I would like a refund. You guys charged me 50 when my membership trial had not expired.
I find that to be completely ridiculous & I want my money back. You guys have no right to just charge my card without my permission or an email stating that? I will dispute these charges and if I need to get legal services then I will. I find what you guys did to be very unprofessional. I signed up for this trial simply because half of the money went to charity. NOW YOU TAKE 51.00 AND ONLY .50 GOES TO THE CHARITY? THATS JUST RIDICULOUS!
Hello,
My name is Chase and I am with the customer care team at JustAnswer. I received a copy of your complaint filed through the Revdex.com and I’d like to help with your concerns.
Firstly, I am sorry for any problems you have experienced with our site.
After checking your account, I can see that you signed up for the discounted $5 question with the 7 day free trial membership. As with any membership or subscription trial, if you do not cancel before the end of the trial, you will automatically be charged for your first month to avoid any disruption in service. Additionally, we send out emails welcoming you to the membership and an email is sent before your trial is ending.
Per our terms of service that you agreed to when you enrolled in the membership, the membership payment is not eligible for a refund as stated in section 10, subheading "Refunds, Cancellations, Abuse and Special Programs" as follows;
***
Although your payment is not eligible for a refund under our terms of service, as a courtesy to you I can see that we have refunded the membership payment for you on 9/4/2019. The funds are made available to your bank the next business day, however, the bank may take 3-5 business days to release the funds back to your account depending on their policy.
I hope that I have resolved your concerns to your satisfaction. Please let me know if there is anything else I may assist you with and I would be happy to help.
Best regards,

I used JustAnswer regarding a Gmail issue I was having. I gave my details for a $1 fee to be taken for the service. According to them by giving them my bank details I gave them authorization to withdraw funds as a membership fee. They took
$1 August 26th
$39 August 28th
$40 August 31st
Yes they solved my problem and I am more than happy to pay the $1 or $% or whatever it is but I never knowingly gave them permission to withdraw any other funds or agree to a membership. Neither did I get any warning emails only an email asking if they'd solved my question.
I eventually spoke to a supervisor who just kept repeating over and over again that by giving them my account details I had authorized them to take further funds

Just to let you know that JustAnswer refunded my $79 earlier this week!
Many thanks for your help
I contacted JustAnswer for Real Estate Law advise. I was assigned ***. I was asked by this "expert" to restate my question over 8 times and still she did not understand. It was not a complex question. I became frustrated and questioned her legal qualifications. She became irate and accused me of insulting and threatening her! It was a very disturbing encounter. I contacted JustAnswer customer service and they were very attentive at first but then locked me out of my account so I could not leave a review of the "expert". They did promise to refund and cancel my membership. I will watch my credit card statement as I noted others on the complaint forum have struggled to get their refund.

I tried to get help to find a password from Just Answer. I wanted The 1 dollar trial. The web site is confusing so it had me become a member. I instantly had them cancel and refund my 38 dollars. When I tried to contact Jason it seems they then enrolled me in a new membership I was unaware off. I am 77 years old and after the initial refund they came back and charged me 40 dollars. They said I will not get a refund as I did not cancel. I did not know I was in a new membership and now they will not refund my money. I am on a fixed income and cannot afford this. I may be wrong but as I am not very computer savvy and feel their confusing website is a form of elder abuse. Please help me.

Unauthorized charges to credit card. Deceptive business practice. Was told $1 refundable trial charge and was charged $40. Was not informed any additional amount would be charged or I would not have proceeded. Can't cancel "membership" because username and password required to "sign in" but I never set up a username and password. I want full refund and cancellation of any and all "membership" or any other ongoing relationship.

This outfit charged me $46 for 5 months. they sent me no e mails to inform me I was being charged or about to be charged. Site is glichy. You think you cancel...... pop up window keeps appearing after you cancel to frustrate you. This is how they justify the non cancellation. What a goofy operation! Their star raitng should be no star but this system won't allow it so they get 1 star.

I joined a 7day trial was charged $1for the trial. I got my question answered and made sure that I cancelled my subscription which I would be charged $34 dollars monthly for before I left the website. I only needed to ask if a quote for damage done to a vehicle was a fair quote. After cancelling my membership, the person that I was messaging with from the website asking why I had cancelled. I told her this was a one time situation. I had gotten my answer and was not in need of a membership. I have been charged for 3 months for a membership I cancelled on 6/20/19. I called the company to complain and to get a refund. I have not used the service, cancelled my membership on the day I was online. I asked to speak to a manager, I was told I can not do that, I told them expect a refund, I was told I will not get one. This company is crap!!!!!! I will never do business with them and will tell anyone I can to never use it!!!!!!!!!

