After my $1 free trial initiated 8/16/19, where I asked just one question, I have been billed $46 in each of 5 months since then, during which I made absolutely no use of the service, and despite my request to cancel, which referred me to speak to a call center in Korea. I am a senior citizen with limited resources and feel trapped in a scam I cannot afford. Buyers beware!
A friend of mine passed away and left me items that I did not know the origin or value of. Rarewares with JustAnswer is very knowledgeable and answered me quickly
Great help setting up my wireless printer. Very thorough and courteous.
Fast answers right on point very helpful saved me hundreds
Super fantastic excellent wonderful divine supreme superb incredible great Sublime
This is my second time to review in a few days because for some odd reason, my last review does not even appear on here. This company is scamming people. I paid $5 for nothing. I was then told a refund was issued and it was never issued. This is ridiculous. I cannot imagine how much money you are sucking out of people who just don't care enough to demand their money back.
This is the worst customer service. I had a charge of $60.00 on my bank account that I did not authorize. I called and then was told that I had to go on line to cancel the charge. They would not let me. they kept telling me that my one time payment of $5.00 that I had done for a friend of mine that needed to ask a question for a divorce now turned into a membership. I did not ask for that and let them know that I was not interested. They would not refund my money and continued telling me what good service I was going to get. This is not what we signed up for. Both on the phone and on line the customer service was horrible. This is not a way to do business. I agreed to a 7 day trial as I only need to ask a question for my friend. I believe that this a switch and bait. They told my to read the terms and conditions and have a great day. Unacceptable!

This is the biggest scam.. I was told I would be able to ask a question. Got no answer and no resolution to a problem. In fine print they said I had to cancel a "trial" within 7 days, but I never got any notification, just a charge of $46 for NO SERVICE and NO RESOLUTION and NO REFUND. I'd advise anyone to stay away from these people.
Your membership is automatically renewed and you will never be notified. You will never get an email from them. If you try to do an online chat to find out about your membership, you will get a robot. Then when you are talking to the robot, they will randomly decided they are done and end the chat. There will be no information in your account telling you when and if your membership renews. It will just quietly happen. And when you finally find that elusive 1800 number and talk to a real person, they will scream at you. TERRIBLE experience.
Hello Monique,
We apologize for any confusion, the experience that you described here does not appear to be the experience that we are seeing in your account nor in the calls or contacts that you had with our Customer Care team.
In looking at your account we can see that you have bene using the membership very frequently, especially in the last month, up until today actually.
We have also listened to the call that you had with our customer care representative and the call appears to be very pleasant all the way through on both sides and you appeared happy upon leaving the call.
We will reach out to you privately to gather some more context for your complaint here and we do look forward to hearing back from you.
Regards,
JustAnswer Customer Care
I really liked this company at first and the last few years, they have become horrible. The system barely functions.

I asked for a cancellation after not being able to get the help I needed. I later discovered I was charged two months, and told there were no refunds after calling customer service. When asked to speak to a manager, I was told there was none available. I advised that I would remain on the line and wait for one. Only then did the representative, Carl, say he would refund the charges.
I also have been charged 46/mo for a membership I didn't sign up for! No refund they bilked me for that 46/mo. I've read complaints on here although there are those TOKEN praise reviews that this place made on their own. I am not even going to call them a company. It's a scam ?? to say a person INADVERTENTLY SIGNED UP for MEMBERSHIP they don't even know about. How CONDENCEDING can you be, you're not going to CONVINCE me that I inadvertently did it on my own,(OR THE OTHER PEOPLE ON THIS SITE WITH THE SAME EXACT COMPLAINT it's BUNK! I also read the details of the Revdex.com ratings given and it LOOKS like the Revdex.com needs to investigate when too many of us say we didn't know we signed up for the membership? Revdex.com has standards and they should consider enforcing the standards they hold. I've cancelled, am also going to use other precautions against them. Really can't wait for the TOKEN courtesy condenceding reply that you see here on the Revdex.com site. All these complaints over answering such thought provoking questions that can't be answered without this top notched upstanding site ????????
It is my fault that I did not closely monitor this specific bank account. This account was the original account used to pay the $ 5.00 fee for a 7 day trial with "JUST ANSWER". I asked 1 question got my reply, it was helpful. Since then they have continued taking money without my permission. When I noted the monthly debit and cancelled I was told it took place because of the "Automatic" renewal clause. Also there are "no refunds" as per company policy. One question 10 months ago cost me $28.00 a month for 10 months or $ 280.00 plus the original $ 5.00 fee for the 7 day "trial". I have called them and cancelled so far without results. I have asked for a refund and been stonewalled and told repeatedly "no refunds".
"Buyer Beware" is just not strong enough for this type of shady company that will take advantage of anyone who trusts them. This type of "small print" tactic is what gives internet commerce a bad name.
I never gave them permission to continue charging me, I was never asked if I wanted to continue after the 7 day "trial" and I never agreed to being robbed forever.
DO NOT EVER TRUST "JUST ANSWER". Just run away as fast as you can. To give this company an A+ rating is a joke, shame on the Revdex.com.
Hello ***,
Thanks for letting us know about this. We're glad to hear that you received good advice from the Appliance Technician but we're sorry for any confusion about the payment for the site.
The membership charge amount and information is presented to all customers on the payment page prior to entering any billing information. After the question is posted and the membership is agreed to, we send a receipt E-mail, as well as a payment reminder E-mail, 3-days prior to the recurring billing.
We can confirm that your membership was turned off, and that you will see no further recurring billing. You can continue to use the website to post questions as you need and you will be asked to place a deposit on a question-by-question basis
Please reach out to us if you need any further assistance and we're happy to help in any way we can.

