I was charged $53.00 and I HAVE NEVER used there services. I emailed them and ask for a refund and they said I would not be refunded. It clearly states if you are unhappy in anyway you will be refunded. T

Hello,

My name is Chase and I am with the customer care team at JustAnswer. I received a copy of your complaint filed through the Revdex.com and I’d like to help with your concerns.

Firstly, I am sorry for any problems you have experienced with our site.

After checking your account, I can see that you signed up for the discounted $5 question with the 7 day free trial membership. As with any membership or subscription trial, if you do not cancel before the end of the trial, you will automatically be charged for your first month to avoid any disruption in service. Additionally, we send out emails welcoming you to the membership and an email is sent before your trial is ending.

Per our terms of service that you agreed to when you enrolled in the membership, the membership payment is not eligible for a refund as stated in section 10, subheading "Refunds, Cancellations, Abuse and Special Programs" as follows;

***

Although your payment is not eligible for a refund under our terms of service, as a courtesy to you we have refunded the membership payment for you. The funds are made available to your bank the next business day, however, the bank may take 3-5 business days to release the funds back to your account depending on their policy.

I hope that I have resolved your concerns to your satisfaction. Please let me know if there is anything else I may assist you with and I would be happy to help.

Best regards,

Ms. Chase

Terrible, terrible service. I signed up because I needed to know about medical malpractice. Waited over 30 minutes and I got a tax attorney. Thank god it was only five dollars. Most attorneys offer free consultations, just do that...

I tried 4 different questions.
Not ONE reply.
I was so tangled up with my sick animal.
Next thing I know I am charged with a worthless to me membership. Money wasted that I could have spent on medicine for my goats
When I asked for a refund I was denied with apparently their pet response to people in my same circumstance.
Waste of time and money.
Just ask for them to take your money

Hello ***
Thank you for getting in touch with us about this. We're sorry to hear that you didn't get the response that you needed.
It looks like the same question was posted to your account several times over the course of a day and most of the questions were closed because they were duplicates.
We've gone ahead and issued a full refund for the charges that you incurred and you should see the finds back shortly.
Please reach back out to us if you need any further assistance.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. ITS A SCAM. THEY SIGN YOU UP FOR A MEMBERSHIP WITHOUT DISCLOSING THAT IS WHAT'S ACTUALLY HAPPENING THEN START BILLING YOU $46.00 A MONTH.

Hello ***
Thanks for letting us know about this. We're sorry for any confusion about the payment for the site.
The membership charge amount and information is presented to all customers on the payment page prior to entering any billing information. After the question is posted and the membership is agreed to, we send a receipt E-mail, as well as a payment reminder E-mail, 3-days prior to any recurring billing.
It seems that all of these messages might have been missed.
Please reach out to us if you need any further assistance and we're happy to help in any way we can.

I asked a general question once I was able to connect with an attorney. I was offered the $5 trial. I was planning to register for a plan because I am at the beginning stages in real estate investing. 5 days later, I was charged $47. Who does that? Doesn't it take a month before the monthly payments start? Very disappointing. I won't be registering for an account unless they return my money and wait for me to request a monthly plan.

Hello ***
Thanks for reaching out to us about this. We're sorry for any confusion. The trial for the membership on our site is 7-days long.
The 7-day trial is mentioned on the payment page where you enter your billing information, in the marketing E-mails sent immediately after sign-up as well as the payment reminder E-mail that we send out 3-days prior to the billing being processed.
Please reach out to our Customer Care team from the Contact Us page and we're happy to take a look at your account.

The actual service is good but the business practices are silly. A trial membership turns into an expensive monthly membership. When you try to cancel they bounce you around between chat humans and a chatbot during which they throw extra free months at you so that you don't cancel. The service is build around you signing up for a free membership and forgetting to cancel. I hadn't used the service in two months and asked for a refund of the most recent month and they told me they "couldn't". At least tell the truth and say you "won't". If you like collecting money from people who aren't getting any value that's not a business - that's a scam.

