false advertising. This website is a scam. They tell you there is a free trial. Then you find out there is no such thing as "FREE", it actually costs your 5 dollars Then I asked my question which I was supposed to be entitled and never got an answer. In this process, a link popped-up and said I could receive a free call instead of the text which I agreed to. It turns out the call is not free either. The lawyer who answered the phone told me she was charging me 60 dollars and I told her I didnt want to pay so she issued me a "refund" for something I never agreed to pay to begin with.. Very deceptive site....what a scam!

Firstly, I am sorry for any problems you had with understanding how our site works.
After checking your account, it looks like you signed up for the $5 question with the 7 day free trial. The question on costs $5 and the 7 days of site usage is free. As with any membership or subscription, if you do not cancel before the trial period ends, you are billed automatically to avoid interruptions in service. Additionally, we send emails outlining the details of the free trial and membership. Since you did not intend to continue with the membership after the trial ended, as a courtesy, I can see we have already opted you out of the membership and I've issued a refund of the charge. The funds are made available to your bank the next business day, however, the bank may take 3-5 business days to release the funds back to your account depending on their policy. I hope that I have resolved your concerns to your satisfaction. Please let me know if there is anything else I may assist you with and I would be happy to help.

Terrible business......charged my credit card $46.00 a month for three months.....I didn’t use the service......didn’t even know I had it........when I contacted them they refused to refund any of the money.....they don’t care about their customers.
Hello ***
Thanks for getting in touch with us about this. We're sorry for any frustration.
The membership billing does process each month to avoid an interruption in the service. We can confirm that at this time your membership has been turned off and that you will see no further recurring billing.
Please reach out to us if you have any other questions about your account or need any further assistance.
It says $5 charge for asking the vet a question. Then days later they charged me & 46. I don't want a subscription. This wS a one time $5 deal??

JustAnswer*** advertises on-line to answer a variety of technical and professional questions/problems. An initial trial membership is offered for $5.00 for an on-line consultation with one of their experts. If you wish to have a direct phone conversation with the expert, there is an additional fee of $24.00, which I opted for. I ended up solving my problem (an appliance issue) and figured that was that. I subsequently received a bill for the two charges mentioned above, plus an additional $25.00 charge. I called the company help line for an explanation. I was told that my $5.00 trial membership had automatically matured into a $25.00 full membership. This information was supposedly presented on their website, but certainly not clearly and I couldn't find it. I think that this is a devious business practice and regret having contacted them in the first place.

On the internet I agreed to a charge of $5 . Later I rejected an option to get more services for an additional $34. At least I intended to reject that offer. I check my Visa charge items frequently and just saw I was charged $34 by Just Answer. Other complaints on the Revdex.com website show some have been charged on a monthly basis for several months . The company rep. indicated no refund possible. Website is deceptive in its handling of the issue.

This website is deceiving and confusing. It is portrayed as being 5.00 per question, but the card that they use for this then becomes the means by which you are enrolled in a membership. It is not clearly marked on their website that you are enrolling in a membership unless otherwise cancelled after asking one question. This was in May of 2018, on an card that was not used often, and I have been billed for a membership since that time. Unfortunately, I was not checking the statement regularly, and did not realize that I was being billed for a monthly membership fee. I think that websites should clearly state what will happen, and that follow up emails should be sent to inform the person that the card they submitted will be charged a monthly membership. I tried to do a search in my email for "justanswer***" and could not find any emails from them with notification that asking once question initiated a membership contract. I feel they keep this hidden to confuse people, especially seniors.

