Purchased a "trial" week for $5, February 25th, 2020. After a series of online requests for answers, I asked to speak to someone in person, by phone. I was told it required a membership for $59. Once I made this payment I believed I was outside of the $5 trial period so I got my questions answered by a California attorney and thought our dealings were complete. I happened to be in my bank account online on March 4th, and noticed on the 3rd, Just Answer dinged my account for $60. I went through several attempts to have this amount refunded because all my questions were answered and I'd already paid $64, and explained that I believed the 7-day trial was cancelled as soon as I paid the $59 on 2/25/20, to no avail. I'm sure they're correct in saying that somewhere in the "fine print" it indicates that I still needed to notify them to cancel the trial, but under the circumstances I believe this is unfair and poor, unethical business practice to keep this $60 that I will gain no benefit for, I had all my concerns answered by an attorney and my divorce in being filed.
Hello ***
Thanks for letting us know about this. We're sorry for any confusion about the payment for the site.
The membership charge amount and information is presented to all customers on the payment page prior to entering any billing information. After the question is posted and the membership is agreed to, we send a receipt E-mail, as well as a payment reminder E-mail, 3-days prior to the recurring billing. The membership bills at the end of the 7-day trial in order to avoid an interruption in service.
In looking at your account we can confirm that your membership was turned off and the most recent membership charge on the account has been refunded. You can come back at any time to post additional questions but you will be asked to post a deposit on a question by question basis moving forward.
Please reach out to us if you need any further assistance and we're happy to help in any way we can.

I called with a question once. received an answer which was of no help. I thought that was the end of it.When I called to complain I was advised when I made the initial call I was given a free trial period. When I didn't cancel, I was automatically billed $28 a month.I should have been more diligent with my credit card statements.Never the less this whole system seems like big scam to me.

On 8 May 2019, I elected to try a 7-day trial membership with *** for an initial $5 fee. While I was satisfied with the quality of the answer I received to the question, after several days, I decided that I would not require consultation enough to justify a subscription to their service. So I elected not to subscribe.
On 15 June, 2019, I received an e-mail from *** (Senior Director, Customer Service) from the e-mail address *** confirming my account had been cancelled. The text of this e-mail read: "Hi there, Your membership has been canceled. If you’d like to restart your membership at any time, please ?all us at +***"
Each month since then (from 8 July 2019 to present), my credit card has been charged $46.00 from *** That totals $368.00 thus far (eight monthly charges). I am very unhappy that I have been billed that amount since receiving a cancellation confirmation from the company.
Hello,
Thanks for letting us know about this. We're sorry for any confusion about the payment for the site.
It looks like you received the cancellation notification due to a temporary billing issue on your account in June that had been resolved. This is why the billing continued after that.
We can confirm that your membership was turned off, and that all of the charges from June to March have been refunded back to you. You will see no further recurring billing. You can continue to use the website to post questions as you need and you will be asked to place a deposit on a question-by-question basis.
Please reach out to us if you need any further assistance and we're happy to help in any way we can.

I have confirmed that my credit card was credited with refunds for each of the monthly $46 payments that had been charged after the cancellation notification from ***
I appreciate the company's timely response to my grievance, as well as the Revdex.com's provision of a fair and equitable forum in which consumers and service providers can interact.
Thank you very much, *** and Better Business Bureu...

This service is a rip-off. Apparently, I have been paying them $46 a month for MONTHS now, all for one day's contact with them--and I was unaware that there was any payment due at all. I did not in any way authorize a monthly $46 payment to Just Answer.

I joined Just Answer to get an answer to one question. Their was a $5 charge for seven days. It was stated that I would not be charged for further time.
I was just charged $28 to continue.
I never authorized this charge.
When I called, they said I was advised by email of this charge. I have looked through all the emails and I do not see this.

I signd up for a one (1) week trial on 2/24 of the Just Answer service and canceled the trial the same day because I was dissatified with all of the info that was asked for in order to sign up for the service. Today (3/5) I was charged $34 for the subsription that I had cancelled the week before.
This company is a scam.
Hello ***
We apologize for nay confusion. In looking at your account, the membership charge processed on 3/2/2020, but we aren't able to see any contact from you regarding the membership until 3/4/2020.
At this time we can confirm that the recurring billing is off and that the funds have been refunded.
Please reach out to us if you need any further assistance and we're happy to help in any way we can.

