I needed veterinary advice for my cat while we were traveling with him and we were several hours away from home. I reached out with questions and received great advice that gave me an action plan and peace of mind. I’m very grateful.

I was stuck in the middle of laundry with a warning sign that came on my machine and was unable to find the answer on how to deal with this online or in my manual. One quick call to JusyAnswer and I was able to unlock my machine and continue with my laundry. Very polite and extremely professional people.

For someone who isn't too computer literate, the instructions were written so that I could follow them. And after being driven crazy with my computer being in negative mode, my eyes were very tired. Would recommend this website for computer questions.

I think 5 measly starz ISN'T sufficient to describe these guyz!!!! I contacted them out of desperation and was speechless with the prompt and EXTREMELY informative service! My question had several elements so I was not surprised it took a tad bit longer than 30 minutes. The response I received was equally as detailed as my question. I was surprised that only one clarification question was asked [included in the fee because you CAN converse back and forth until resolution] which enabled the professional to zero right in on my concerns.

Highly recommend this service; it truly ROCKS!

I lost my cell phone
The advice I received as to what process to go through was very prompt and had very positive results. I am a low tech person but I was able to download all my phone data from my home computer to the cloud and a map identified where my phone was. I went to that location and the people who found it had handed it in and it was returned to me. So a very positive result.

However I do not like this "monthly membership" thing which can be misleading and it is very difficult to cancel. Sometimes it can be just a "one off" problem which you want solved and are quite happy to pay for to get resolved, and ongoing monthly payments are therefore not necessary.
My experience with the monthly membership type thing is that you end up having to cancel the credit card it is being charged to, just to get rid of it. The cancellation procedures should be made very clear and be simple to implement.

I joined JustAnswear because I was going through a custody issue with my kids after. I’m in law enforcement so I know the law, however when it comes to matters of the heart sometimes it’s hard to focus. I wasn’t sleeping and couldn’t afford a lawyer...but also couldn’t handle the stress about worrying about the “what if’s”. The lawyers
On here we’re so kind and helpful. I even had a phone consultation with them. I would recommend this service to anyone who has anything they are concerned about. I was going to cancel after the 5 day trial but this site is worth every penny!

Just waiting to see what happens. The answer I got didn't help, I haven't tried them since. I was worried about getting involved. In fact I wrote the guy and told him I didn't want their services. We'll see, I'll let you know.

On Sunday, May 19, 2019 I joined JustAnswer to ask a question about by 1999 Ford Taurus Wagon. My understanding was that I could ask my question under the Trial Price: $5.00. On May 19, 2019 at 11:36 AM, ***) confirmed my trial membership of $5.00 with a Membership Renewal on 05/26/2019. On that date, if I did not cancel before, a Monthly Membership Price of $34.00 would be charged to my Visa. My Order ID was ***

My question was answered by Wayne Crawford on May 19, 2019 at 11:47 AM. *** e-mailed me again on Wednesday, May 22, 8:12 PM to check if I had any other questions.

On or before May 26, 2019 I cancelled my membership on-line (I believe it was May 22, but I did not print the conformation, my 1st error). I confirmed this with a telephone call (I believe this was May 23 before I left on a trip, but I again did not write down the name of the person I spoke with and time of the call, my 2nd error). At this point, I considered the matter settled.

After this I made my largest error, I did not closely check my credit card expenditures. I only paid the total due.

On November 20, 2019 my wife (*** received our bill from Chase Slate Visa and inspected the charges, finding a charge from JustAnswer for $34.00 on October 10, 2019. Upon calling Chase on November 22, 2019 we discovered that charges of $34.00 has been occurring since June, 2019 (for the May membership). We informed Chase to stop further payments. We were advised to call JustAnswer to attempt to receive reimbursements for back payments made and conformation that our account was closed.

On November 22, 2019 at ~6:10 PM my wife and I phoned JustAnswer to ensure future billings will cease, our account is closed and make an attempt to receive back payments. We spoke with “Rome” during a confusing conversation.

1) Rome at first confirmed that our account with JustAnswer was closed on May 26, 2019.
2) Rome then went on to state that the case could not be closed with a phone call. He asked if we received an e-mail stating that the case was closed. We stated that we could not find one. When we later asked for an e-mail confirming our conversation for the current phone call and the account closure, he stated that JustAnswer does not send e-mails on phone conformations.
3) Rome then proceeded to inform us that we did not pay our May bill. However, we have proof of payment for May on our June Visa billing, and on each month to our November Visa billing.
4) Repeatedly asking if the case was now closed, Rome informed us that our case was closed November 7th when our Visa expired. However, our Visa has not expired. The billing date on our November Visa bill is from 10/10/2019. We have still never received any conformation that our JustAnswer account is closed, now or on November 7th.
5) When asked how this matter can be settled, Rome stated that we would need to send an e-mail to [email protected] and an investigation would be conducted (this e-mail was sent 11/24/2019).