This company did not have permission to place me on any kind of subscription notice I have to now cancel my card and dispute the charges with my bank because of greedy business’s like this. I think of all the people you just take money from prob some never recognize the charges. This corrupt you should be sued. I want any money I have given you refunded my bank is already going after the 46.00 subscription charge I never authorized, I have to cancel my card and wait because a one time 33.00 charge was authorized and you think you can just take another 46.00 I want my 33.00 back as well you had no authorization to take 46.00 from me, now my bank has to issue me a new card I have to wait to receive it. This is ridiculous. I never want to do business with you again.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Sincerely
I am filing a complaint against the online company, Just Answer, for taking $322 from my bank account for a membership to their website. Last September, I was ill and found justanswer***. The site said for $5 I could consult with a medical professional. I entered my name and my debit card information. I was put in touch with a physician and got a seemingly reputable but rather generic consultation. The doctor ultimately suggested that I see a doctor in person. Since then, I have never received any emails or communication from Just Answer. I didn’t sign up for nor authorize Just Answer to sign me up for a membership to their consultation service with a monthly fee, but that's what happened. The only way I discovered that I was being charged was by looking at my bank statement today and realizing that I have been charged $46/month since last September. Counting the initial $5, the amount equals $327. This may be somehow legal, but it is deceptive in my view. I signed up for a $5 consultation with an online doctor. That ended up costing me over $300. I’ve never used Just Answer except for the one time when I was ill in September. I do not want this to happen to anyone else, so I’m filing this complaint. I feel my money was taken from my bank account in a deceptive manner. I called Just Answer today and briefly explained my frustration with losing this money and canceled the account. The rep did not offer any refund. I told the rep that I was filing a complaint with the Revdex.com.
I want to amend one statement in my original complaint. After sending the Revdex.com my complaint about Just Answer yesterday, I did a second search in my emailbox and discovered that Just Answer had in fact sent me an email back in September about my free trial membership. I replied to them to CANCEL my free trial membership and not to charge my debit card any further. They ignored that directive.

