JUST ANSWER JUST DOESN'T ANSWER!
I have asked two questions in the past two months. After 7-10 days (each time), my card was billed, the answer was labeled “closed” (resolved), But I never received an answer! Truer online chat with customer care. Both times, they apparently weren’t receiving my responses, as they disconnected due to my “non-response.”
Tomorrow, I will call them. They used to provide very upstanding, prompt services. But JUST ANSWER JUST DOESN'T ANSWER!
Hello Tommy,
Thank you for getting in touch with us about this. We're sorry for any delay that you've experienced in getting a reply.
in looking at your accounts, it appears that you've come back to the website several times in the last year to post questions, but it appears that each time you come back, you register a new account. When you do this, this will close the previous account and make receiving, or viewing, the answers that you've received, impossible.
What we recommend is each time you come back, be sure to LOGIN to your existing account so that you can continue to have conversations with the Experts.
We will reach out to you privately about this as well. In the meantime, please don't hesitate to reach out if you need any further assistance,
Regards,
JustAnswer Customer Care
I was having trouble with my Maytag dishwasher. I went to the Maytag online site listed in the owners manual. Thinking I was talking to a Maytag rep, I clicked on Just Answer and paid the $5. Then I realized it wasn't Maytag at all. It's deceitful! Leads you to believe you're speaking with someone else. Because I feel outright lying is unacceptable, I'm giving them one star, for being creative (deceptively).

Hello Cheryl,
Thank you for getting in touch with us about this. We're sorry for any confusion that you experienced.
It seems like you navigated to our website by mistake, perhaps through an advertisement. We are not affiliated with Maytag, or any other manufacturer, however we do have appliance repair Experts on the website that can help diagnose and troubleshoot the issues that you are having.
We have since closed your question and issued a refund for the $5.00 deposit.
We do hope that you were able to connect with the manufacturer for assistance.

ITS A SCAM! I was communicating with a legitimate business on a supposed secure link when this communique seemed to pop up on their link asking for a card #, which I thought odd at the time. Then stated a charge of $1.00 m, refundable, when my business was finished. Still Odd. I complied thinking I was communicating with the original company.
Not until sometime later did I come to realize I had been scammed when this billing appeared on a reply thru my email. Only then did I learn the identity of “ just answer “.
Somehow my secure connection was compromised by “ just answer “ and completely taken over them. The original company is still unaware of this action by “ just answer “ as I have only even able to contact them as yet via voice communication. I will rectify this on 1-20-20.
To gain what they did from me in the manner in which they did constitutes “ fraud”!

Did not notify me that my free trial was almost up and now refuses to refund my money.
Paid $5. Online rep stated it was just a pending charge. Was NOT told about $47 charge after one week. “Lawyer” didn’t answer my question. Suggested we could talk on the phone for $29. I declined. NO answers—- ONLY scam for money. I’m disputing transaction with my bank.
WHAT A SCAM!!!!!!!!!
I PAID THE 5.00 THEN THEY CHARGED ME 50.00 WHICH I NEVER AGREED TO. I CALLED TO CANCEL AND GET MY REFUND. SHE CANCELLED BUT WOULDNT REFUND ME MY 50.00. I ONLY ASKED 1 QUESTION FOR THE 5.00 AND NEVER ASKED ANOTHER ONE. SO GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK. YOU PEOPLE ARE SCAMMING US.

