Genz-Ryan responded very quickly, were friendlyThey diagnosed the problem with our central air and replaced our unit very quickl and came back within hours to fix a slight problemImpressed with them and would recommend them

On behalf of SHEA Wwe want to post a sterling review of his workmanship today as he installed our new 50gal hot water heater for us Shea was punctual, very efficient, very knowledgeable of his profession and very customer oriented It was a pleasure to have him in our house to complete such a huge task for us

Billy came out to do a maintenance check on our air conditioner today and he was so nice to work with He answered all of my questions and was very knowledgeable

Genz-Ryan technician Bill Bwas prompt, friendly, did thorough work and took the time to put together optional quotes for some possible future work

I had a failure of my hot water heater and called on Saturday morning They were very prompt in getting someone here Matt is a great Technician He reviewed my problem and gave me a list of options that I could chose from to fit into my budget Matt was very polite and explained each option After selecting the option he went right to work He called in the parts and their runner had them here within about a half hour They removed the old heater and cleaned up the area The installation is very professional looking I would recommend Matt M to anyone and if I have more work I won't hesitate to use them again Everything went smoothly due to Matt's experience Thanks again

We used Genz-Ryan special to flush out our Water Heater The serviceman was Alex and he was very polite, professional, and knowledgeable Ironically, he had let me know a service my city provided "free of charge" to residents Wow, we actually saved money We will continue to use Genz-Ryan in the future as we have in the past

If anyone is contemplating purchasing a system from Genz-Ryan, please read my review so you can have a better understanding about the level of service provided by this companyHere is my Genz-Ryan Story
In July we dropped $10k to purchase a new 'state-of-the-art' Lennox furnace and AC system as a replacement for the system in our existing house
Two years later (I think), the AC system broke down during the middle of summer, and required a full recharge
Two winters ago (I think), the furnace wasnt heating properly during the middle of the winterI made a service call, and they said there was no problemSo I asked him to put his hand by the heat register to feel the airflow while the furnace was 'running', and he told me that was normalI asked if it typically takes more than one hour during -degree weather to raise the temperature in the house by one degree, and he said YES! He told me that the system was designed for 'comfort', which is why the airflow settings are so low
I had the same problem twice with the AC during two separate summers, and when they came out, they said that the airflow is so low because the system is designed for 'comfort'During summer, it continues to be 10-degrees warmer upstairs vs downstairs
This past winter, I noticed that the house wasnt humidifyingIt took two separate service calls to fix that problemBy the time it was fixed, I asked what was wrongThey said they werent sureThey said that the system somehow forgot that it had a humidifier, so they had to re-register the humidifier settings within the thermostat
Then yesterday (during early summer), I walk down into the basement to find the floor covered in water! It didnt take long for me to realize that the water pump attached to the system wasnt working (the pump that removes all of the water from the AC/dehumidifier system)
This happened three months after I had just had my basement perimeter torn up for two weeks to waterproof the entire areaI guess I clearly didnt contemplate the potential of a flooded basement from a water leak in my new Genz-Ryan 'state-of-the-art' furnace/AC systemI should have known better
I called the customer service line, and immediately asked to speak to a supervisorThe person on the phone wanted to find out what the problem was first before he transferred me, and so I told himHe then told me that he was a supervisor (his name was Kareem I think)I told him what the problem was, and I again asked if I could just return the system, get my money back, and agree to just move on and remove me from my miseryOf course he denied that requestHe asked if he could send someone over to the house right away, and I told him I couldnt get away from work, and so I asked him if someone could come around yesterday afternoonHe said he would call me backHe then told me the GFCI outlet that the pump was plugged into was probably tripped, but he said he would still call back tat day to follon that problem, and look into whether they would repair the water damage to my houseWhen I got home, sure enough, the outlet was the problem, but the outlet wont reset itself, because something is clearly wrong in the electrical circuitryI never did receive that call-back that he promised me, so I called at 5:yesterday afternoon to speak with someone, and after holding for a while, it put me into a voicemail, where I sternly asked for a call-back
At the time I am writing this review, I have still not received a call-back
I will be spending the weekend trying to remove all of the water from the basement, and assess the damage to the floor and walls
Now, I understand that equipment can break downThose things happen, and sometimes that is not anybody's faultBut it is really hard to forgive the lack of folland poor customer serviceThose things are entirely preventable
At this point, I think I just have to cut my losses, and just find another company that can provide me with different equipment, and move onHow sad though...what a waste of $10,

