On 2/27/I requested service on our thermostat One solution was offered: Whole Home Comfort Renovation No other solutions were offered Cost for the work was $1, In order to identify the value of the capital improvement for income tax purposes, I made three attempts to request an itemized receipt: (1) by responding to online feedback email (received no response); (2) by email customer service (received no response) and (3) by phone on 4/10/during which I was told they are a “flat rate” company and that they do not provide itemized receipts, and that Natalie would get back to me I did receive a phone message from Natalie on 4/18/ Her message was simply to state they are “flat rate” company and have been for a long time On 5/11/I then sent a letter detailing my contacts with the company in an effort to get the itemized receipt and why I wanted it In the letter, I also let them know I did an online search and found the thermostat on the Honeywell website

Genz-Ryan initially did good work on my boiler but then offered horrible customer service since then for other areas of service I would not recommend this company for future use

I called Genz Ryan to service my AC, they found High pressure was going over units & compressor would shutdown automatically to protect itself
- few visits later they said Metering device(Cost $1170) was faulty & replaced itpressure still went over units & compressor w/d shut down
- They claimed compressor itself was bad & that it needed to be replaced and replaced compressor(additional $800)The high pressure still went over units & new compressor w/d still shut down automatically like the old one
- Then they claimed first replaced metering device could be bad & replaced metering device 2nd timeHigh pressure still went over Units & compressor w/d still shut down
- Then they said “My coils were bad & it would need to be replaced” for $I requested 2nd opinion from Horwitz
- Horwitz tech figured out in minutes that capacitor was the culpritThis capacitor is right in the front & had all bulged up/burnt outHorwitz T

Steve Mperformed an annual inspection and functionality check on my furnace and A/C He was quick and proficient, explained what he was doing and answered a number of questions I had He also gave me a bid for some separate electrical work that needs to be doneI am happy and satisfied with my experience and readily recommend Genz-Ryan and Steve Mdon

Ryan and Andrew, the professional technicians from Genz-Ryan Plumbing & Heating showed up on the same day that I called for service on my furnaceAlthough the diagnosis was not what anyone wants to hear, (I need a new furnace), both of the technicians commiserated with me in my painful demise and were very professional by thoroughly pointing out the problems with my furnace which could have killed me as it was emitting COand thankfully the roll out switch was doing the job of shutting off the furnace keeping the COfrom reaching a catastrophic levelRyan and Andrew were very friendly, professional guys that you would want to arm wrestle with for a better deal on the furnace--(Not Really)! They spelled out the cost, financing options and made sure that space heaters were delivered within an hour to keep me warm until the new furnace and air conditioning unit are installedIs anyone really ever happy with the price of a new furnace? I rest my case; But Ryan, Andrew and myself had a group hug and we all felt good about the end resultI live in a condo and the furnace has to fit the footprint of my building; It also comes with an AC unit combinedLet me spell it out...Although it pains me to give in, these guys were very professional, they diagnosed my furnace problem, kept me safe and alive and guaranteed installation within three days in the middle of a winter cold snapWhat more could anyone expect! I give these guys the highest recommendation and would refer them to anyoneThey didn't charge me for the service call which was about an hour of their time and I'll be warm and toasty in a few daysI may not love Genz-Ryan like the commercials say, but these guys make it easier to lean that way!

After calling the local gas company as our water heater was not working and being told they would be out in a week; I called Genz-Ryan; the person who took my call was eminently personable, explained their process, and took down all my informationJust as she predicted, I was called by Tom within minutes; he was at my house in minutes; professionally inspected my water heater and explained the situation to me; by in the afternoon they had installed a new water heater and we has hot water! I love these guys! They could not have been more professional, competent, respectful and fun to work with

Loren Bfrom Genz Ryan Plumbing and Heating came to our home today to perform an annual furnace maintenance visit He always does a great job; he has been here a couple times before and is knowledgable, courteous and efficient He explains things and asks if we have any further concerns and never gives you "the bums rush" but makes sure that he has covered all of our concerns We appreciate his work ethic and his professionalism We requested him because he has impressed us in the past and he did not disappoint He is a valuable employee