From what you have stated in your complaint it sounds like you tried to cancel your membership on time, but it was not done in a way that was recorded by the site. We are unable to find any communication with customer service from May because those communications are purged after 90 days and are no longer available.

Your account is showing that the August, September, and October payments were dispute with your bank or card issuer and have been returned to you via chargebacks. As a courtesy to you, we have refunded the remaining membership payments for you for June and July. The funds are made available to your bank the next business day; however, the bank may take 3-5 business days to release the funds back to your account depending on their policy.

Moving forward, you will not see any recurring membership charges. The account is now on a pay-per-question basis and will only be charged when a new question is posted. In the future, if you would like to have the membership reinstated, please let us know.

A couple of weeks ago, I asked a legal question and was routed to a screen asking for a credit card number and that in order to get an answer to my legal question, I would be charged $5.00. Apparently, I did not read the fine print. The $5.OO evidently was for a 7 day trial. If you did not cancel within 7 days, you would be billed a membership fee. I noticed that my account was charged $53 for a recurring membership. I immediately called the customer service line of Just Answer. com. I was told they could cancel my membership (that I knew nothing about), but they could not refund the $53. I really feel like I've been scammed. I have learned a very painful lesson and will never, ever give out my credit card information online. Just Answer is just a money grabbing company and even though I very innocently did not realize what I was getting myself into, they have refused to refund my money. They have $53 of my money that I really can't afford to hand over right now and I received nothing in return. I am requesting them to refund my $53....call me naive, stupid, or whatever, but I honestly did not realize I had to cancel a 7 day trial membership.

This site is a JOKE! I wanted a simple, quick answer; which I got AND PAID for. 12 days later my account was charged $46.99!! I called the representative and stated I wanted a refund as I'm not using their "services" nor did I know my account would be charged an insane amount!
The representative claims "it states no refunds are made in the disclosure" and he will not issue a refund. What a horrible business to get you hooked in so they can steal your money.
I will NOT be returning and I pray no one else does.
This company (if you can call it that) is very distasteful and they do not care about their customers. Just trying to gain a quick buck by debiting your account as quickly as possible.

This is a scam they take money off ur credit card and they don’t want to refund it . A company that steals is not good for senior citizens and they need to be stop

I went on this website after searching a question 11/12/19 In order to get the answer to the question I searched I had to sign up for a trial membership that I was just going to cancel once I got the answer. I didn't feel the need to pay a membership fee just for an answer to a question one time. I awaited an email of some kind to cancel. I never received one. 11/23/19 I was going over my bank statement and noticed a recurring charge of $46 from this company. I called the number on my statement to inquire about the charge. The representative stated that I signed up on the 12th for a 7 day trial and was emailed 3 days before the deadline and they didn't receive any action from me. I informed her I didn't receive an email. I looked through my emails while on the phone with her and still did not see any email. She stated it was sent on 11/16/19 and they can tell on their end if it was read, deleted, or spammed. I told her again I didn't see any email from them and I'm looking while on the phone. I requested a refund. She submitted a cancellation and said I will no longer receive charges but they can't refund my money because they sent out an email and I didn't respond to cancel before the trial end date of 11/19/19 I told her again I didn't receive any email and requested that she send me another email so I can be sure she has my correct email. She said a cancellation email will be sent. I told her I don't see it and she just kept repeating that it was sent to the email they have and all she can do is cancel my membership. I gave her my email and requested a refund of my money. She said they can not because I didn't respond to the email sent before the ending of the trial. I told her I couldn't respond to an email I didn't receive. She then said they could see on their end if the email was read or deleted. I asked her then what does she see on the email they sent? She didn't answer that question. She then repeated only that she could process the cancellation for no future charges but not a refund. I requested another email be sent to me because I still didn't see any email from them while on the phone. She placed me on hold, when she returned she repeated she can not refund my money and they did everything correctly on their end and I didn't respond to the email so the charge cannot be refunded. I asked for contact information from her for my lawyer to contact them because I had not received an email still and she's refusing to refund my money. She then said I already had the contact information provided in the email that was how I called and I could pass it to my lawyer. I told her I got the number from my bank statement not any email. Instead of trying to figure out why I was not receiving their emails she just kept repeating that it was sent on the 16th. She didn't offer any solutions or reasons as to why I didn't get an email. I told her I don't even see any in my spam. She said they did their part, they can see if I read it deleted it or spammed it, I didn't respond so all she can do is cancel so I won't get future charges and ended the call.
