John *** was our Install TechnicianHe arrived at approx8am on Thursday, 10/06/to install our new Amana FurnaceThe old unit was located in a very small room and John went about his install with the utmost professional attitudeHe was done in about hoursHe cleaned up the area and made sure I had no questions regarding the furnace or thermostatVery pleased with Genz-Ryans Service

We are under a monthly service agreement with Genz Ryan the plan we had selected covered filters for our furnaceOur furnace had stopped working so we purchased a new one and a new air conditioner unit In late October we received filters for our old furnaceWe called Genz Ryan and advised these are no longer correct filters for our unitThey advised us that filters for our current unit are not covered under the service plan and that we would need to purchase a filterWe agreed and on Nov, 7th $was deducted from our checking account We have not received the filter we paid forEvery time we have called we have been told something different That it was received damaged so they ordered a new oneWhich I understand happens okay would have been nice to be told After that we were told it is an issue with a vendorThen we were told that it was shipped they would get a tracking number and call back the next dayWe didn't get a call backOn December 21stSpoke with

Noah called and let me know when he was on his way to my house He spent over hours fixing my furnace and programming it He would explain to me about the programming as he did itHe told me about their filter delivery service Everything was great except I could smell cigarette smoke

The service was excellent The technicians did a great job of explaining the issue as well as walking through all the readings (especially CO levels) that drove the proposed resolution They also did a great job of walking through the various options for repair or replace of the furnace, which of course is a very difficult decision due to price

Matt was very efficient, very helpful and knowledgeable, went the extra mile, discussed concerns I had about both water heater and water conditioner He was very personable, seemed like a friend right away!

I had a technician from Genz Ryan that came to my home because of a blocked sewer issue The technician who was here told me that the sewer drain needs to be cleaned and some pressure work will need to be done to clean out the roots in the sewer line in He told me a price of $ I asked him to e-mail me a breakdown of the quotation and provided him with my e-mail address He or they, failed to send me the e-mail I called on Monday and spoke to "Deshae", that's what the person claimed their name was and informed her that I need a BREAKDOWN of the quotation She read the technician report and told me to clean the sewer will be $5500.00, apparently she doesn't know what the word "breakdown" means I asked her to give me a breakdown of the materials, labor, permits, fees, etcas to how the amount of $was reached She told me she will convey this to the technician and get back to me within hours She didn't I called Tuesday 6/21/at 4:p.mand "Deshae" an

Ryan Wwas out to do a tuon my air conditioner and did a very thorough job I've had him before and he's always very polite and friendly, and very trustworthy I was very impressed with him

The technicians and the customer service representatives were very friendly and helpful I have only positive things to say about the employees My only complaints are regarding Genz-Ryan practices and processes
I don't like that their bills are not itemized You get one total price whereas most businesses show you what you pay for parts and for labor--makes me wonder if they're hiding something
The other issue is their communications Before and after the installation of my new furnace, it seemed that I had to provide them my contact information every time I called in Also, information given to and given by the technicians was not available to customer service reps when I talked to them I also received multiple calls regarding the same thing It seems like the left hand doesn't always know what the right hand is doing

Karen, in the office of Genz-Ryan, made sure I was continually updated as to the status of my service call so there were no surprisesJeff, the technician, did an excellent job of diagnosing the furnace problem, fixing it quickly, and explaining what was done in terms that were understandable
