When I didn't cancel, I was automatically billed $28 a month.I should have been more diligent with my credit card statements.Never the less this whole system seems like big scam to me.
Hello J,
Thanks for letting us know about this. We're sorry for any confusion about the payment for the site.
The membership charge amount and information is presented to all customers on the payment page prior to entering any billing information. After the question is posted and the membership is agreed to, we send a receipt E-mail, as well as a payment reminder E-mail, 3-days prior to the recurring billing.
We can confirm that your membership was turned off, that the most recent membership charge was refunded when you contacted Customer Support and, you will see no further recurring billing. You can continue to use the website to post questions as you need and you will be asked to place a deposit on a question-by-question basis.
Please reach out to us if you need any further assistance and we're happy to help in any way we can.

Purchased a "trial" week for $5, February 25th, 2020. After a series of online requests for answers, I asked to speak to someone in person, by phone. I was told it required a membership for $59. Once I made this payment I believed I was outside of the $5 trial period so I got my questions answered by a California attorney and thought our dealings were complete. I happened to be in my bank account online on March 4th, and noticed on the 3rd, Just Answer dinged my account for $60. I went through several attempts to have this amount refunded because all my questions were answered and I'd already paid $64, and explained that I believed the 7-day trial was cancelled as soon as I paid the $59 on 2/25/20, to no avail. I'm sure they're correct in saying that somewhere in the "fine print" it indicates that I still needed to notify them to cancel the trial, but under the circumstances I believe this is unfair and poor, unethical business practice to keep this $60 that I will gain no benefit for, I had all my concerns answered by an attorney and my divorce in being filed.

I cancelled my membership with JustAnswer.com on March 1st, but was never told I would be billed for this month. Today a payment went through my account for $50.00 and I demand a refund of that money.

I have signed on the Just Answer website under the impression that I will get help from Microsoft. I paid what was asked for with the understanding that if not satisfied, I will get my money back. Just Answer could not help because it was a problem with Microsoft and I have tried to indicate that on the Just Answer website. Subsequently Just Answer is debiting my credit card without my permission for the equivalent of R599 per month. I never gave permission for that, nor was it my understanding that I will be liable for continuous payment. I had to stop that credit card in order to prevent further deductions. My request is to refund the money paid as was promised in the initial contact. I have tried my level best on their website to affect this, was even called following an expression of my dissatisfaction, with no avail. I was only now that I became aware of this facility to lodge a complaint. Your kind assistance will be highly appreciated. Regards

I am rejecting this response because:
The services were never used. I can declare under oath that had it be known that membership was to be paid for, I would have decline same. I remember about the money back guarantee and was willing to open an account, paying *** I have only learned about the monthly deduction in January 2020 when I received my December bank statement. It should also be noted that my laptop was stolen the night of 17 Dec 2019 and I only got a replacement on 23 Dec. All info need to be load and by mid January 2020 I could do normal assessment of business flow. I tried to communicate via the website and was called once. The lady informed me that she cannot help and it was understood that she will pass it on to the Accounts Department. The payment continued.
The initial problem/ the reason for my "call" could and was only solved by Microsoft self. I was under the impression that Just Answer was a Microsoft functionality. My request is simply this. Please refund the 4 months membership fees of *** per month because I never used the services and was most definitely led to believe that if not satisfied, money will be refunded.
Sincerely

Please let us know if you need any further assistance.
First time using the service and am very pleased. Rec’d a prompt and thorough answer will highly recommend.
Great response time and accurate information. Very helpful. Would definitely recommend and use this service again. The technician was very friendly and helpful
Tyler helped me out with the correct diagnosis for my refrigerator that was making grinding noises. I applied his recommendation and it worked immediately. Here I was thinking & dreading having to purchase a big appliance, but it wasn't necessary after all.