I signed up for the free 7 day trial and used the service to diagnose a problem with my truck. The expert was very good and helped me repair the problem. I went to the web site to cancel the automatic subscription within the seven day trail. On the web site there was a "Cancel my subscription button" and I clicked on that. The automatic response stated "We regret you want to leave and is there anything we can do for you?" As I didn't want to discuss the matter I closed the page assuming that my subscription was canceled. Two months latter, while reviewing my checking activity online, I noticed that two monthly draws has be deducted from my account. I connected with the "chat" feature on their web site and was passed off to a "Manager" The following is a transcript of that conversation. 10:47PW chat customer: ***: Questions about using our site? I'm here to help! 10:47PW chat customer: Customer: cancel-membership-link-click 10:47PW chat customer: ***: I'd be sad to see you go! Can you tell me a little more about why you want to cancel? 10:47PW chat customer: Customer: Hi, I cancelled this January 12, 2019 online and now I have found the monthly fee was still deducted for two more months. Could you please straighten this out? 10:47PW chat customer: ***: We appreciate that you gave JustAnswer a try, and I'm sorry to see you go! I'll connect you with my supervisor, who can cancel your membership. 10:47PW chat customer: ***: My supervisor will be with you in less than a minute. Thanks for your patience. 10:***: Thank you for waiting. This is Cristina and I'm sorry for any inconvenience. I just need a quick moment to review your chat with Pearl. Can I get your name? 10:48PW chat customer: *** 10:48***: Hi ***, please give me some time to pull up your account. 10:49***: Sorry for the confusion about the membership char. Your $5 included a 7-day trial membership. Since it ended 3/13/2019 , the price has been $34 per month. With your membership you have a doctor on call, a lawyer on retainer, and tech support around the clock. 10:50PW chat customer: I canceled it online 1-12-19 10:51***: I am sorry for the typo error message, I apologize for the confusion about the membership charge. It seems that you have missed to cancel within the trial period that's the reason why you were billed for the full membership service. 10:52***: It does not show here that the membership service already cancelled. 10:52***: Before I process your request, let me tell you more about your membership features that you might miss. 10:52***: I know that you may not have any question at this time, but who knows you might have other questions in the future right? 10:52***: Did you know that your membership also covers different categories like technical question, health question, legal question, vet question and many more. Which you can take advantage of and save a lot of money. 10:52***: As a member, you have unlimited access to all types of Experts. Have an attorney review legal documents, speak anonymously with a doctor 24/7, talk to a vet anytime, get an IT professional to help fix your computer, receive transparent auto repair quotes from certified mechanics, and more! Plus, you can even ask free questions for your friends and family. 10:52***: I will be extending your membership for an additional 30 days for free for you to try it all, and there will be no additional charge. You can decide after the trial if you still want to continue. 10:52PW chat customer: Again, I cancelled it on 1-12-19. Please refund the two extra months charged. I clicked on the "cancel my membership link. 10:53PW chat customer: Please cancel as of 1-12-19 10:54***: I have checked the question that has been posted on our site, were you completely happy the answer to your question? 10:54PW chat customer: yes, thank you. I still want to cancel. 10:56***: Were you fully satisfied with the answer to your question? 10:56PW chat customer: Again, yes. I was satisfied with the answers given. 10:58***: It’s great to know that your Expert helped you with solving your issue. 10:58PW chat customer: You might want to consult one of the attorneys you have available to see if your cancelation policy is proper. A "cancel membership" link indicated that your subscription will be cancelled when clicked.. 10:58***: I have taken a look at your account and unfortunately you are not eligible for a refund. I have already turned off renewal of your membership to prevent any future charges from occurring. 10:59***: You may still post questions at no additional cost until the end of your billing cycle on 4/13/2019. Once your billing cycle ends, your account will revert to a pay-per-question basis and you will only be charged when you post a question. 11:00***: Is there anything else I can assist you with today? 11:00PW chat customer: I expect to see two months credit in my bank shortly. Please do not forget the power of Yelp! and Goggle reviews. Not a threat - just a fact. Your answers are not acceptable and I will post this conversation as to a warning to ant future people who want to think about using your service. 11:01PW chat customer: Care to reconsider or shall we end it here. 11:01***: It's s stated under our Terms and conditions, which you have agreed on the moment you submitted your question, that I cannot process a refund for the membership but I can assure that you will no longer receive any recurring charges. 11:02***: You can reference the terms and conditions found on the site. 11:02PW chat customer: So be it. I have just had dealings with this company, online. I was told I could get advice from an "expert"
if I agreed to allow a $5 "trial" charge on my credit card which would be refunded after I rated
the " expert". I did all of that and signed off. About 2 days later, on Mar 27th, I saw a charge on my
credit card for $66 which I had never authorized. I went online to have the charge reversed. After
I explained my problem, the first question the contact asked was if I had contacted the US
authorities about it and then she said she would transfer me to speak to an "immigration
lawyer" ??? I signed off in disgust. I am adding my complaints to the other online complaints
about this company (which apparently number some 1,113 to date) TOTAL SCAM ARTISTS!!!!
There is something seriously wrong with a Revdex.com rating system which would give them even a one
star rating
Hi there Murray,
Thanks for letting us know about this. We're sorry for any confusion.
In looking at your account we can see that you did opt into the membership as you indicated here. In order to prevent an interruption in the service the membership billing processes after the 7 day trial.
We can confirm that the membership was turned off on your account and that the most recent charge has been refunded.
If you need any further assistance, please reach out to us and we're happy to help.

I consulted JustAnswer with a health question, and agreed to pay $5 for the info. When I got my credit card statement, a charge for $46 was listed as a membership fee for JustAnswer - a charge I did NOT agree to pay. I tried to contact the company, and they were most unhelpful. This company is obviously set up to scam people out of money, and I want a refund of the $46.