I used Justanswer*** to ask a legal question. It says it cost $5.00. I did not check the box to start a trial membership. My understanding I was only paying the $5.00. I then get $46.00 charged on my card for one moth of membership. I contacted customer service online requesting my $46.00 returned. They stated they could not the money as my 7 days trial was over so my membership was charged. I never signed up for a 7 day trial member.

Firstly, I am sorry for any confusion you have experienced with our site.

Regarding the membership, only the customer can enroll in one of our membership plans, it's never done automatically by the site. There are a few places the customer has to click in order to enroll in a membership plan. First, they have to select a plan, and then they have to click on the orange 'Start My Free Trial' button.

The Offer Details page explains the payment terms and that you're authorizing JustAnswer to automatically charge a subscription fee for each month of enrollment. Also provided are instructions on how to cancel. Additionally, we send emails that outline all of the benefits of the membership plan.

After checking your account, it looks like you accepted a free trial offer to try our membership program. At the end of the trial, the membership bills automatically to avoid disruptions in service. It is evident that you did not intend to continue with the membership after the trial ended, so as a courtesy, I have opted you out of the membership and issued a refund of the charge. The funds are made available to your bank the next business day, however, the bank may take 3-5 business days to release the funds back to your account depending on their policy.

Horrible company to deal with. Cancelled my trial and was still charged. Never received an answer regarding medical. I also am still in process trying to get refunded for a service that I cancelled. I had to prove that I cancelled this service? I did have an email confirming. What a joke. Do NOT use them for anything medical related, you will not receive any answers.

Hello ***,
Thanks for getting in touch with us about this. We're sorry for any frustration.
In looking at the conversation between yourself and the doctor it appears that the doctor had requested some MRI information form you and that you had not responded to the request.
In looking at the charges on your account, it appears that there were no charges as the card on file was declined for insufficient funds, therefore there were no charges to refund.
If you still need assistance from the doctor you can log back into our account and pick the conversation back up.
let us know if you need any further assistance.

Paid $5 for a trial on Justanswer.I had received an e-mail indicating someone had hacked my Amazon Account and thought they could check. Sure enough it was a scam but the even bigger scam was Justanswer billing my (Mastercard) the $5 (May 16)plus $64 for answering my question (May 16) and then $84 membership fee (May 23) without any notice of the latter charges. Now I can't get into the program to cancel this membership. I'm being charged $84 every month for nothing and their program won't let me cancel Membership

I had a problem with my vaccum and was directed to this site. For a free trial and $5.00 they would answer your question. After hitting the estimated time frame(7mins) I waited a hour then asked the question again. Told 8mins.. lol
I fixed it myself from a *** video and still waiting on a response 10 hours later.
I cancelled the free trial hopefully in time before they charge me the $60 that everyone else is telling me they charge for NO ANSWER!
DONT USE THIS SITE
EVEN AFTER CONTACTING THEM .. NO RETURN EMAIL

I requested advise about a legal matter and was charged $5 to speak to a lawyer. Then was told I would have to pay more for legal advice so I refused and got out. I was charged twice on my credit card $52 and $71.99 for some kind of membership. I called my credit card and asked them to put a dispute on those amounts and when I called Just Answer they told me that those amounts were refunded to my credit card but my credit card said they never received the reimbursement so I have to pay for those charges. I went back and forth calling them both and my credit card said they never received any reimbursement and Just Answer tells me to call my credit card because they reimbursed me. My credit card said they received a fax from ***Services *** claiming no reimbursement from Merchant Justanswer -Merchant ID:*** Then why are they telling me they had reimbursed me.

I have finally received my refund of $72. Thank you very much for all your help. I am very happy this has been resolved and again I am very grateful for your help.