I signed up for the Just answer*** service which was advertised as a $5 fee. But instead of charging me that amount which was clearly advertised on their site, I was charged a membership fee of $53 for 2 months. I reached out to them by email twice and by phone and they insisted that I signed up for this service. When I asked for proof of my literally checking the box off, all I got were their policies. I wish that it was a bit clearer, since I would never had signed up for a service I would never use beyond that one time.
Thanks

Through tricky small print, this company appears to answer your question for a $5 fee, but then later charges your card $60 for a "subscription" and then refuses to reverse the charges when you call to dispute. I feel duped and I believe this company is making scores of money by hiding the real conditions of asking a "one time question". They need to refund to people who only needed one question asked and were falsely signed up for a subscription. It is ridiculous that in this day and time these shams are allowed to continue.

Very deceptive practice. I asked a question of a vet. They say that they sent me an email stating my trial membership was over which I never received. They then charged me a $29 monthly fee. When I finally got to the website that gives you the option to talk to someone in administration, I was told it was non-refundable even though it was still pending. Be careful to read the small print.
Hello ***,

I agreed to a one time charge for a question concerning a small appliance. I was billed $28.00 for that on my credit card in July.
I was billed another $28.00 this month (August) on my credit card. I called the company for an explanation as to why I was charged again and did not get a satisfactory answer. I was also told they could not refund my $28.00 for the August charge. I obviously cancelled the membership which I did not sign up for in the first place. I suspect this happens to a lot of people. Please look into this.

“Just answer” responds to requests as though they are the company requested. I requested Cuisinart info and 2 wks later Amazon info : they responded as though they are those companies then billed me for over $120.00 on my credit card. I NEVER gave them my card number. When I called them they hung up on me. They should identify themselves and state they charge huge amts of money .

Firstly, I am sorry for any problems you have experienced with our site.
We have Experts who can assist with problems with thousands or products and/or websites that may not offer customer service on their products, which is what our ads state. We do not represent in any way of being those companies or being affiliated with them. We are also clear that we are a pay question/answer site. Lastly, we absolutely do not 'steal' credit card information. Any information we have is provided by the customer themselves.
I checked your account and I can see all of the charges have been charged back by your credit card provider, except for the last one which was refunded by us on 8/12/2019.
I hope that I have resolved your concerns to your satisfaction. Please let me know if there is anything else I may assist you with and I would be happy to help.

I believe that this company uses fraud and deception to steal money from unsuspecting consumers. I was referred to them *** so I made the mistake of trusting them. Their "expert" said he had no experience with my issue. It took about an hour, but he did finally find a resolution.
Later that day I got a text notification that I have been double-billed the $39. Later that week, I got a charge of $46 for "membership".
Seems they have a $1 trial they make you take, and then they bill you $46 for a membership that is really undesired.
I believe they will wind up sued by the CA State Attorney General for their deceptive practices. Until they are sued out of business, make sure to avoid this disreputable company that is more interested in deceiving you to get more money than delivering value to their clients. I am cancelling my membership now before they charge me again!
Hello ***,
Thank you for getting in touch with us. We're sorry for any confusion that you experienced.
We are not affiliated with Facebook in any way, it appears that you may have clicked on one of our Ads on Facebook and arrived at our site.
In looking into your account, it appears that you might have assumed that we were a part of Facebook's account administration.
The fees that were charged were the result of the remote connection services that you requested. Each has the fee presented before you agree to the service and we can confirm at this time that you have been fully refunded.
We hope that you were able to make contact with Facebook to have your account issues resolved.
Please let us know if you need any further assistance.

My mother got sucked into a membership without her fully realizing that they were getting her to pay monthly. They billed her. She called to cancel and now they say that they have no record of her call. I called this morning, and asked for them to cancel her membership. They would not give me a cancellation/confirmation #, which was odd, but told me she'd get an email with the cancellation. Why? Why not just give me a confirmation of cancellation over the phone. Well, guess what? the email never arrived. I called them again this afternoon. They reassured me that she will get an email and that the membership is cancelled. It's not ok to take money from seniors/elderly who is frail, or anyone for that matter. It's wrong to pray on people. If I could give them a zero star, I would. Predators.
I agreed to a $5.00 charge to ask a single question on Aug 20th but somehow I got enrolled in a monthly service. 3 days later they charged me another $14.00 and 4 days later another $19.00. The website has "100% satisfaction guaranteed no questions asked" but apparently that isn't true. I talked the their customer service and she just kept reading from a script

after looking at all the other complaints , they stuck it to me for over 8 mos. when I notice this $34 withdrawal from my account , and I never received any kind of notification that they were taking any money out, no emails or paper verification. So to get a refund for no services rendered is most likely a moot point. Please others know this is a sham organization stealing money with no recourse on our part. I'm in the financial services business and if we did this we would fined and terminated from the business forever. But it appears this is not the case with this fricking organization. Make sense they are in the leftist state of California, not surprising. It's just a matter of how many others they have screwed!!!!
