I wanted to ask just one legal question in this website. So I joined the trial membership. However, after a week of the trial membership, my card was charged automatically without any email or prior warnings that my membership is going to auto-renew. The moment it got charged, I immediately contacted the customer service team and they are not willing to refund my membership fees for a month starting from 14th Feb to 13th March. They are not willing to even refund pro-rated membership fees back. Since, I have not used their services in the current billing period, I think it is not fair for me to pay the entire $60 membership fees. I am a student currently and a $60 fee is a huge deal for me. If they atleast sent a reminder before the renewal, I would have cancelled prior to it.
Hello, My name is Chase and I am with the customer care team at JustAnswer. I received a copy of your complaint filed through the Revdex.com and I’d like to help with your concerns. Firstly, I am sorry for any problems you have experienced with our site. After checking your account, I can see that you signed up for the 7 day free trial membership. As with any membership or subscription trial, if
you do not cancel before the end of the trial, you will automatically
be charged for your first month to avoid any disruption in service.
Additionally, we send out emails welcoming you to the membership and an
email is sent before your trial is ending. Although
your payment is not eligible for a refund under our terms of service,
as a courtesy to you we have refunded the membership payment for you.
The funds are made available to your bank the next business day; however, the bank may take 3-5 business days to release the funds back to your account depending on their policy. I hope that I have resolved your concerns to your satisfaction. Please let me know if there is anything else I may assist you with and I would be happy to help. I had a problem with my desktop(approximately last july) I paid a $1 fee to join for 30 days. they never did help me fix my computer and I thought that was the end of it. then 30 days later I got a bill for $28,because I did not opt out of their service. I did call in and opt out.I thought that was the end of it.skip to today.I get another call from them saying if I don't opt out they will charge me $399.I see from your website that I am not the only one having trouble with just answer.if you can help me to have them leave me alone I would appreciate it.

Firstly, I am sorry for any problems you have experienced with our site. Once a membership on JustAnswer is cancelled, there's no way we would charge you again, without you turning the membership back on yourself. Also, we do not have any programs that cost $399. It sounds like you may have us confused with another company.I
hope that I have resolved your concerns to your satisfaction. Please

I am rejecting this response because:
Sincerely,
J*** B. I did cancel a membership(i did not want in the first place)last year. why then is just answer still contacting me ?i believe it is because I did not contest a $28 charge(with the Revdex.com)which I should have done at the time.maybe just answer can give a false legitimacy by donating part of their $1 trial fee to charity.the voice mails they are continuing to leave me are not clear, but it seems to me they want me to opt out for their service, which I already have,or there will be another charge(to me). why is this company still contacting me?i will never want their (services) again,I see no reason for them to contact me , so why are they continuing to do so?i can see that I am not the only one having a problem with just answer, because when you type just answer into google it takes you right to the Revdex.com complaint section.I have no desire to talk to anyone at just answer so if you,the Revdex.com,would act as intermediary, tell just answer to stop contacting me.there is no chance of them ever getting any more money out of me,which it seems is their goal. my bank is already been made aware of the situation and any efforts to squeeze me for any more money will be fruitless on just answer's part..if they do not stop contacting me I will continue to work with the Revdex.com until they do.
Hello,
Thank you for your response. I understand you say that someone is contacting you, however we do not contact customers to ask them to join or remain in the membership, it is completely optional to the customer. If you are certain that the calls are coming from Justanswer, you can reach *** at *** Let him know that you filed a Revdex.com complaint and about the calls so he can look into it for you.
I hope that I have resolved your concerns to your satisfaction. Please let me know if there is anything else I may assist you with and I would be happy to help. Best regards, *** Senior Customer Support Specialist

I am rejecting this response because:
Sincerely,
J*** B it was just answer who called me 7 months after I did opt out. the number they called from was(818)651-7937. my question is, if I opted out last year why is just answer contacting me 7 months later?i don't want their "service",I don't want any calls from them, and they will not get any more money from me.they are still trying to contact me(leaving voice mails,as I won't pick up).what is their purpose in these continuing calls?if they do not stop I will continue to file a complaint with the Revdex.com until they do so.just answer needs to move on and harass others and they in turn will keep the Revdex.com busy with their complaints about just answer. it won't be hard for them because all they have to do is type just answer into google and it will direct them to the Revdex.com.
On August 12 2019, I contacted JustAnswer.com for advise about repairing a small outboard motor and was put through to a mechanic to whom I spoke to for about 3 minutes and ended up using a method other than the one suggested to repair the motor.
I certainly did not subscribe to a full time membership at Can $ 69./month as I just found my Mastercard has been charged for the last 7 months.
I spoke to someone at that company who proposed to refund only 2 of the 7 billing months.
Except for the original short conversation with a mechanic, I did not use any of their services and expect to be refunded in full except for the cost of my original contact with a mechanic, The cost that I agreed to and paid was Can $ 54.