COMPLETE SCAM DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CC INFORMATION. THEY STOLE SOME OF MY IDENTIFYING INFORMATION...
Tried to use their Pay-per-Question service, I believe it is called, late one night (too late to call my vet) to ask a vet question about my dog who ate something funny. Cost about $14 with fees. Their site said if you don't get a satisfactory answer, they give full refunds. No one responded to my question for many hours and they once they did never actually answered the question I asked, so I had the charge refunded as per their "satisfaction guarantee" policy. All seemed fine. The refund went through. Two months later, I am looking over my CC bill and realize there have been charges for a $30 Just Answer monthly membership. I rarely use this card so I didn't realize at first. Definitely never signed up for that. Tried to cancel with the company and got a rude email claiming I did sign up for a membership. I did not. So I am now dealing with this through my bank on 4 charges total. Despite claiming on the phone that I signed up and rudely telling me they would not reverse the charges, they randomly did refund two of the months the next day. But then started charging me again after I thought it was all resolved. This time they are disputing. The "evidence" they have sent my CC company in response to my billing dispute is insane. The membership/account info they have for me does not have my name, only my initials (that they clearly got from my email address), it has the address field blank, and the wrong state. A state I have never lived in. The documents also claim I used their service using a different email??? (also a red flag) from a country I do not and have never lived in or visited, and there is a screen shot of a question I did not ask them about a product I have never owned in my entire life. I am hoping this is sufficient to my CC to prove this company is pulling an incredible scam where they transfer whatever little financial info they get from you for the question service and plug it into fake memberships/accounts. If not I will hire a lawyer and try to expose them as this has been incredibly stressful and horrible. Clearly from other reviews they are up to something shady. AGAIN, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFO. In my opinion, this seems like identity fraud, but I am no lawyer.
Hello BB,
Thanks for letting us know about this. We apologize for any confusion. In looking into this matter we had located an account that you had created earlier last year but it appears that that account was closed when you called us in October and a refund was issued for all charges. There has been no additional contact from your E-mail address or the phone number that you contacted us from initially, in the last 5 months.
We're happy to look into this further if you need assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to our Customer Care team at *** or give us a call back at ***

Ambiguous language regarding trial and if you will be charged if you cancel on time.
Lame AI quotes you wide ranges such as $10-$100 for a question.
This site lacks clear pricing.
I called this company when I was trying to sign up for a new email account. I was told I could sign up for a trial for $5. I did not agree to a membership! My credit card statement came today and I have been charged $46 for a month's membership. This is credit card fraud. I thought I was talking to an IT expert, but that was not the case. I received no help. Please investigate this company for credit card fraud.
Back in February 2019 I asked a question on Justanswer***. First off my question was never answered and spent $5.00 to even ask the question in the first place. I chalked it up to lesson learned, I'll never use that site again. About a month later I check my bank statement and there's a charge for $46.00 for a monthly membership fee. I contacted Just Answer and they said they would not refund and me & that they would cancel the membership. A month later and guess what..... I was charged the $46.00 once again. First time shame on me. I have put a dispute in with my bank and hopefully this resolves being charged next month. I tried deleting my credit card information out of their website but I can't do that and I believe I cancelled the monthly membership online. I guess the next step is to get a new bank card if this continue.

I was referred to Just Answer by Microsoft for an issue on my computer. I agreed to pay a $5 trial fee and then a $39 fee that they said I would have to pay to have the problem fixed. I now notice that I am being charge a $46 membership fee this month. I didn't agree to a membership to my knowledge but I assume like so many other scams on the internet there was some kind of statement when I agreed to pay the first fee of $39. These practices should be illegal unless they are explained to the customer at the time of sale. They are fraudulent practices and prey on older customers.
Hello,
My name is Chase and I am with the customer care team at JustAnswer. I received a copy of your complaint filed through the Revdex.com and I’d like to help with your concerns.
Firstly, I am sorry for any problems you have experienced with our site.
After checking your account, it looks like you signed up for the $5 question with the 7 day free trial. As with any membership or subscription, if you do not cancel before the trial period ends, you are billed automatically to avoid interruptions in service. Additionally, we send emails outlining the details of the free trial and membership. Since you did not intend to continue with the membership after the trial ended, as a courtesy, I have opted you out of the membership and issued a refund of the charges. The funds are made available to your bank the next business day, however, the bank may take 3-5 business days to release the funds back to your account depending on their policy. I hope that I have resolved your concerns to your satisfaction. Please let me know if there is anything else I may assist you with and I would be happy to help.
Best regards,
Ms. Chase

The JustAnswer doctor gave me the same answers a specialist I consulted in person afterwards. The JustAnswer doctor was intelligent, well informed, and gave correct information. I would recommend this service to others! Dolores.