Positive experience, Called early in the morning and by pm the same day the installation of a new furnace, AC, Hot water heater and new softening filtration system was completedI am very happy with the job Tom, Jason and the rest of the team did in getting this done

I had a DIY Kitchen project well in hand when I decided to switch out my sinkSince the counter was already brought in, I disconnected the plumbing and as Genz-Ryan was proudly advertising on Pandora, decided to give this local vendor a call
They asked what kind of job and I said sink and garbage disposal hook upThey stated there would be a $trip charge and that would be waived if I decided to have service doneThey were scheduled to come out and unfortunately, I had to leave town on business
The plumber "Matt" showed up at our house and my wife accepted the lower of the offers as she didn't know the prices of plumbing and I didn't inform her what the hourly rate was
The garbage disposal was left where it was and the new sink was plumbed in
When I returned home I found out the price of the plumbing job
So you ask how much for this TWO HOUR service? ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS!
I was flabbergasted by this erroneous and inflated charge for two hours workI looked under the sink hoping to find Gold piping but no, the only parts needed and added to the job that were not already there was about 1/feet of black PVC
So I think, okay, feet of pipe, maybe costing at the most $SO then GENZ RYAN only charges $PER HOUR for labor
After I settled down as much as I could, I called the office of Genz Ryan and talked with a very nice person on the phone and she stated that they "PROVIDE a PREMIUM SERVICE"!
I stated that it was a plumbing job- the service person didn’t show up in a tux or a suit, the equipment and tools that he used were like all others we have seen and he was able to do the job efficiently in a time that is in the industry
WHAT MAKES IT PREMIUM?? The only thing that makes GENZ RYAN a Premium service is the PREMIUM PRICE- NO MORE NO LESS!!
When the average plumber charges between $and $an hour, how and why does GENZ RYAN charge $an hour??????
I received a call about a week later from their customer service representative and we have been forever trying to get in contact for three weeksI think they thought I’d stop calling but I called last week and they stopped trying to call backThis must be their tactic to lose people that in their right mind have a legitimate complaint and they will not deal with them It is not surprising that the customer service desk is so busy as I'm sure there are hundreds more unhappy clients like me that are wondering why and how a hometown company can be gouging us so wrong
I will never ever use Genz-Ryan for anything else and would recommend to all others to shop elsewhere

I just had service on my air conditioning system by Michael BHe explained everything he was checking and all of my options for fixing thingsHe was very patient with my questions

Genz-Ryan overall is A+++From the beginning they have been courteous, professional and honestThe customer service they provide is a class actThe Install Technician, John Burke, installed my new furnace in temps over degreesIf he ran into a challenge, he met it and exceeded it with excellent repairI cannot say enough about how amazing this company and all of the employees are!!

I had a very good experience with Genz Ryan when they came quickly to fix my furnace I would recommend them to anyone that needs repair with their furnace or other appliances

Noah was extremely knowledgeable and thorough when writing up an estimate to add heat to the upstairs of my home He provided multiple options along with costs at the initial appointment

Genz is fantastic, they Zac understood the issue quickly and repaired itHe was courteous and professional and ensure I understood everything that was needed and everything he did to resolve our issue

We had a service plan with Genz-Ryan and after the first two visits they made to their house, it's two strikes, they're out
First, we were charged extremely high prices for service and labor ($for a $part to be installed) The technician sold us an upgraded motor for our furnace We do not know how to install any HVAC equipment, so to be honest, we just paid it
Second, we had a technician come to do an A/C checkup and not only was the service tech rude to me, but my wife He also answered a phone call from his dispatcher on speakerphone while working in our house - the dispatcher told him he needed to go back to his last call because he was there an hour ago and their A/C did not work He responded very sarcastically and made fun of the customer We felt this was unprofessional Then, as he was leaving, I asked if we could have the old part back that he had upgraded He responded by telling me that it was "his part now" and that I could not have it back He put it in his bag and told me "possession is 9/of the rule, so it's not yours anymore." I will never know why he wanted to take that part and not give it back to me, but the next part of this story is what made me very suspicious
Just one day after the service had been completed, our A/C did not work I called Genz-Ryan to have them come back and fix our A/C They sent a technician back the same day I called Apparently the original technician had wired the unit incorrectly and forgotten to turn the power back on The technician who ultimately made the repair made an excuse that it might have been "a long day" for the guy who made the mistakesMy opinion, Genz-Ryan -- don't send a technician out who cannot perform the service
I called Genz-Ryan to try and reach a solution, and fortunately, their customer service manager allowed me to get out of the service plan Based on this experience, and experiences other customers I know have had, I would not recommend this business to anyone I know