A $5 answer ended up costing me $264 when I didn't realize that I was signing up for a monthly subscription. My wife was dying and I didn't get a chance to check my visa bills until four months has passed. The site purports to help people with limited computer skills (me) and rips them off.
My wife died.
A ripoff that a senior on their pensions can't afford!
The Revdex.com rating system apparently doesn't accept a zero star rating.
Hello David,

The membership bills at the end of the 7-day trial in order to avoid an interruption in service.

I signed up for $5.00 to have one question answered. The "expert" did not answer my question on appraisal but instead told me to go to web sites to sell what I had asked an appraisal on. Then, JustAnswer charged me $60.00 and when called, they would not refund $55.00.

I went to ***.com to try to resolve an issue that I had.
I was told finally after waiting a few days that there was nothing that they could do and that I needed to consult a lawyer in my area.
So I tried to cancel my account with them, but then they said I didn't cancel it in time, so they have now charged me for Dec. 2019 and Jan. 2020 for $70.00 for each month.
I have tried to get them to refund me the money, but so far no luck, because they say I didn't cancel my account.
I believe that this site is just a scam to get your money.

On 4th December 2019 I asked a question of Mr. *** from Just answer company and paid the trial 5 euro . I gave my credit card details to the website and I got my answers. I decided not to continue with the service because I have found it costs very high. I cancelled my membership before the trial week ended . I removed also my credit card details from the website. However on 13th Dec I got charged "JUSTANSWER MEMBERSHP ***" 44 euro.
Today I have found that I got charged . I called the customer support and they told me that I cancelled my membership on 31st of December, which I never remember doing that (Last day of the year). I remember that I cancelled my membership before the end of 7 days trial.

Use the trial system and they don’t give a location to cancel your trial they are continuing to charge me for a service I do not want because I was in a tight spot and used their $5 trial service. They tell me it’s my responsibility to search out information they have purposely hidden so that you cannot cancel!

Signed up for a $5.00 7 day trial. Was told I would be notified when the trial was over - was not notified and now they have taken 28.00 from my account. They told me too bad. These people are highly unethical and give me an answer I could have found myself. I would like my 28.00 back.

Overcharged, Not served. Promised $1 trial. Charged $5.00. Efforts to log in for second question required repeated entry of credit card information but no ability to complete log in. Dog becoming increasingly ill. Didn't get phone number until reporting transaction to bank. Promised two timed call backs but not delivered.
One good interaction this evening in an effort to mend matters. Then told all account information closed because of reports to federal and state agencies. Supervisor told me we were done, When I asked her to be honest, she said we were going to battle.

I see I should have checked this site before using their "service". I had one question about why I could not get on my account on my updated work computer. Confusing "help" and no solution to my problem. I had to research on my own and fix the problem. I want to cancel this useless service but they have you tied in with seven days. I called on the next day I was at work and they refused to return my $46 and this person, who must be in some other country, could not/would not give me a contact to which to complain. This is a rip off company. Google should have someone who can help with problems and delete this company from their sight. As with some may others - SCAMMED AGAIN. One star is too high!

I wish I could leave ZERO stars. I used the “free trial” which cost me $5 for 1 day and was never made aware that this was going to translate into a full membership after 7 days. I was told I supposedly received an email letting me know that my card was going to be charged $29 if I did not cancel the trial. I never received that email. Ridiculous customer service. They need to make it clear then when you sign up that they will be charging you an additional $29 after the trial, EVEN IF you only used the membership for one day which they can clearly see.

While they answered my printer question as best they could during the trial period, they would not honor the cancellation I made two days ahead of the cancellation period. I did that because we went ahead and got a new printer and did not need the overpriced service of $46 a month.
All attempts do deal with this by phone on the FIRST DAY of the monthly fee I saw in my bank account were met with resistance. I emailed them, too, and got the same runaround. Being that several other trial period customers ALSO cancelled online and theyh did not go thru (they claim all of us never asked for cancellations), I can only conclude this is a SCAM.
Not worthy of your time nor of their service. Don't use them!

I am not tech savvy at all and was completely amazed that I could sit at my desk and the technician could resolve my issue from a different country even, Thank you Vasanth Kumar who was very helpful
So helpful and such a relief to get a quick answer from a doctor.
I used the site to see if they could help me with an issue I was having with my wash machine. I accepted the $5 fee for the 7 day trial but warning... read the small print... I didn't cancel the subscription and after day 7 I was charged $28 and was going to be charged $28/month until you cancel. I was able to cancel by account before I was hit with another charge but they wouldn't do anything about the first $28. Back to my wash machine, their expert contacted me right away and helped me diagnose the issue. He told me I needed a new computer board and gave me the part number to order it. I went on Amazon and ordered it and in the mean time took a close look at the washer and found the problem and fixed it. I returned the computer board but was not credited the entire purchase amount so their expert cost me an additional $72 for a part I really didn't need.
