I had been having some difficulty trying to get MS Live Mail to work properly. It's a vintage e-mail client produced by Microsoft. MS does not even support it any longer. I keep it on a machine, wherein I do little web browsing and communication with the outside world. The machine is used to trade oil futures contracts. I don't wish to have it infested with malware and viruses. Hence, an old seldom used e-mail client.

I called on JustAnswer to address my problem. Cody, the IT/Computer guy assigned to provide a solution to my problem, knew what he was doing and quickly got to the bottom line. I knew there was a host of misinformation related to the settings of MS Live Mail on the Internet. I got tired of trying all this ""stuff". Cody knew what the right answers were and quickly applied the.m. I'm quite happy with the service I received.

I had an answer in under 5 minutes. Going to Urgent care today.

I got a new TV on Black Friday and was having difficulty getting it hooked up to cable box and DVD player (even though I attached it in the same way as the old TV). I didn’t want to pay $149 to Geek Squad and Just Answers solved it!

DocPaul was good, so far it seems my cat had a minor stomach issue, he recommended Pepcid, and that fixed it. Saved a trip to the vet in the winter, so saved time and money. People seem to be having credit card issues here, so I’ll see if I do also. No, I did not see the membership fee anywhere, just a $5 deposit to email with the Doc. I was NOT told the Doc charge in advance...bad. After, I was charged $17, reasonable. I was also given an option to talk by phone for another $28. Since my issue was just not eating, and simple to explain, I did not choose that.
As long as my credit card is straight, I had a good experience. A lot of bad PR here about that issue, I hope they clean up their act.

Very helpful. Much assistance. Q. Q. Q. Q. Q. Q.

found a painting that had been in our family 60 years and needed to know if it was valuable. this was the cheapest, fastest and easiest way to find out that it was NOT!

For what little information I gave as my problem, they gave 'simple solution' answers which made me realize that once I connected my component Blu-Ray to the TV all I had to do was unplug the power cable from my Blu-Ray and plug it back in. Once doing that my Blu-Ray recognized it had a HDMI connection and started working.

I want to thank Just Answer for helping me get back into my new tablet.Saved me a big headache.

Very knowledgeable. Took care of my problem. A bit difficult to find what I needed to do on his directions......but we got it DONE!

Chris, the lawyer, has been very good with honest answers & good advice concerning my situation.
He has been very approachable & quick to reply & happy to consider different pathways in order to try to resolve the situation.
I am very happy with the JustAnswer service & would recommend it very highly.
my conversation with Chris in ongoing & I hope to post again in a few days.
I have read some reviews about confusion in billing & I hope this does not happen in my case.
Something to be aware of I guess.

If I could have left no stars I would have. This place is a rip off. I started with a $5 trial. I was told it would be $38 per month if I didn't cancel before the trial was over. A reminder would be sent to let me know trial period was ending. The first question I asked I was given the wrong answer. After much research I found the correct answer and gave it to the justanswer rep. A little backwards. The second question the reps answer was to check my user manual for instructions. 6 days after the trial started they charged my credit card $46. When I called customer care they pretty much told me, "too bad, your cancellation was too late coming in." She also told me that they have different rates, even though the website said $38 per month. That was why I was charged $46 instead of $38. What kind of answer is that? I would not recommend anyone use this business. They take your money to tell you to find your own answers.

Dr was great! Saved me a trip to the puppy ER.

First of all, I would give no stars if possible.

I called Apple to get advice regarding a message that came up on my phone early one morning on December 17, 2019. They said they could help me for a $1 fee (which turned out to be a trial membership) and I was transferred to Just Answer. I was given some very basic advice -- change your password and user ID. The woman who I spoke with said not to worry, I wouldn't be charged for a membership unless I chose to sign up and they would "alert me" with an e-mail before the trial membership was up. This is how they get you! There was no alert, though customer service assures me one was sent. I have thirteen emails from them telling me of all the wonderful service they provide. Not one email has any sort of "alert," "reminder" or anything of the sort. I called when I saw that I was being charged $46.00 on my bank card. I then called and was informed that I wasn't entitled to a refund because I agreed to their terms and conditions. However, I never received their terms or conditions other that what was said to me that early morning of December 17th. People should be aware that they will not follow through with their promise. I intend to make sure that I spread the word about this company and the way they operate to take advantage of people.

