I signed up for YouTube TV and had a problem with it from the beginning. I searched and searched for a phone number to talk to a human being. Instead I was directed to the JustAnswer web site where I was told that for $1 I could have an online chat with an "expert." I asked my question and the expert told me he could connect to my device for $36 or $39. I declined. He then gave me a quick response to my problem that didn't resolve the issue so I disconnected the chat. Then, about a week later I check my credit card billing online and found a charge for $46 to JustAnswer which is their monthly service fee. I never signed up for their monthly service and went to their site and canceled my membership and requested a refund. I will check back in a few days to see if my card has been credited and to make sure that my membership has been canceled. Since I never signed up for the monthly service I'm certain they used my card number I used for the $1 "introductory" fee and signed me up without my permission or knowledge. This is deceptive business practice.

Worst experience of my life trying to cancel this membership I didn't even know I had. We thought we had cancelled it after the $5.00 trial period but were charged twice more @ $ 34.00/ each month. When I called to cancel I PURPOSEFULLY could barely hear the person on the other end and all they wanted to do was keep putting me on hold. I know it was to make me angry. I requested a refund of at least a portion of what was charged and they would not do it.

I sent in a complaint a few minutes ago .. I have contacted my bank & they are doing a fraud report - going after this company 'Just Answers'.. they say it happens with lots of companies ... I asked a Q regarding my printer & have been charged $66 for SEVEN mos.
My debit card has been cancelled & the bank is going after the company to reimburse me.
All of you - contact your banks - perhaps you'll get some of your money back as well !!!

Eddie was as helpful as he could possibly be and in the end my dear old Jura S9 was terminal. Eddie made every effort to get her going but just not happening. Again thank you Eddie for all of your help???

Biggest rip off this side of the ocean. $50 monthly fee for what? Some dumb as answer I used the service one time never got a decent resolution and then they banged me for $50 screw them. I"m going to obliterate them on social media. Have your rip off CEO call me..cause I'll write a review everyday.

What a scam. I was assuming I was paying $1.00 for an answer. The answer was something I got online myself. I looked at my credit card today and they charged me $46.00. They will not give me a credit since it posted yesterday. There staff member Noel would not even answer me and said were not giving you a refund.
My question was regarding hotmail and I thought they had some incredible answer. They make it impossible to know they will be charging you more within 7 days. I want my money back!

If the trial period was not canceled within that 7-day window, your account would transition into a full membership, where we would collect a monthly payment from you each month until you decide to cancel the service. This was all readily displayed for you when you were submitting your billing information before your first question was posted.
We also send several membership related emails that mention your next billing date, including a Subscription Reminder email to announce that your trial period is coming to an end and that your first membership payment is coming up. When I contacted Just Answer on May 1, 2020, I got a prompt answer to my question, and the situation was resolved quickly--for $5.00! Today I received my credit card statement. Imagine my surprise to view five charges of $0.10 to "charities", $4.50 for Just Answer "Trial", and $37.00 for Just Answer "Membership". I only agreed to a $5.00 charge for an answer to my question! No information was given me on May 1, 2020, regarding the "charities", "trial", or a "membership" for which I would be charged if I did not cancel within 30 days. I spoke with a Just Answer Customer Service Representative this afternoon who explained all the above to me. I will pay the current charges, and I have cancelled my "Membership", however, I do not think Just Answer is operating in an ethical manner. I don't understand how this business can receive an A+ rating from Revdex.com after reading other reviews similar to mine, but---Revdex.com doesn't use customer reviews in the calculation of their rating.

It's basically as much as scam as legalshield. I posed a question and got no answer, just more questions and the offer to call a lawyer for a large sum of money. SCAM!

We do have an option for you to request a new Expert if the one you're working with doesn't seem to be helping. The phone calls are an option JustAnswer offers to all customers because sometimes it's easier to talk than type but you are not required to accept a phone call.

Hello I tried there lawyers out, he didnt even help me I payed $5 bucks for a answer that didn't help me at all then a few days later I get charged $50 bucks!! They said I was supposed to cancel there service befor 5 days.. I didnt see that any where I talked to customer service for a refund, they said no refund because I didnt cancel. So now I lost out on $55 bucks for no reason its just all a scam !!

If I could --- there would be no STAR..
The legal answer I got to a simple probate question regarding a form was 100% INCORECT.
And then they had the audacity to fraudulently charge my credit card $53 / MO for 7 months for some kind of membership which I did not authorize> I have been able to get a refund on $153 of the $371 fraudulent membership charge.

What a joke never received a response on a Chevy mechanic question. These aren't mechanics, if you want to know how to take your oil filter off this is the place!!!!!

Sometimes the questions take a more specialized expert and takes a bit more time. I wonder if your '90 Corvette might have been answered better in the Classic Car category.

I contacted them over the internet about a slight problem with HP ink for my printer. They promised that for a $1 fee which would be refunded that they would supply an expert. I agree since it was such a small fee. The so-called expert gave me a web site which was no help at all. I tried to tell him that and go nowhere! They did charge me credit card the $1 fee which was not refunded! I sent a negative reply to the experts to advise which they apparently did not like. Late I found that they additionally charged me a credit card and an additional $45. Which is crap! None of this was agreed to by me prior to or at any time during this so-called prior agreement!

I agree with the other reviewers. This is a scam. I only lost $5 and after 10 minutes canceled my so called membership because they don't let you speak with a human and leave you hanging. I never received any answer or spoke to a human even to hear a "How can I help you"? My issue was /is urgent and I am sorry there are people who take advantage of this.

I would give a negative review if I could. This is a scam company. Paid $5 for trial for one week to ask a question to an “expert”. In trial info it said I would be notified prior to being billed when trial period ended. That didn’t happen. I asked a question about the value of some antiques I found in family belongings. It took over 8 hours for a response and the “expert” told me that similar items are selling on eBay and Etsy for $100! I already knew that! I can do that “expert” query! “Selling for” NOT “sold” even. I immediately contacted via email asking for a refund of the $5 and cancellation of account. I never got a response. I was just charged an additional $28 and when I attempted to contact them on their site via chat (just computer generated answers) and then email (would not allow me to send email after chat discussion). I called # associates with charge on my bank account and rep told me “you should have cancelled it during trial period”. Refused refund even tho multiple requests were made and I called them within 1 hour of charge posting to my bank account. STAY AWAY from this company!!!

My expert was Joel, and he was very helpful and cordial to me.
He told me where I could buy a replacement part for my Sears Kenmore compact washer.
That business called Appliance Parts Pros was well organized and I found and bought the
water level pressure switch, Thank you very much.

After calling my vet and no answer (it was holiday), vet hospital, poison control, the only answe I finally got to treat my poor puppy was at JustAnswer. A vet got back to me immediately and I was able to help my puppy right away! I have already recommended to others. I felt confident the vet that responded was truly caring about my pup and gave me dependable treatment options. It worked!!! Thanks!

I was getting \the money run around on the problem with my vehicle. Within a couple of minutes, I had an answer that confirmed my thoughts on the problem, and confirmed that 2 companies I was using, could no longer be trusted.

Though it took many more days and phone calls than expected, Mike was extremely helpful at assisting me in getting my ice maker running. My house is just a few years old, but my personal appliances are not, so Mike and JustAnswer will assuredly get a call from me should the need arise.

I didn't know about this service and it saved me a lot of frustration. I'd read my stove manual and my oven wouldn't work. I hadn't thought through the basics of turning the breaker off to reset it. It was a quick and simple fix.