I will be contacting an attorney as I can see I am far from alone in my concerns about how the credit card transaction was handled. I requested a one time contact for a question I had about the value of an antique. It was not my intention to purchase a monthly membership and have no need for one. I had difficulty understanding the person to whom I am speaking and after reading the last reviews, I have no hope of recourse through the company. This is so upsetting I am willing to pay a retainer to have this handled and hope it helps others not get scammed. Shame on JustAnswer and Jeff Cavellini, their CEO.
Said it would cost $1 to ask question. Not helpful AT ALL. Did not answer question then got charged $46
The same is true with me. They kept charging me $53 for many months on my credit card. I have been to their site only once. The answer I was given that it is that trial membership is automatically converted to monthly membership. I have not used this site other than that one time and have to pay a heavy price for that. This practice of trial membership and auto conversion has to stop!!!! New users signing on please be careful of their trial membership!!!
They will take money even when you cancel your service. I cancelled my service the day after getting my answer.
But they still charged me 2 months after I cancelled
I signed up for 5.09 to ask question and I swear it said one time fee. They charged me 60.00 today because they said I signed up for a trial. I asked for refund they refused! I think this company is a scam!
I'd give them no stars if I could. I just moved into my new home and contacted them about an issue with my freezer not making ice timely. I was asked if I wanted to spend $5 for a response from a 'professional'. I figured $5, sure I can afford that, I'm retired and on a fixed income. What they didn't bother to share with me was that they were enrolling me in a monthly plan at $37.00 a month, which made me short for the month. Don't fall for it. Go to the manufacturer for you answers or a professional you can see in the flesh and blood.
Just Answer charged my bank account $46 for asking a question. Since I have never heard of Just Answer and when I went to their website I was sure that I had never seen the page before. I called Just Answer and got no satifaction. When I asked if another company had submitted the question the person who answered the phone said that I had submitted the question myself. The question included information about a problem I had had with Microsoft, but I pay Microsoft for their own answering service. I'm concerned that Just Answer had this information--where did they get it and how did they know my name, my internet address, the name of my bank, and the account number? I was able to cancel the subscription, but Just Answer refused the refund my money because "it was past the 30-day deadline" for requesting a refund. I believe that I was the victim of a scam.
PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY !!!!!
I used the JustAnswer "expert" (except he was not) to try to hook up my new Roku Smart Soundbar to my TV that does not have the ARC nor the optical connection. This "expert" had NO CLUE what I was talking about, asked for the specs on the TV and soundbar (I sent pics) and TOOK FOREVER to answer absolutely nothing.
I did get a "solution" from him, but it was not correct and was offered a 'free' second opinion. THAT NEVER happened. Instead, I was sent an email that said, "It looks as if you got a resolution so I am going to close this transaction." I explained I was looking for a second opinion and got another email saying, "It looks as if you are asking the same question you have already gotten a response to -- we are closing the transaction."
I tried to unsubscribe to the UNBELIEVABLE AMOUNT of emails that kept coming in. I unsubscribed about 5-6 times and they kept coming and kept coming and kept coming and kept coming. Resolutions to my question, surveys, invitations to sign up.
It was very difficult to find out where and how to stop my trial. I wrote and asked how to stop it and did get a reply, but it was VERY DIFFICULT to 'find' where they had directed me. I wonder if this is on purpose so you'll give up and let them charge you? After I found out how, STILL MORE EMAILS about how sorry they were, would I like to reconsider, MORE SURVEYS!!!
It has been a couple of weeks and I am STILL GETTING EMAILS AND SURVEYS!!! It is a HORRIBLE company and experience and I can't get them to LEAVE ME ALONE !!!
I signed for the trail, they overlooked my cancellation I was in hospital and did not look at my bank statement they had taken 4months membership. I wrote to them and was very surprised I received and immediate response and my money was refunded in 2/3 days, well done Justanswer burnel penhaul
I had signed up on Jan. 4 for a $1.00 trail. It was for 7 days. Today is the 7th day. My credit service wanted to know if I had charged $46 with a thing called Just Answered. I called Just Answer and was told that this is the 8th day, and that the 4th was the first day. So whatever time I signed up on the 4th, the whole day was charged. I called back to try and explain why I thought it was the 7th day but met the same policy, without any means of talking to someone in charge. I was frustrated enough just to say goodbye. Thus this is the 8th day not the 7th. When I pointed out that the 4th to the 5th was the first day, I was dismissed with well that's the policy. I have to admit that I got a little irritated and finally said, so it cost me $46 dollars to find out that I would never recommend this service to anyone, and since it was cancelled I received nothing but the lesson of, there is no room for discussion. So, thank you Just Answer, but I would rather have my $46.00 that I paid for nothing.
Hello James,
Thanks for letting us know about this. We're sorry for any confusion about the payment for the site.
The membership trial is 7-days long and the billing occurs at the end of the 7th day, or after 196 hours (7x24). In this case, the 4th to the 5th was the first day, the 5th to the 6th was the second day, all the way through where the 10th to the 11th was the 7th day. The billing occurred at the end of the 7th day, which was on 1/11/2020.
We can confirm that your membership was turned off and the most recent membership charge on the account was refunded. you will see no further recurring billing. You can continue to use the website to post questions as you need but you will be asked to place a deposit on a question-by-question basis.
Please reach out to us if you need any further assistance and we're happy to help in any way we can.

Horrible! I will get the same standard response as all others from Just Answer, but it is a deceptive service to charge a membership fee of $60 for a membership that was never requested. I asked a question last week of an attorney (got an answer and no review is towards that attorney). I paid for my answer and NEVER requested membership, therefore, Just Answer standing by their deceptive small print is just shameful and likely the way they stay in business. They know they are deceptive (proven by the many same complaints on Revdex.com). So, let Just Answer bring on their standard response that they've given everyone else on this site with the same complaint, but I will continue to provide my commentary in the hopes that I can save someone from the same mistake. Again . . . . shameful.

They are a bunch of thieves who are just after your money!!!! I agreed to pay the 5 dollars for the 7 day trial period which was the ONLY time I used there services. I noticed a 40 dollar charge on January 6th 2020 and the day I noticed was on the 9th. I called that day on the 9th And asked them to reimburse my 40 dollars they charged me and they gave me a really hard time and said they were not going to reimburse me... please do not use this sight!!!! Your better off saving your money for a REAL doctor’s visit!!! If I could leave no stars I would!!

Your advisor was to the point and gave the info I needed in a language I could understand. I'm very grateful to her and felt much better when she explained my concerns. Thanks again
It’s great to be able to connect with an appropriate person for advice when necessary.
The answer was directed immediately, and that was super.
