I apparently am one of many folks who got schemed by Just Answer. I was trying to reload MS 2013 onto a new computer I purchased at the PX. It wouldn't load. I went on line to see what the MS community had to offer and "Just Answer" came up. The answer I saw on line did not work so I ignored the rest of the e-mails I kept receiving from them. I ended up calling Microsoft and they worked and solved the problem.

Now I find out I have "subscribed" to a monthly service that I do not want or need. This is a total scam. I called Just answer and requested a refund of the first month fee, $46.00. They refused saying I never cancelled my "free trial' within the 7 days as required in the "fine print". Since the answer I got didn't work I had no reason to continue with them. I have cancelled the membership and requested a refund they refuse. I was out of the country and was not able to get back to them until now. I want my money back.

After checking your account, I can see that you signed up for the discounted $1 question with the 7 day free trial membership. As with any membership or subscription trial, if you do not cancel before the end of the trial, you will automatically be charged for your first month to avoid any disruption in service. Additionally, we send out emails welcoming you to the membership and an email is sent before your trial is ending.

Per our terms of service that you agreed to when you enrolled in the membership, the membership payment is not eligible for a refund as stated in section 10, subheading "Refunds, Cancellations, Abuse and Special Programs" as follows;

Although your payment is not eligible for a refund under our terms of service, as a courtesy to you we have refunded the membership payments for you. The funds are made available to your bank the next business day, however, the bank may take 3-5 business days to release the funds back to your account depending on their policy.

I have been charged for 3 months of a JustAnswer membership that I was not aware of. I registered an account once to get feedback on a question about my sick puppy and was charged $5. I never once received anything else from JustAnswer about being charged. I am now out almost $100 which is something I absolutely cannot afford. I wish there was more communication on their end on monthly charges. All of my other monthly accounts let me know I am being charged. I think this is a huge scam and I feel taken advantage of AND I never even used the site after the one time question. I thought I was getting helpful, advice from a transparent and honorable site- I was wrong.

Even though I cancelled "membership" with this company the same day I joined, and even received confirmation of cancellation, there is a pending charge on my credit card that is there without my authorization.

Although they did reverse the charge they fraudulently made, they are lying in that I even received an acknowledgement of my cancellation back in July. This company is a scam and needs to be listed as such,

I had an infection on my left palm for more than 6 months, and I heard about Justanswers.com. I contacted them to request for a doctor. I was linked with a doctor, who recommended some topical medication, which I could only get on Amazon, and not in my country (Nigeria). I paid the doctor's service fee charge immediately, and I didn't request for a membership service or whatsoever.

But today 9th September, 2019. I wanted to make a withdrawal, and I discovered an amount of USD46 has been deducted from my account...After my initial session in which I paid, I tried reaching out to the customer care to request for my account detail to be removed from their database, but the efforts to reach them proves abortive.

I intern in a small organization, and I just got my stipend for the month. I now lack funds to cater for my welfare going forward in the new month, and I am feeling so depressed already.

Kindly use your good office, to ensure I get refunded of this money to enable me cater for my welfare.

It was easy and simple. All I had to do was type out what was going on with my dog. The solution, fortunately, was simple. I appreciate how much money I saved by going this route instead of taking my dog to the emergency vet on a Sunday. Thank you so much I can't say enough..

Helpful. The only complaint I have is that it said to go to a website and pay a $5, fully refundable deposit but when I checked my PayPal, it was charged $43. I don't mind paying for service, but nothing was said about that amount, only about the $5. It's misleading. That needs to be changed so you will know in advance. Other than that, *** was very helpful in a worrisome time and contacted me the next day to check on my dog.

I contacted Microsoft to receive help. After talking to there person for awhile, they said they needed to send me to a tech and to go through Just Answer for a temporary service for $1 and I would be emailed so I could discontinue the service and not be charged more.
I was not emailed my account information asking if I wanted to discontinue or keep the service- even checked my spam. I found a $40 charge on my card and called them up.
They said since I didn't cancel, they charged. But- I was unable to cancel since I wasn't emailed any account information. After a half an hour of arguing and them refusing to let me talk to a supervisor, they said they would cancel, but I am still charged the $40. I feel their company is deceiving and what a rip-off.

Been without my email for 2 weeks. Not tech savvy so very thankful for their help!

I was very happy with the Vet. that answered me back he was very smart and caring about my dog.