Using the website JustAnswer. Com, I paid $1 for a trial period. At some point in the interaction with the expert, a pop up appeared telling me I needed to pay another $5 to continue. When I checked my bank account, there were 5 withdrawals o 10 cents and one for.50 cents. There was no $5 withdrawal. They then attempted to withdraw $46 from my account. That amount has been pending in my account since July 13, 2019. I did not want to continue membership. I asked customer service for a refund. They refused.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely

I signed up for the 30 day FREE membership that lasted 5 days! After that, I've been charged $45/month on my CC. The worst part is I never received a workable solution to my problem. When I attempted to cancel, you have to be connected to a Customer Service Chat -- and they keep you on hold & pass you off to a supervisor. Finally confirmed that it was canceled. What a waste of $$$

This site is dangerously close to a scam. I had to sign up for a one-week trial for $1 to ask a technical computer-related question with the statement that I would be sent an email at the end of the week if I wanted to continue, presumably at a much higher recurring monthly rate, which is not stated. The site is difficult to use because it is online chat based with multiple emails during the chat and after the chat that are confusing and difficult to deal with in real time. I was given no information about the "expert" they assigned to me, whose help was much more confusing than helpful. I do not know what/whether I will be charged for the call as that was never divulged. Cancellation is a colossal pain. You cannot cancel through the website without chatting with someone who has to pass you on to a supervisor who isn't available, so you then have to call or email. I called and was forced to sit through a high-pressure pitch for a "free" question, with the implication that I could not cancel unless I did that. Eventually, the "customer representative" said my trial was cancelled. We'll see. Anyone who would use this site for legal or medical advice, beware!

JustAnswer Response • Jul 23, 2019

Hello ***,
Thanks for letting us know about the trouble that you had navigating the site. Were sorry for any confusion caused by the E-mail notifications.
First, I wanted to confirm for you that the membership was cancelled and that you will see no further billing unless you post a new question.
The E-mails that are sent out are notification E-mails, you can usually ignore those if you're already on the website talking with the Expert.
If you're looking for information about the Expert, you can click on their image and you should be brought to their profile page which will provide information about their credentials and history on the site working with other customers. Any other questions not covered by the profile page can be directed to the Expert in the chat.
If you've got any other questions about the site or your account, please don't hesitate to reach back out to us and we're happy to help.

JustAnswer is my favorite website for ALL answers bar none.It is my 'GO TO' site as soon as I switch on the computer. I am truly indebted to them for all the answers they have provided.
What's remarkable is this site is staffed by professionals in their own right in various categories.Whatever profession exists you can be sure to get an answer from them..In cases where you are not happy with the answer, you can get a second opinion. You get the biggest bang for your buck.
Consumers believe this is an online scam and is not trustworthy especially nowadays where that's all you hear about. This is far from the truth since the site is certified by the Revdex.com.
I have been a subscriber to JustAnswer for approximately (6) years now and will continue to do so since I am tremendously happy with the service they provide. All I can say is for those non-believers to try them and I am certain they will walk away contented!.

I purchased a one time question and answer for 5 dollars in May. On May 30th the company attempted to charge my account for the monthly membership fee of 46.00 which was declined. At that point I contacted them and let them know that I wasn't interested in the monthly membership however June 29 they charged my account and I have made several contacts within the past 3 weeks as they refuse to refund my money knowing I have no use for their service and haven't used their service.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely

Very helpful

Two days ago I gave a very negative review based on the difficulty I had with your website. I was confused and inadvertently ordered an ongoing program. I had trouble trying to figure out how to cancel it. The main thing I wanted was the charge deleted from my credit card. I was amazed that the charge was posted to my account within a very few minutes of me pushing the wrong button.
This morning I was pleased to see that the account had been closed, and the charge had been removed from my card. I had read some reviews that that rated your service very highly, one, in the same situation as mind, reported how quickly you made good on your policy of customer satisfaction.
As such I request you disregard my first review, and you accept this version as my appreciation of the excellent service you have provided me.

Fast, quick service right when you need it most! Answered my questions and helped ease my mind.