I needed expert help, but I wasn’t sure exactly what I needed. This website’s experts went well above my expectations!
I signed up for this service to ask a question about my printer. I cost $1.00 for 7 days and then it would revert to full membership. I called the same day after I used the service (I didn't get a helpful answer) to cancel my membership. I just noticed that they have been billing my cc $46. p/mo since then. I called to complain wherein I was told that they had no record of my cancellation.
went on to their site for a single question session of $5 and was thereafter charged a monthly subscription which I knew nothing about as I was travelling overseas for 9 months. they have charged my credit card 6 times @ 35.00GBP which is a huge amount. Ridiculous.
My credit card company won't pay out without email proof of trying to get the money back but they had advised me to cancel the subscription immediately to prevent any further charges and I have no emails to back up my complaint to the company. There was only the statement I put on their site when I went in to cancel it.

I saw the ad and signed up for a trial membership, I asked a legal question and was promptly told to pay an additional $59.00 I immediately cancelled my membership and asked that my $5,00 payment be refunded. Since I did not receive an answer at all I should be refunded my money. From looking at the over 300 complaints to Revdex.com I wish I had checked these people out before hand, do they actually have satisfied customers??????
Hello ***
Thanks for reaching out to us. We apologize for any confusion. The $5.00 charge does cover the first trial week, and you can always cancel at any time.
We can confirm that your trial and membership have indeed been cancelled, and that the $5.00 initial deposit was also refunded. We hope that you were able to speak with a licensed attorney about your Legal question.
Please let us know if you need any further assistance.

This is an amazing site. We connected with a vet for a small fee of $5. Once we got the clarification we needed for our dog. We were able to cancel our subscription right away, I am not sure why people are complaining about this site being a scam. It is straight forward and only here to help. We spoke to a veterinarian when our dog was having some late night issues. This website gave us a second opinion and gave us confidence going forward! Thank you! Forever grateful! ??????????
Very happy with the help I received. Answers to my questions were informative, complete and friendly. Thank you!
My vet diagnosed my 3 year old oscar with HITH in no time. It was a pleasant, easy to understand conversation, and she even sent a recommendation for antibiotics. All I did was give her some info on the fish and sent a couple of photos, and bam! Mystery solved.
Fast response, fair price. Eric answered my question right away and also provided an excellent drawing showing the location of the ECM.
I was very frustrated and when I went to Just Answer, eventually they did fix my problem, I would use them again
Thank you Sujay

I think Just Answer are on a road to success. They have an app that is easy to use and the professionals to give answers to questions, quickly and accurately. My questions were mainly about antiques and their answers were fine. If I had questions in other areas that I cannot solve locally, I would seek out just answer. See you in the future Rgds Geoff
They advertise for free consultation but it is not clear that unless you formally cancel they will charge you 60 dollars. I was essentially charge 60 dollars for a 3 sentence response asking me to setup a meeting.
Since the 30th August 2019 I have been trying to install on my wife's new iPad, her email details so she can receive emails. While chatting with a MicroSoft representative on my computer I was transferred to the Justanswer website where I was invited to ask a question and receive a positive response to correct the problem. The JA site requested credit card details to commence the conversation, the fee to be initially charged was Au$5. I completed the form and sent it off. A reply came and a chat commenced with a JA operator *** After describing the problem I was advised by JM that a fee of AU$56 would be required to continue the correction process. I paid the amount (actual was AU$66) and our chat began. After much deliberation the correction was not able to be completed. Last week I was revising my bank details and installing them on a modified XL spreadsheet for my accountant and I noticed that JustAnswer had been debiting my bank account monthly for the of AU$66 per month for a total of six months. On recognising this scam I immediately cancelled my account with JustAnswer and have been trying to contact them to request a refund of AU$396. I was not formally advised nor invited, nor did I approve nor accept nor give permission for a fee of AU$66 to be debited from my bank account in order to become a member of the Justanswer organisation

This company is a fraud. They billed me $46 for a "service" they claim I signed up for via their "trial" account. I never did so and there are complaints all over the internet about this terrible company.