This is the report I filed with the FTC: I needed a replacement part for my washing machine, and the LG website directed me to justanswer.com, where I was told if I paid $5 (which I was assured was refundable), I could find out what part it was I needed. I warily entered my CC info and was informed that the $5 was for a 7-day trial, after which I would be charged the monthly membership fee of $37. There was some language to the effect of "don't worry, we'll remind you when your trial is up!" I got the answer to the question about my washing machine, and then proceded to get dozens of marketing emails from the company. I knew I wanted to cancel the trial but figured I'd wait until the reminder. I did not receive a reminder email, even though both representatives (Johnathan, then Marie) insisted that it had been sent to my email on 12/27/2019. Incidentally, there is strangely NO record of any kind of any email communication with this company in any mailbox on my computer, including the trash and junk folders. I must have received upwards of fifty emails, and I cannot find a single one, even the one that I had filed in my receipts folder. My CC was charged $37 on 1/2/20, although it only cleared my accounting softwear today (1/4/20). When I tried to chat with a customer service rep on their website, the connection was dropped three times. I then called the customer service number and spoke with Johnathan, and then his supervisor Marie. Marie informed me that there was no one in a supervisory role above her whom I could speak with, and she repeatedly told me that "as much as she would like to help me, the membership fee is not refundable." She again told me that there was no person I could speak with regarding this matter.

they charged me over 60$ for a 4$ membership. woke up with a 62$ deduction in my account called my bank and they told me this is who charged me. called them and was told I was charged a membership fee, which I apparently was auto singed up for after a (specifically chosen) one time use. the member ship fee was 4-6$ so why the hell was 60$ taken from me!?
yeah the auto membership sign up is obviously ae design but I would have been satisfied if the 6$ fee was all they charged but they stole from me a considerable amount.
I needed a medical question answered. Im in need of surgery. I am the sole caretaker of my chronically ill and disabled partner. The answers are bt and the company are a SCAM.

I woke up after Christmas to find a $5 charge on my bank account from a company called Just Answer Expert. After googling the company, I found a number and called it. I explained that I do not have an account with them, never have heard of them, and would never pay for asking a question on a website that claims to be experts. Well, the person on the other end wanted more and more personal info to "help get my refund." Nope, not happening. I had my bank take care of it all. My debit card was cancelled immediately. Upon talking with a *** from FB messenger, she attempted to intimidate me by saying we may have to go to litigation for the dispute, and that it would take even longer to get my money back. All she needed was this long list of info to locate my account, which I don't even have. Ha! So a heads up to anyone that has experience with this company......
Proceed with caution and don't give your info out. Don't let them bully you into thinking you have to give your info to them. I'm not sure if I would call it a scam or a fraudulent company, but I know their practices aren't right. Good luck.

Hello ***,
Thank you for getting in touch with us about this. We're sorry for any confusion or frustration that it sounds like you encountered.
Most companies will request the same information that we requested in order to locate an account on any website. Unfortunately, we weren't able to locate an account tied to the E-mail address or Phone number that you provided, so if you were charged, we would need to collect some of the billing information associated with the charge to check our billing records.
Chargebacks can take a long time so we usually prefer to attempt to locate the account and issue a refund if we can.
If you need any other assistance, please don't hesitate to reach back out to us and we're happy to help.

I also was caught not reading the fine print on the 7 day trial. It cost $5. It cost another $37, which I stupidly seen and assumed that it probably was for an annual membership. The next month my bank called me to question a pre-authorization on my account for another $37 as a recurring charge. That was on Dec 23rd, 2019. I immediately called Just Answer customer service and accused them of running a scam and demanding refunds. They said that they could not refund any the $37 charged the month before but would cancel the membership and stop the charge for December. On the 26th, they did another pre-authorization on my bank account and today, the 28th shows they got it. I called their customer service again. I was told that the membership was cancelled on the 23rd, but would not refund the charge even though it was taken afterward. I asked to talk to supervisor, but was told that no one was available, but a supervisor would call me as soon as they were done with other customers. So far I have not heard from them. Apparently, they must have a lot of unhappy customers. So, yes I would discourage everyone to avoid using the JustAnswer company. The bad part of the internet are the bad actors that will scam you. If so many people have issues with the membership charges that are difficult to stop, why wouldn't a reputable company change? Customer satisfaction is paramount. The idea that they can give good results justifies legally overcharging you is wrong!

Nearly impossible to cancel. Customer service is awful. They give you the run around and refused to refund months of fees when I had canceled my trial. Do not sign up.