It was advertised to talk to a mechanic for a total of $1.00 U.S. which was charged immediately. Today almost a week later I have received a second charge on my account for $34.00 U.S.
The mechanic gave me some ideas but none of them were the issue with the vehicle.
My issue is with the $1.00 advertising price and the second, unauthorized charges of 34.00 on my account.

I signed in to Just Answer to ask a computer question on a unit I had purchased. The person was no help so I cancelled my trial subscription. I began getting charged every month. On October 4th I called the phone number showing on my bank statement. ***. And cancelled the subscription again. I am still getting monthly charges to my account, I called again today 3/4/2020. And asked why I was still being charged, the person stated the account was closed in October. There are still charges to my account, how can I get this to stop?

I sent a message to the *** in July 2019 using their website. I did not realize until tax time that I had been charged $28.00 every month since then for this question. When I called Just Answer in February 2020 they told me that yes, I was charged for asking this question for 8 months. They gave me credit for 3 months but I want full credit. July, August, September, October and November which equals $140.00. I just think this is a scam. Evidently there is a button that I accidentally pushed on the website.
Hello ***Thank you for contacting JustAnswer and I'm extremely sorry for any frustration we may have caused you. We have issued a refund for 3 membership payments of $28.00 each. The funds are made available to your bank the next business day, however, the bank may take 3-5 business days to release the funds back to your account depending on their policy. Unfortunately, we are unable to refund charges further back than this.It looks like you accepted a free trial of our membership program. At the end of the trial, the membership bills automatically to avoid disruptions in service. It is evident that you did not intend to continue with the membership after the trial ended, so as a courtesy I have refunded all of your membership charges. I have turned the membership billing off and you will not receive any further recurring charges.Again, please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. I hope that I've been able to resolve this issue to your satisfaction. Please contact me if there is anything else I can help you with.

I think Just Answer are on a road to success. They have an app that is easy to use and the professionals to give answers to questions, quickly and accurately. My questions were mainly about antiques and their answers were fine. If I had questions in other areas that I cannot solve locally, I would seek out just answer. See you in the future Rgds Geoff
I was very frustrated and when I went to Just Answer, eventually they did fix my problem, I would use them again
Thank you Sujay

Fast response, fair price. Eric answered my question right away and also provided an excellent drawing showing the location of the ECM.
My vet diagnosed my 3 year old oscar with HITH in no time. It was a pleasant, easy to understand conversation, and she even sent a recommendation for antibiotics. All I did was give her some info on the fish and sent a couple of photos, and bam! Mystery solved.
They advertise for free consultation but it is not clear that unless you formally cancel they will charge you 60 dollars. I was essentially charge 60 dollars for a 3 sentence response asking me to setup a meeting.
Very happy with the help I received. Answers to my questions were informative, complete and friendly. Thank you!
This is an amazing site. We connected with a vet for a small fee of $5. Once we got the clarification we needed for our dog. We were able to cancel our subscription right away, I am not sure why people are complaining about this site being a scam. It is straight forward and only here to help. We spoke to a veterinarian when our dog was having some late night issues. This website gave us a second opinion and gave us confidence going forward! Thank you! Forever grateful! ??????????
I saw the ad and signed up for a trial membership, I asked a legal question and was promptly told to pay an additional $59.00 I immediately cancelled my membership and asked that my $5,00 payment be refunded. Since I did not receive an answer at all I should be refunded my money. From looking at the over 300 complaints to Revdex.com I wish I had checked these people out before hand, do they actually have satisfied customers??????
Hello ***
Thanks for reaching out to us. We apologize for any confusion. The $5.00 charge does cover the first trial week, and you can always cancel at any time.
We can confirm that your trial and membership have indeed been cancelled, and that the $5.00 initial deposit was also refunded. We hope that you were able to speak with a licensed attorney about your Legal question.
Please let us know if you need any further assistance.

went on to their site for a single question session of $5 and was thereafter charged a monthly subscription which I knew nothing about as I was travelling overseas for 9 months. they have charged my credit card 6 times @ 35.00GBP which is a huge amount. Ridiculous.
My credit card company won't pay out without email proof of trying to get the money back but they had advised me to cancel the subscription immediately to prevent any further charges and I have no emails to back up my complaint to the company. There was only the statement I put on their site when I went in to cancel it.