Bait and switch. You may very well reach an expert, but don't try it unless you are very actively monitoring your membership (i.e. "trial" vs. premium) and I'd strongly recommend paying with a prepaid credit card with ONLY the amount you want to spend. They convert you to a much more expensive membership mode without authorization "To keep on saving, you don’t need to do anything. To pass it up, go here or email vip(at)***."
Bummer for you if this email doesn't get read in a timely manner.
Reminds me of "tape of the month" clubs from yesteryear. Yes, they do have actual experts. Yes, their business model is specifically designed about automatic upgrades and aggressive charges to whatever account you volunteer to them.
If I could give a 0 star rating I would. I canceled the $5 charge back in September and I never asked for a membership with *** now I have been charged $92 that's non-refundable. This company is a SCAM and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, I would advise everyone to find a different service. Their customer service is terrible as well, no help what so ever just a reminder that "when you signed up, it was in the terms" but I don't remember ever seeing it there. Save your time, your family, and friends from this company because they will take your money in a heartbeat and tell you it's non-refundable. I'm just a kid, that charge put me short on a car payment and they have taken no responsibility for it.
Just Answer is a scam popup service when calling Google support.

Terrible f
king company. They need to refund my funds or I’m leaving a negative review everyday. They suck, the vet who answered my questions didn’t even want to hear all the info I had to give. Just rushed everything. Please refund me my money, NOW! Horrible and will never advise anyone to use this. How can I log into something and cancel when I have no credentials??? They need to refund ASAP!
I am very upset. My elderly father was trying to sign up for YouTube.tv and had a question. Somehow he was mischievously diverted to JustAnswer and in trying to get an answer from google.com he was deceived to think JustAnswer was a part of Google and in the confusion joined JustAnswer. He has since cancelled, but how the hell did this happen?
Hi there Michael,
Thanks for letting us know about this. We're sorry for any frustration that was experienced.
It sounds like your father navigated to our site by mistake. This happens more frequently with elderly web users that have less experience on computers and the internet in general.
We're happy to hear that it sounds like his account has been taken care of. it might be helpful to take a look at his browser history to trace the steps that he took. There are also basic computer classes for older users that are offered at many local community colleges, that might be helpful.
If you have any other questions about the site or the service that we offer, please don't hesitate to reach back out to us.

My husband asked one question in August, ( never received an answer that worked) and never used the site again. Just spoke to a representative after noticing that we have been charged $184.00 since our one question. The only answer was you didn't cancel in time and excepted the terms of agreement. No where can I easily find on the JustAnswer website the terms of agreement or when you accept this. The only thing that was continually told to me by the representative I was questioning about these charges is that JustAnswer is A plus rated Revdex.com company. I will be contacting the Revdex.com to report my interaction with this company.
Not only was there advice no help, but when I paid they automatically enrolled me as a subscriber. Very close to a scam. No possible way to get a refund. I would say this is not a reputable service.
Hello Joe,

In looking into your lengthy conversation with the technician it seems like you were happy with the assistance, rated him positive and never contacted customer support about being dissatisfied.
